Gothic Cathedral Spire Cabinetry Finial Wall Decor Tramp Art
I listed this decorative component as a finial but I honestly don't know what its original purpose was. It is hand"whittled" and assembled with nails and glue in a tramp art fashion. I especially like the rubbed finish which highlights the detailing. It is about the most unique item I have ever offered. There are some minor chips and cracks but the overall condition is quite suitable for a decorative object. It is 30" x 10" x 5" Many items I am selling came from a furniture and designcompany that went out of business in 1997. Some pieces were removed fromfurniture that was in disrepair other pieces were left over stock fromarchitectural design projects. Superb Carved Wood Celtic Cross Gothic Cruciform
This is a finely carved wooden cross that could be used as an onlay. Hung on the wall, or decorate a shelf. The celtic knot relief carving sets this apart from an ordinary crucifix. It is 13.25" x 6" x 5/8" This item was consigned by a furniture and design company that went out of business in the 1990's. Some pieces were removed from furniture that was in disrepair other pieces were left over stock from architectural design projects. This piece can be combined with others to save on shipping.

Furness American Victorian Modern Gothic cast iron house finial 26" Aesthetic
Here is a wonderful and rarely found cast iron roof finial from a Victorian house in Eastern Pennsylvania. The geometry and precision of the design recalls the work of Philadelphia architect Frank Furness. Unfortunately. I don't know where exactly this finial came from as it came from a local auction. H: 26, D: 11.5, W: 9" the finial top is solid cast iron and weighs over 30 lbs. Painted with a rust-brown color, it shows evidence of rust under the paint when turned upside down. SUPERB 19thc GOTHIC MAHOGANY FINIAL WITH CARVED LEAF DETAIL
Superb 19thc gothic mahogany wood carved finial of domed design. Excellent attention to detail on this finial with all carving in relief. Mounted onto a square base the finial has a domed gothic shape with leaves carved in relief and with decorative beading running the length of some of the lower large leaves. Measures some 8.5" height. The base is some 4.25" square. Condition is excellent and age commensurate with a small area of damage to the wood where the circular base meets the square base and another minor bit of damage to a leaf where the wood is shaved away. This spike is 10 ½” long with an inside thread and the attachment piece screws inside to add another 1” making this 11 ½” overall in length and the base is just under 1” There are a couple tiny scratches otherwise this all over Verdigris finish is great. I think but am not positive that it’s brass under the green. The name pressed into one side is Kretzer St. Louis. I have no idea if it’s a persons name or a company. Anyway. Cool item to collect.
