This belonged to a family member that acquired many beautiful antiques from the 1800's. The patinated bronze medallian contains the chariot theme with a cherub and 2 lions. Two Vintage Glass Finials and a Victorian Glass Door-Drawer Pull. The Opalescent Finial is 3 1/2 inches long and 1 5/8 inches wide with a 1/4 screw hole. It has a chip on the top that is hard too see but you can feel it. The Shark tooth Finial is 1 3/4 inches long. It has cool bubbles inside. It also has a tiny rough spot on the top. I am not sure what size the thread is. The Victorian Pull has a 2 3/4 inch base. The Glass Ball is 1 1/2 by 1 1/2 inches. It is 1 3/4 inches front to back. Big French Green Opaline Glass Newel Post Finial
A lovely old French Opaline Glass Newel Post Finial. The Finial is made from a pale green opaline glass and the fittings are brass. When the light passes through the glass it is translucent and has an attractive paneled design because of the ribs. The Finial is BIG at 7 1/2" high x 3 1/4" in diameter. It has a threaded hole on the bottom which is approximately 5/16" in diameter. It is in very good overall condition with no chips or cracks in the glass. The only thing to note is a small gap on the bottom of the glass where it meets the brass, it is very secure so it is probably in the making. The brass has 2 dents where someone used a tool to remove it from it's newel post, see photos. The finial looks great as a decorative accessory and would be perfect in a Victorian decor. Dec.1.91. 1(which from my research would be the Victorian era near the turn of the century c1891) These estate sale finds are extremely hard to come by and from what I have gathered rather rare and collectible. Huge diamond facet cut crystal glass antique boule d'escalier newel post finial
Gorgeous antique newel post finial. Solid and extreamly heavy! The base is brass. And I have not seen many finials with such ornate detail on the brass base, so I would consider this quite rare. There is some slight damage to the brass where it looks like it was removed fom the newel post(I'm guessing) there are extreamly minor surface scratches on the crystal- but in remarkable condition over all. This piece is threaded on the inside of the base as well as having screw holes on each side of the base for mounting. Over all hight is between 6.5 and 6.75 inches overall.

Up for sale is a really neat amber glass Czecho-Slovakia vintage lamp prism finial.Marked Made is Slovakia-Czecho on the bottom brass.Overall length just over 4"The really neat thing is its coffin shape. And small rose designs on the brass clasp.Its does have a couple small flea bite nicks in the glass, and the clasp mesh area that holds the prism is bent some, and the prism is loose and moves back and forth.But, the prism does not come out.Please see pics.Really neat looking 1920's style deco looking finial.Any questions please ask.Thanks for looking.

Magnificent antique Victorian hand blown glass controlled bubble newel post finial. Truly one of a kind! Wonderful depth of color in a medium turquoise blue. Original machine threaded solid brass collar/base. Ground glass[not polished] on bottom. Made to be attached to the main newel post at the bottom of the stair hand railing. Impressive 6-1/2" high total& about 5" across at center. 15-3/4" around[circumference] at center. Intricate& beautifully executed design of controlled bubbles. Each inside a diamond shape leading into ribs at bottom. Brass collar is 2-1/2" in diameter. I found this years ago near where I live in Cumberland County, South Jersey; no knowledge of its origins. Wonderful condition with no chips, cracks or crazing. Unique reminder of some of the glorious Victorian designs of the late 1800's& ... moreearly 20th century. No Reserve.
