CLOISONNE BOX & MATCH SET Japanese or Chinese no marks, foo dog finials Smoking?
This is a marvelous multi compartmented cloisonne box. It is square 6 1/4 X 6 1/4inches and 1 1/4 inches tall on it's round feet. Without the match box, which adds another 2 1/4 inches; and heavy it weighs two pounds. There are four pieces, the body, two lids with brass foo dog finials and the matchbox. It is white with a very dense curlicue diaper, the flower and leaf pattern is done is in shades of royal blue and turquois, the inside color is light green. It is in good but not like new condition, there are chips ond the undersides of the lids and on the four sides and there may have been a handle on it at one time- there iare bits of solder on two sides(see pictures. Magnificent matching pair of 1920's Carlton Ware urns with gold foo dogs as finials. Made in England. These are just spectacular and in excellent condition. One one tiny paint chip on the inside rim of one of them. The stamp on the bottom dates them to the 1920's. The scene is Japanese and the colors are coral, turquoise,golf, green, light blue and white all on a deep cobalt blue glossy background. Each stands 15" tall to the top of the finial. It's unusual to find a matching pair in such good condition. These would look fantastic flanking a fireplace in the traditional English decor. 3 Vintage Animal Trophy Topper Finials 1 Collie Dog 1 Spaniel Dog and 1 Cow
These are 3 old metal trophy topper final things. The cow is 4" long and is marked 1950 or 56 along with Dodge Inc CHGO Newark LA with 153. The Spaniel dog is about 3 3/4" long and is marked 1956 Dodge Inc CHGO Newark LA with 151. The Collie dog is marked Tropar 2X on the bottom and is about 3 3/4" long. All 3 have a bolt on the bottom so they would screw onto whatever trophy base it goes with. Overall. These are really neat thingamajiggies. Check out my other auction's! Magnificent monumental matching pair of 1920's Carlton Ware urns with gold foo dogs as finials. Made in England. These are just spectacular and in excellent condition. One one tiny paint chip on the inside rim of one of them. The stamp on the bottom dates them to the 1920's. The scene is Japanese and the colors are coral, turquoise,golf, green, light blue and white all on a deep cobalt blue glossy background. Each stands 15" tall to the top of the finial. It's unusual to find a matching pair in such good condition. These would look fantastic flanking a fireplace in the traditional English decor.
