This is a wonderful auction for an ornate thumb Latch Door Pull Plate made by Sargent& Co. Made of cast bronze or brass with a deep pattern on the face. Handle and the thumb tab. a patent dated 1880 is seen behind it. Approximately 10"x3" The beautifully shaped back plate and handle boasts of the same design featuring double diamonds on scrolling leaves or vines on a textured background with a smooth border at the edges. The handle can be inverted for preference of orientation.

Head turned to the right, standing on a small dome. I think it made be brass or a pot metal, it is not magnetic. I am uncertain if this has been painted over with gold paint at one time, where the paint is chipped I can see the feathers in more detail.would probably look very nice when it is striped. Between Eagles legs is a predrilled hole to mount a thin flag pole on back. The back is cast open to rest pole and has the initials MC stamped inside. Eagle shows great detail in brass. This is a beautiful vintage Eagle Flag Pole topper that came out of an Estate Sale along time ago. I believe it is cast brass but I am no expert on metals. I have seen some that say cast aluminum but on the bottom where the hole is it definitely looks gold. It weighs a bit over 2lbs and is 11" tall by 5" wide. Vintage Large Cast Iron Fence Post Lightning Rod Finial Threaded Brass Plug NOS
Unusual cast iron post finial or? Vintage Mid-Century NOS item found in my late 97 year old uncles shop. Rocket shaped solid cast iron. 10 1/4" long x 2 1/4" at the widest point. It is 2/3 hollow, has a threaded shaft with a slotted brass plug that I think has 1" threads. If you know what this is, or what other purpose it served, I'd appreciate any info.

Fantastic. Impossible to find something similar item. Stands 12-5/8 tall with a sq base 4-3/4" The ball is approx. 5-1/4 in dia. Was obviously off an outside cast iron fence post,ther is rust pitting around the bottom edge where it was locked down and retained water in the gap. It does not detract from its awesome look. Use it as a stand alone decorative piece or mount it to a post inside or out. I pack well and usually ship out quickly,check my feedback and other listings for more great items.

Antique Cast Iron Acorn Finial Screwed Into Brass Cap
This antique finial has lost surface detail and is crusted with pitting. It has a lot of surface roughness. It was salvaged before being destroyed after decades of sitting in the weather. It is a primitive cast iron item. It measures 3 inches tall from the tip to the ring around the bottom above the threads. It has very fine threads where it is screwed into the brass cap. They do screw apart despite their age. The second. Third and forth photos show all 3 sides of the finial. Some of the roughness may brush out with a wire brush, but I am not sure.
