Vintage Brass Bronze Eagle Flag Pole Finial Architectural Americana
Up for auction is a vintage brass or bronze eagle flag finial recently found at auction in the suburban Philadelphia. PA area. It is found in good used condition. It is still on a pole which can be removed by unscrewing it from its base. Once unscrewed, there is a 1/4" screw underneath it. I believe the eagle to be brass or bronze, as it will not attract a magnet. It features natural patina, which shows itself as spotting on the sleeve. The wing span is approximately 3 1/2" wide. The eagle is also 3 1/2" tall. A very nice finial. Very nice for reuse or to be used as a finial again. After pulling on the wood for awhile, I finally got it loose. Unfortunately, our photos were already taken. This piece will be included as the photos indicated. This is a wonderful auction for an ornate thumb Latch Door Pull Plate made by Sargent& Co. Made of cast bronze or brass with a deep pattern on the face. Handle and the thumb tab. a patent dated 1880 is seen behind it. Approximately 10"x3" The beautifully shaped back plate and handle boasts of the same design featuring double diamonds on scrolling leaves or vines on a textured background with a smooth border at the edges. The handle can be inverted for preference of orientation.

Antique Pair 2 of Acorn or Pinecone Brass Bronze Newel Post Cap Finials Germany
This pair is 3 1/2" high. not counting the screw) 2 1/2" across center, 6 3/4" around middle of acorn or pinecone. Screw is 1 1/4" all the way into the cap, about 1" extends beyond edge of cap. Marked Germany on each. They weigh 9.5oz each. Solid brass or bronze, a magnet does not stick, but it does to the screw part. There is some rust on the underside as shown. These would have many uses, great on a newel post, or a broken pediment on a secretary or chest or bed, on the top of bed posts. The possibilities are endless. I don't really know what to call them, acorns, pinecones, pineapples, or artichokes. LOL just threw that last one in for laughs. Just drill a pilot hole and screw it in. For your consideration we have a great vintage eagle flag pole finial. It has a loop in it. This retro finial came from a recent estate auction. All-metal construction. Likely bronze. I am guessing mid-century for this. But cannot be sure. Size: wing tip to wing tip is 5-1/2" Finial height without base is 2-1/2" Base is maybe 5/8" wide and inserts 3/4" in. Condition: GOOD vintage. Some darkening to the original gold finish. A rusty scratch in the base which I believe to be from removing this from a rusty metal pole. Small cracks on the base of the wings from manufacture which do not affect the strength or look of this piece at all. The loop appears a little over-ground when it was dressed during manufacture. Antique brass or bronze figural finial in the shape of a man with a musket.dating to around the turn of the century. This old figural finial has a screw protruding from one leg. And on its' back there is a plate with one screw hole- and a second screw hole is below the plate. This finial would have been secured to some object by means of these three screws.maybe a clock or some other object. It measures 5 1/2" high. The detail is amazing for what it is and how old it is. The man's dress is perhaps 1700s or 1800s.the hair is worn long with a hat. He wears a coat. A kerchief or neck cloth, and high boots. He has a musket at his side.perhaps French or English? Since my grandmother passed away and we are tasked with closing out the estate. Group of Four Antique Eagle Finials Up for your consideration is this group of antique eagle finials. These are not magnetic. Probably brass or bronze. Each measures about 4" tall without the screw, each one has wings spread, head turned right, three are perched on a ball, on with a screw, one is missing legs and ball. After taking some pictures, it looks like two were soldered at the legs near the body possibly to reattach or make sure they were secured correctly which they are. I am not sure if these were architectural pieces or for flag toppers. Very nice details in all of them, probably 19th century. Some tarnishing slightly. Wing span is 3" I will combine shipping! Fantastic. Impossible to find something similar item. Stands 12-5/8 tall with a sq base 4-3/4" The ball is approx. 5-1/4 in dia. Was obviously off an outside cast iron fence post,ther is rust pitting around the bottom edge where it was locked down and retained water in the gap. It does not detract from its awesome look. Use it as a stand alone decorative piece or mount it to a post inside or out. I pack well and usually ship out quickly,check my feedback and other listings for more great items.

2 Vintage Unusual Heavy Large Bronze Look Brass Finials, 7 1/8”
Offered for auction are two matching large brass finials with a bronze look finish. These are somewhat mottled in appearance. You may want to polish them. These finials are 7 1/8” long. The top almost looks like a candle holder with its curved acanthus leaves. These have a threaded screw hole that is about 1/8. Antique Vintage Finial of sorts.I am not sure if this actually came off of a flagpole or something else. It is a super heavy piece weighing 8.35 ounces. It does not stick to a very strong 65 pound magnet. It is approximately 2" tall with a 5 inch wingspan. I can not completely commit to the type of metal. However it appears brass or bronze in color and does not stick to a very strong magnet.I really think it's solid Brass I photographed the bottom of the base putting my camera through a loop because to me it looked like there was a possible marking there.Perhaps a TC?
