Group of 11 Antique Brass Ball Finial Up for your consideration is this group of 11 assorted antique brass ball finials. first there are four ball finials with a nice muted patina. Measures 1 3/4" diameter and about 2 1/4" tall, hollow interiors but very solid brass, threaded base, small dents on all but three, one base is bent. Next are three similar ball finials with the same dimensions, the brass on each is scratched and they are slightly lighter. Next is a pair of hollow lighter brass finials with exposed screws, they look like planets, no dents, measures 1 1/2" in diameter and tall. I am unsure if these pieces go together but probably came from the same piece.There are four ball finials(hollow) Four shapely separators which consist of two pieces put together(hallow) and a group of 13 small brass balls. All the larger balls and separators have dents but there are no cracks and all the small balls have white paint on them. Group of Four Antique Eagle Finials Up for your consideration is this group of antique eagle finials. These are not magnetic. Probably brass or bronze. Each measures about 4" tall without the screw, each one has wings spread, head turned right, three are perched on a ball, on with a screw, one is missing legs and ball. After taking some pictures, it looks like two were soldered at the legs near the body possibly to reattach or make sure they were secured correctly which they are. For sale is a lot of 4 antique brass toppers. I am unsure of their original purpose. They may have been fence or bed post finials. Two of them appear to have been polished up a little the other two still have a deep brass patina. One of the finials screw holes has torn through. Normal wear from use can also be found. Dimensions- 2" tall X 2" wide Opening is 7/8" in diameter. I am selling the lot as is. Please review all photos and ask any questions prior to purchasing. Two interesting antique finials. Solid brass. 2.75" high. 1.25" wide base and the ball itself is 1.5" diameter. The mounting hole on the bottom is 3/8-16" Stamped: J. Blum& Co. Inc. New York" on the base. Original use unknown. I suspect it was an architectural accent or detail. I polished them but I wasn't thorough. The cosmetic condition shows wear. The photos document it. Unusual.
