You are considering a vintage wall/hall/sofa table constructed from vintage parts. The focal point is an antique pediment found at a local antique shop. The vintage legs are from hard wood 4x4 fence posts salvaged from an old local barn. The top and side braces are from the fence rails salvaged at the same farm. The table is solid and heavy. Lovely Antique Eastlake Era Carved Wood Pediment GREAT Over Door Well. I am back from a monster shopping trip to the World’s Longest Yard Sale– we shop Ohio every year and then stop at some of my favorite spots in Indiana to buy from. Spent 2 whole days taking photos and still not done– I have a LOT and I’ll be listing for weeks. There’s something for everyone- primitive antiques, ephemera, military, railroad, industrial, farm finds– you name it, I have it and it’s all unique– you’ll want to keep checking, as I will list every day. Enjoy! Here is a beautiful antique late 1800s carved wood pediment for you. It's one of the simpler ones that I have seen(which is what I love about it! with 6 vertical carved wood lines that separate the 5 down facing triangle points of wood and that have a round carved notch at the top. And a raised double ... moreround piece at the very top center of the pediment that reinforces the round carving. I don't know if this was a furniture or an architectural piece, but it was once attached to something for sure- the bottom left and right are rough from where it was attached. I see no other indication of how it was attached- no mounting holes now open, no marks at the back- whatever it used to be, it appears to have only been attached at the left and right undersides. It's not a cut there either, the roughness is uneven as if they were broken off, but you can't tell that from the front, only when looking at them closely from the underside. The piece is solid wood- I won't know what kind but the patina is darkdarkdark. It measures 33" at its widest, and 11 1/2" tall. The wood on the sides is 15 1/6" thick and it is hefty, weighing just over 4 1/4 lbs. I'm concerned about the shipping to some locations, as it will have an oversize balloon rate, being over 84" packed girth plus height. Gorgeous Ornate Antique Brass or Bronze Pediment Fancy Lady WOW! 147 Mark Ooooh. Got very lucky this week at one of my favorite flea markets. I have just about everything, from the very old and primitive to the very unique with some fabulous folk art thrown in too! I’ll be listing all week, so keep checking back! This one is a showpiece for sure. A real WOW. If I ever saw one- it stopped me in my tracks. What I have is an antique pediment of some sort- a decorative piece that I don't know if it was an architectural piece(like some type of baluster) or a furniture piece, so I have listed it under both. At first, I thought it was bronze, but it has more of a brass patina to me, so I believe that it's brass(it's one or the other for sure- please supersize and see what you think) It's also very old- my best estimate is at least ... moreturn of the last century, if not before. As you can see from my photos, the gorgeous image is of a woman with her arms raised, fingers clasped together. Very regal, as you can see the folds of her dress draping down fancily toward the center of the piece. The decoration continues down, with fancy almost flower like designs- see photo 5. I have no idea who the maker is, but it's marked on the backside with the number 147 in the metal. Now, at first, I though, Oh, is it some type of hook or handle? but then I saw that not only did it mount from the body(see photo 20, directly behind the head) but it also mounted at the base- see photo 19. In photo 20, you can see threads on the inside of the two holes from where a screw used to fit. I'm going to guess that they are on the inside of the two holes in photo 19, it's just that whoever removed the piece, it appears, cut the screws rather than unscrewing them- you can see the nubs of them sticking out at the base. The base of the screws are in there, not the head- the head would have been attached to whatever this piece was. I don't know if or how you'd be able to get them out if you wanted them gone, but I will tel

Gorgeous Antique Victorian Carved Walnut Architectural PEDIMENT Crest Crown
ANTIQUE CARVED PEDIMENT CREST Striking antique Victorian carved walnut dresser. Mirror or bed pediment crest measuring 28-1/2" long, about 16" tall and about 1-5/8" deep at the thickest point. Featuring simple carved and stylized graduated arms on each side edge, center is finished with two incised leaves around a tiered floral mount- an applied crown or crest completes the top. The peak is pierce carved with a charming heart design- crest is made of two pieces that are block mounted with an overlap creating an almost three-dimensional effect. Condition is very nice with no cracks. Discoloration, worm holes or damage- it may have a few tiny scuffs or rubs and some age related usage wear, but has been hanging on my bedroom wall over a large cheval mirror for years and other than cased dust, it is in wonderful shape! Small Fancy Primitive Antique Carved Wood Architectural Pediment Piece We traveled an hour and a half South into central Illinois for a football game this week. And I took the opportunity of going treasure hunting in the cornfields. I found a surprising variety– there’s something for everyone this week! Here is a lovely small antique wood pediment piece for you. It's fancy. Yet primitive shabby at the same time. In excellent solid and sturdy condition, it has very worn and chippy paint- you can see white under the current coat and honestly, it's so dirty, it's hard to tell if the current coat is tan, or if it's white and just covered with dirt and dust- please see my photos and what you think. It really needs a good bath, and I do not clean or mess with as found patina in any way. It measures 5" wide at the base, 4" ... morewidest at the carved wood top, 7 1/4" tall and 1 1/2" deep at the sides. It weighs just over 1/2 lb. It's solid, carved wood and it's beautiful. As you can see in my photos, the bottom is not painted on the front and back, and the sides of the base were never painted either. You can see one small hole on the front left- I am guessing it's from where/how it was mounted. The paint is very chippy and crackly and worn all over- yummy! GORGEOUS ANTIQUE LARGE SOLID WALNUT HAND CARVED FURNITURE PEDIMENT
Up for bid is a very large. Solid walnut, antique furniture pediment. Believed to be from the mid to late 19th century this beautifully hand carved pediment could be just the piece you've been looking for to compliment that project waiting in your shop. The pediment stands 25" high x just under 59" in length x 4-1/4" deep. There are a few minor chips, scuff areas or missing carving near the top, shown in the pictures as a lighter wood, probably a part that was recent damage, prior to my purchase. The lower portion as I show in the 11th picture, on the rear of the pediment, also has some minor damage, but it is on the back edge and less noticeable. The panels, with incised carved that flank the center carving, maybe a burled walnut veneer, so with a little light elbow grease, perhaps this piece after some clean up, could ... moreshow those panels off a little better. If you are looking for a large 19th century solid walnut furniture pediment to crown a piece of furniture, whether, antique or something you've created new and need just the perfect piece, not only do you want to look no further, but you also don't want to miss out bidding on this gem. Finely detailed. Cast iron pediment featuring swirls of oak leaves, branches and acorns. Each of the leaves measure about 5" long and each of the four acorns are 1 3/4" long. Would look great over a door or window, or over a mirror or picture. It's unpainted; just nicely polished metal. All cast iron. Weighing approximately 6 pounds, 10 ounces and measuring 25 5/8" long by 7 3/8" tall by 11/16" deep at the base. There are two holes, 5" in from each end, for securing the piece to a foundation. Stunning Victorian Era 1800s Antique Carved Wood Pediment Over Mantel Mirror? We traveled an hour and a half South into central Illinois for a football game this week. And I took the opportunity of going treasure hunting in the cornfields. I found a surprising variety– there’s something for everyone this week! The best word to describe this one is AWESOME! I took one look at it. And it stopped my in my tracks. I don't know if it is a part from a piece of furniture, or an architectural piece- but my guess is latter. It looks like some type of small over mantel or maybe over a mirror or hall tree. It's a stunning fancy Victorian era pediment that will be yours to decide, though. made of solid wood with a very dark patina, it measures 21" widest, 7 1/2" deepest and 31" tallest at the center of the top decoration- that's ... moremeasuring on the farthest spots of the outside walls. The inside(measuring on the inside walss of the front) opening is 16 5/8" wide 4 7/8" deep front to back at the lower unadorned half, amd 18" tall from the bottom of the feet to the"ceiling" on the inside top. It weighs a smidge under 8 lbs. It's in excellent solid and sturdy structural condition- with tongue and groove construction that you can see at the back- this is a quality piece. At the front bottom half, if you look at photos 10& 11, you can see two small nail holes on either side- so it was clearly mounted to or behind something on that lower half. The good news is that it stands on its own as it is- as you can see in my photos, and also that it's stained the same color there- although not varnished, I don't believe, but because of the stain, it really does not stand out to me- see what you think in my photos. The finish is in overall nice shape- with some scratching and scraping. There's a 4" long light shallow scratch the top left that you can see in photo 8. There's some other smaller scratches there too. That's the worst of it as far as the front/show
