Circa 1900, while the other two are from an unknown manufacturer. You will receive the following: Two(2) 5-1/8 inch Shakers with decorative finials on their lids. They have a combined weight of 72 grams. From an unknown manufacturer. They are marked STERLING on their undersides. They both have a few shallow bumps. Along with a few small areas of tarnish, but no serious problems. We rate their condition as very good. Two(2) 3-1/4 inch Shakers from Wilcox and Wagoner. They have a combined weight of 71 grams. The undersides have the Wilcox& Wagoner mark. STERLING. And pattern number 8832. They are monogrammed"C" on their sides(visible in our pictures) But the monograms are quite faint. Both have some shallow but isolated bumps, and one has a repaired bottom(see the one on the left in the last picture) We rate the repaired one as good, and the other as being in very good condition. Each shaker measures 4" high and ... moreabout 2" in diameter at the widest part. The lids have a couple of very small dents. The salt lid looks like someone couldn't open it, and used some sort of tool to grip the lid, causing little dents on opposite sides of the lid, just above the threads. The salt shaker also has a couple of very tiny flakes at the edge of the base, and the pepper shaker has a little bump just above the bottom, which occurred in the molding of the glass. These shakers were molded, then cut, and there are several very tiny imperfections in the making, which can be seen with close examination using a magnifying glass. Some of these are shown in the photographs, but they are hard to see. If you have any questions. Or need more information, please don't hesitate to ask before bidding. At this point, I have not been able to determine if they still make the Strasbourg pattern. Since this pattern has run for so long, I am not able to determine their exact age, unfortunately. It seems that the average(combined) weight of these shakers is around 2.76oz. NOTE: The shakers you are bidding on HAVE NOT been weighed by me. ABOUT THE SHAKERS YOU'RE BIDDING ON: As mentioned above. They are of the 1138(Strasbourg" pattern. There is no monogram or Gorham logo; the bottoms of the shakers simply say, GORHAM STERLING 1138" The"8" is stamped a bit more lightly than the rest of the letters and numbers; the stamping is consistent in that way(see photos 3, 4, and 5) There are no other pieces included in this auction, other than the two shakers described. DEFECTS: These shakers have been used. Other than the fact that they could use a tad more polishing than I was able to do. They are in good shape, overall(photos 1 and 2) The tops unscrew(photos 8, 9, and 10; photo 10 highlights the insides of the tops) and the insides are relatively clean, albeit there is still some tarnish inside(see photos 6 and 7) That said, there is a dent on one of them, roughly 1/3 of the way from the bottom(see photos 11 and 12- the last two photos) There is a tad bit of tarnish where the ding is(unable to photograph t

They look like McCoy but I do not know for sure. There aren't any cracks or chips- the paint has rubbed or chipped off in places. Here is a nice Antique Set of Hand Painted Bavarian Salt and Pepper Shakers. On the bottom of the Pepper Shaker is stamped R. C. Versailles. Bavaria and the signature E.C. Meyer. On the bottom of the Salt Shaker is the signature E.C. Meyer only. For some reason R.C. Versailles Bavaria is not stamped on the bottom of the Salt Shaker. Not sure why but they are obviously a pair. Both have the corks and are in very nice condition. The pepper looks to be in near perfect condition with an exception of some very minor wear on the bottom where it contacts its resting surface. The Salt Shaker also has some wear spots on the bottom as well.along with a few small chips that are barely noticeable. They are not obvious. This one pair of shakers was part of my Grandmothers' estate. They say"Allspice" and"Paprika" They could use a small light cleaning. I will leave that up to the new owner. ANTIQUE NIPPON ~ Windmill Pattern ~ Pre 1921 ~ SALT & PEPPER SHAKERS SET
THIS IS A RARE PAIR OF NIPPON HAND PAINTED SALT& PEPPER SHAKERS! I don’t want to remove the corks to find out if these have ever been used. As the corks are in very good condition and are inserted very tightly. Each shaker is marked“Hand Painted Nippon” on the bottoms. Rims(top& bottom) are lined with 24K gold. The holes on top are also trimmed in gold. Along with a unique scroll pattern. The issue date is before 1921. They measure 2 ¾” high, 2” at the widest, and 1 ½” across the bottom. They have a nice landscape scene of a windmill. Red roofed barn and a large tree. No chips, cracks or crazing, tiny specks as seen in photo#2. They do not look near as big as the picture makes them out to be. NOTE: According to the McKinley Tariff Act. All Japan-made wares exported to the USA were marked NIPPON(which means JAPAN in Japanese) ... moreuntil 1921. In 1921 the import laws were revised and the words“Made in. had to be added to the country of origin. You are bidding on a cute 3 piece set of Vintage Cardinal Red Birds in a basket SALT& PEPPER Shakers. The birds measures 2.5" inches tall and 3" wide out of the basket. Both birds have their stoppers in bottom. Condition of this set is fair becasue there is some paint missing on both birds and one birds little beak is broken on one side but this doesn't glare out at you when looking at the set. They both are a pumpkin orange color& both have a bow around their necks knotted in the back. Both have white triangular looking eyes with jet black pupils. They are both seated on their haunches with th eir big paws in front of them. Their ears are somewhat droopy or a bit floppy! They both have short stubby tails. Too!
