It is 17.75" x 6.5" x 3/4" This item came from a furniture and design company that went out of business in the 1990's. Some pieces were removed from furniture that was in disrepair other pieces were left over stock from architectural design projects.

2 Ornate Carved Furniture Pediment Victorian Neoclassical Cabinet Crest Carving
2 antique carved headers. Great accent pieces straight from the Victorian era. One looks like oak. The other may be mahogany, but not certain. Top one has a raised beveled cornice across the top and nice fluted center carving. Other one has recessed panels left and right with leafy carving on a textured background. Larger one measures approx. 37 inches by 7 1/4 inches. Other one measures approx. 32 1/2 by 5 1/4 inches. Both show age/wear with a chip and slight cracking to applied carving. Wooden Eagle Pediments Pair of 2 Antique Architectural Federal Era Hand Carved
For your Early American Eagle collection or architectural restoration project we have a Pair of Two Wooden Eagle Pediments Antique Architectural Federal Era Birds that are Hand Carved in the early 1800's. These were recently mounted on iron stands for display. Using the original holes which go through from the top to the bottom in two places on each pair to host the iron rods that they are now fixed onto. Fairly substantial in size, each of these facing eagles actually measures 10" high x 13 1/2" wide x 1 1/4" deep(thick) and are ready for display on these stands that bring them up to 13" tall. Together they weigh 8 pounds 3.5 ounces including the iron stand. They show their age from alligatored varnish and a deepened patina to the wood. These look like they may have been painted over at one time. And have been dry ... morescraped to remove the paint. They have age cracks to the wood, including one that goes straight through the neck of one bird, yet have retained their aesthetic historic value and decorative appeal. The wood these are carved from is a very dense, hard wood. Hand carved eagle figures are still considered the epitome of collectible American folk art pieces and are generally associated with the Federal style era in architectural design. Which is a period that ranges from 1780 to 1830, appearing most commonly on frames, furniture, building ornamentation, and as motifs throughout the making of textiles and American advertising ephemera. To continue, Federal-style architecture is the name for the classic architecture built in North America between c. 1780 and 1830. And particularly from 1785 to 1815. ANTIQUE 1800's GOTHIC VICTORIAN ORNATE CARVED WOOD VINTAGE PEDIMENT CORNICE CRESTS A pair of very beautiful. 1800s, pediments that probably when on the back of chairs. They are made of solid wood and have openwork in the center with applied leaves on the sides. Each lovely crest measures approximately 14 1/2" across x 9 1/4" high(not including the dowels on the bottom) x 1 3/16" thick. The wood appears to have the original patina with some scratches to the surface finish. One of them(see photo) is missing the rosette in the middle and the wood is separating at the top and needs to be glued down(see photo) There must have been something else on the very top, because there is a dowel hole on the top of each one(see photo) Everything else looks great on these wonderful old pediments! Architectural Salvage Eastlake Pediment Carved /Appliqued Oak Vintage Decorative
This is an Eastlake-style pediment and my best guess is that it's off a dresser or a mirror. It is carved and the arch is an applique. The oak has no stain or varnish left on it and is quite lovely in that it's survived to find a new use as a decorative wall hanging. It is 22" long. 7" high and a little more than an inch thick.

This is a superb and a very unusual 18thc gothic oak wood pediment with two carved horse heads. The attention to carved detail on this pediment is wonderful. To the top of pediment is a shell with a superb horse head carved to either side. A leaf sprouts from the mouth of each horse. Large graduated carved roundel to centre of pediment with turned spindle type carving below. Floral carving on winding stem further decorated. Measures 15.25" max height x 27.25" overall length. VINTAGE(circa 1890-1900) GOTHIC STYLE CHANCEL SCREEN: This is a beautifully carved section of a heavy oak Church chancel screen. The piece is made up of a wide base rail. With a vertical section at each end, that has been joined with a dentiled top sub-rail section. The Gothic style shaping and carving is of high quality. It is very easy to see that the chancel screen was built with great care and high levels of workmanship(please note that the joints between the top section and vertical balustrade end sections did not originally match.These joints were purposely left with shims) Each side of the piece is similar in construction and finish. The heavy wide bottom rail has three hand carved oak leaf bosses on each side of the piece. The wood used to make this screen was very heavy and dense'old world' oak. The piece has been used as ... morea center piece for a large table or just displayed as an unusual example of Architectural Art. The dimensions of the piece are as follows: 19 1/2" ht. x 18 1/2" l. 7 1/2" d. The piece weighs approx. 16 1/2 lbs.

VINTAGE HAND CARVED EASTLAKE DESIGN CREST: Very nicely carved Eastlake crest. The two pieces of this mahogany crest were found two years apart. Unfortunately one small section of the bottom of the shield could not be found. The overall design of the crest is a very good example of Eastlake style carving with gold enamel inlay to highlight the carved areas. The two original finials are in place.The center panel on the shield is of a lighter color than the main body of the shield. Which is mahogany in color. Lovely Antique Eastlake Era Carved Wood Pediment GREAT Over Door Well. I am back from a monster shopping trip to the World’s Longest Yard Sale– we shop Ohio every year and then stop at some of my favorite spots in Indiana to buy from. Spent 2 whole days taking photos and still not done– I have a LOT and I’ll be listing for weeks. There’s something for everyone- primitive antiques, ephemera, military, railroad, industrial, farm finds– you name it, I have it and it’s all unique– you’ll want to keep checking, as I will list every day. Enjoy! Here is a beautiful antique late 1800s carved wood pediment for you. It's one of the simpler ones that I have seen(which is what I love about it! with 6 vertical carved wood lines that separate the 5 down facing triangle points of wood and that have a round carved notch at the top. And a raised double ... moreround piece at the very top center of the pediment that reinforces the round carving. I don't know if this was a furniture or an architectural piece, but it was once attached to something for sure- the bottom left and right are rough from where it was attached. I see no other indication of how it was attached- no mounting holes now open, no marks at the back- whatever it used to be, it appears to have only been attached at the left and right undersides. It's not a cut there either, the roughness is uneven as if they were broken off, but you can't tell that from the front, only when looking at them closely from the underside. The wood on the sides is 15 1/6" thick and it is hefty, weighing just over 4 1/4 lbs. Very unique. Vintage pair of tall, decorative, giltwood wall sconces/corbels/pediments. The pair feature figural, Roman or Greeks gods and have nicely carved details. They have the appearance of wooden bell pulls. The pair are tall and measure 29" in height. They are 4.5" at their widest measurement and they extend 2.5" from the wall. They are in very good condition. They have plastic wall hangers which have been a replacement at some point as the original holes are underneath. They are free of chips, cracks, etc. and their gilded finish is in tact. The color has deepened to a bronzed gold color. They are fairly lightweight pieces and are wood. Not Syroco styled synthetic. LOOONG! Very unusual size. Antique, salvaged pediment. Beautiful, high quality, 1/4 sawn oak construction. Incredible condition! Super deep carving gives it a real depth in person. It has a double beveled, bottom edge with raised trim across the top. Large cap finials on each end. It measures a whopping 58 1/2 inches long and about 7 1/2 inches tall. A board has been added on back for sturdiness. The ornate carved details are remarkably intact. One small chip on one end, otherwise magnificent condition. It is loaded with Eastlake Spoon Carvings. Brackets, corbels and ornate moldings. It is a great decor item. It measures 46 inches wide overall. 43.25 without the end moldings. It is 15.5 inches tall and 3 inches thick. Overall it is in good condition. There are misc. scratches and dings as it is antique. It could use a good cleaning but should clean up nicely.
