SHABBY ANTIQUE VTG CARVED WOOD CHERUB PUTTI WINDOW HEADER FRENCH? GESSO FRAME
FABULOUS OLD HEADER This is so yummy and fabulous for your french shabby chic home. Its got great gesso style work and a beautiful cupid in the center. The wood looks very old to me and its definitely not perfect. The left side is missing almost all its gesso and there are some knicks to the front and the right side corner is coming apart ever so slightly. The front for its age is in pretty good condition with only minor gesso loss in areas. Please see close up of photos for condition. Its really old and not perfect but its a beauty. Not sure how you would hang, you will have to add some brackets to get it hung properly, it doesnt come with anything to hang it. However, it does just sit upright if you sit it down, could be attched somehow to wall as a shelf or mantle, or used as a window valance with curtains hanging from it, so many endless ... morepossibilites with this treasure. Antique Primitive Carved Wood Architectural Salvage Pediment 3 Misc. pieces
Three unique vintage architectural salvage wood pieces. All are in very good vintage condition. Will need some cleaning, I will leave that up to their new owner, I don't know enough about old wood to clean it for fear or damaging it. First there is a nice hand carved pediment that measures 18 in. across X 5 in. at the tallest place and 3/4 in. in depth. Next is a unique fan shaped piece with some carving on it, the measurements are 10 in. from point to top X 8 in. at it's widest points and 1 in. at it's deepest depth. Last is a very detail carved rosette, some chipping on 2 of the petals(see pictures) there is a hole drilled in the middle. Overall very nice pieces. Thank you for looking.

Small Rustic Primitive Carved Wood Pediment Piece Tree Shaped!
Small Rustic Primitive Carved Wood Pediment Piece Tree Shaped! I brought home a truck load of items from the auction last week. It was a farm estate. And I found some fabulous primitive antiques, as well as boxes and boxes of antique and vintage hardware that I will be listing for a long long time- someone clearly was a woodworker or dabbled in furniture creation or restoration. There’s something for everyone! I have no idea what this antique carved wood pediment came off of. But I loved the fact that it looks like a pine tree in shape to me(not that that was the original intention of the piece) it's loaded with primitive charm. Measuring just 5 1/4" tall, it is 1 3/8" widest and only 1/4" thick(maybe just a smidge under) There's 1 round small mounting holes about 1" down from the top, and then there's a sliver(about ... more1/4" long and very thin) of air space at the bottom- at the seam of where the two sides of the"trunk of the tree" come together, right on top of the round ball shape that is there- that's original to the making, I don't think it's meant as a mounting hole, but you could use it as one too if you had a small enough nail. I'm showing in photos 10-12 that the bottom corner edges of the"tree trunk" as well as the bottom left of the base perimiter rim of the trunk look as if they were once part of a larger piece- broken off from that piece, the edges in those spots are not smooth. It's reallyreallyreally hard to notice, though- you have to look for it to see. There's no structural issues- it's in excellent solid and sturdy condition. The patina is dark and old- ranging from a medium brown to a dark brown on the front(and darker to almost black on the back) and I do think darker in person than the image on my screen in my photos(it's the light reflecting off of all the snow outside! There was a finial in the middle but it is missing. The body has a crown molding trimmed in reel and bead. There are repeating festoons with flowers and ribbons. Nice looking piece. It measures 64.5 inches long. By 14.5 inches tall and is 3.25 inches deep. Overall it is in good condition. There are misc. scratches and dings as it is antique. It could use a good cleaning.
