This is a nice vintage carved wood pediment. Probably in oak. The ornate carving is beautiful. It measures 15 1/2" wide by 7" at its highest point. First picture is front side and second picture is back side. This is a very nice decorative item.

ANTIQUE ARCHITECTURAL PANEL PIECE - HAND CARVED - FROM ENGLISH MANOR HOUSE
This is a wonderful hand carved panel or decorative pediment style piece. I do not know the exact age. But I know it was part of an old English Manor home that was deconstructed. Its' paneling and other"Old English" architectural elements were applied to a home in Kansas City Missouri. This is an extra piece that was not used in the home. It measures approximately 20" in length by about 6 3/4" at its' widest width and is 1" thick. There is a modern hanger attached to the back-as it has been hung for decoration. ANTIQUE HAND CARVED WOOD ARCHITECTURAL FRETWORK -FROM AN ENGLISH MANOR HOME
For your consideration is a marvelous hand carved wooden architectural piece from England. A gentleman in Kansas City Missouri brought over carved panels and fretwork from England(apparently one or more deconstructed Old Manor homes) and applied them to his own unique home. It was like stepping back in history! This particular piece(most likely due to the breakage) was a leftover that was not used in his home. It is approximately 13 3/4" by 8" by 3/4" at the longest widths. It is roughly carved and has a whimsical quality. The wood has been stained dark-almost an ebony. But I could not say for sure if it was truly"ebonized" at any time. I do not know the age, but I do know it is very old. At least 100+ years(minimal) I would guess it much older than that, but I have no way of knowing. This piece looks lovely by itself, ... morebut could be creatively re-purposed! This is a very rare find its three sections of embossed gilded tin over wood. They overlap to make it look like it's one long piece. Up for your consideration we have this beautiful window pediment from a WV farmhouse built in 1850. I believe it is made of pine and is quite heavy weighing about 15 pounds. It is a salvaged item and does have some imperfections such as a few nails sticking up out of it and lots of chipping paint. The paint does come off very easily when you touch it. It measures about 17" tall to the peak. 44.5" long and about 4" thick. This is a beautiful salvage piece. There is some paint chipping and great old paint crackle. On the right top edge there is a saw mark and the old pine wood has a very slight bow. This bow and tassel pediment is from the top of an old mirror frame. It measures approx. 6-5/8" high and 3-7/8" across the bottom. Description This is a nice piece that was salvaged from a Philadelphia Victorian home. It is made of oak and is currently painted. It was originally the crown to a built in armoire. There is a small shelf at the top that is trimmed in reel and bead molding. The breast has applied carved festoons with flowers. It measures 67.75 inches wide by 8.75 inches tall and is 3.25 inches deep. Overall it is in good co ndition. There are misc. scratches and dings as it is antique. It could use a good cleaning. North Carolina. We needed to replace a large number of rosettes during the restoration of our ca. 1890 Victorian Gothic home(over half of the original rosettes to our home had been removed in a 1952 renovation) Unfortunately. The milling company used the wrong blade/pattern when cutting the replacement rosettes for our home. Though we tried to resolve the problem by re-milling these rosettes, using the other side- in the end, we decided to start from scratch. Therefore. We are selling all the rosettes to barely offset what we've already spent towards this endeavor. Keep in mind that these blocks were hand cut precisely for the rosette size we needed, not to mention we drove well over an hour to drop off and retrieve them from the milling company who did the work for us. This listing is for an absolutely GORGEOUS long antique shelf. Oak is ALL tiger quartersawn wood. The entire shelf is oak and it's in wonderful condition with no damage. It came right off my own wall. It has sawtooth molding along front with no breakage or damage. It has two graceful brackets. Top is lovely and has a small oak edge strip to keep things from falling off. Measures 41" long and shelf top is 7" deep. Height is about 9" It would be ideal as a fireplace mantel because of the substantial length. Though I've used it to hold pottery and more substantial items. Grain is beautiful. I have always hung from two picture hangers wall. Has brackets on back which are new and strong. It's large but not so heavy that it is hard to manage.
