Description This is a great piece that was salvaged from a Philadelphia Victorian Home. It is made of oak and is currently painted white. It was originally the crown to a built in wardrobe. The shelf at the top is trimmed in reel and bead molding. The breast has repeating festoons with flowers. It measures 63.5 inches by 8 inches and is 3.5 inches thick. Overall it is in good condition. There are misc. scratches and dings as it is antique. It could use a good scrubbing but will clean up nicely. The right side has return moldings. The left side does not. Antique Brass Eagle with Scottish Thistle on Shield Plaque / Pediment RARE
This is a very interesting and unusual brass plaque/ pediment featuring the classic patriotic bald eagle with a banner in it's beak and holding a sheaf of arrows in it's talons. What sets it apart is the shield on the Eagle's chest which is emblazoned with a Scottish thistle and a stone of some kind. The plaque is substantial and heavy and free of damage other than patina on the brass which I'll leave for the new owner. Measuring approx. 7 inches by 8 inches. The blocks are 2 7/8" x 2 5/8" deep x 4 1/2" tall. This piece is very heavy. Made of solid fir and all blocks are complete and fully intact and there is no rot whatsoever. They have an aged original white painted patina and finish and these are absolutely beautiful and very rare! This is some of the best dentil molding we have ever had due to the size. No repairs, breaks or issue other than an occasional scratch. Stamped#14 on back. Finish has a nice sheen and has been lemon oiled to preserve the wood finish so it will arrive clean, pest and critter free. Description This is a nice piece that was salvaged from a Philadelphia Victorian home. It is made of oak and is currently painted. It was originally part of a built in armoire. The ends have ornate moldings. The center is framed by 2 corbels with a nice carved embellishment in between. It measures 43 inches wide without the end pieces. It is 9.75 inches tall and is 3.75 inches deep. Overall it is in good co ndition. There are misc. scratches and dings as it is antique. It could use a good cleaning.
