I couldnt believe that something this old could have been kep in such beautiful condition all these years. It looks as though it was lovingly covered and stored for over 50 years. Even the shade cover I discovered in thhe front compartment appears to have never been used! The original chrome'fenders' are shiny and bright! This easily converts from a buggies to a stroller. The label reads Europe Import Co. Detroit. My asking price reflects the fine original condition but of course I'm always open to a good offer so don't be shy! I would equate this buggie to a low milage garaged 50's automoblie discovered after years of hibernation. It measures roughly 35"L x 34"T x 19" W. This is not a doll stroller. This is meant for a baby and could be brought back into service for a special mother that appreciates a classic vintage style! Wouldnt this be a hit at a baby shower filled with presents? Payment. It has rolled sides and so me scrolls. Could use some glue on the back rest but the wicker itself is in remarkable condition considering how old it is and having n e ver been painted. The cushions are old and filled with excelsior. Obvioiusly. This old buggy is not perfect so please buy it as shown. It is really quite impressive in person and quite large. Rough measurements are about 45" long. 20" wide, 35" to top of handle. The back wheels are a big 22" in diame ter and the front wheels are 14" The wheels roll freely and smoothly. Nostalgic wicker baby doll pram/stroller made in Poland
This was acquired at the Brimfield Flea Market in Brimfield. MA about 10 years ago. I do not know the year this was made. The tag hanging off the dowel underneath has handwritten. Made in Poland" and marked $90. While the tag states Poland, I don't see a"made in" stamp on the carriage anywhere. Please note. The wicker that wraps around the base of the handle is a bit unraveled on the right side(see photo 6) and in photo 5.the string to put up the hood on the right side is a bit hard to get it to stay on the"knob" unless you really tuck it under and then it will stay. Other than that. I think it's in pretty good condition! I had it in my daughter's room for display as her decor was vintage baby items.

Vintage Wicker Pram Welcome! This pram is at least 40 years old. The owner received it for her child that long ago and said it was old then so perhaps it is antique. The make is unknown as it is unmarked. The removable red and blue padded seat cover that comes with it has the German label"die Storchenmuhle" on it. The owner says it is as old as the pram is. All components on the pram work well-no parts are missing from it. No splints are in the wicker. It operates very well mechanically. Glides and turns smoothly, etc. It is very sturdy and was well made and will collapse for easy storage. It has its original stain/varnish finish and rolls easily on four 10 inch metal-spoked wheels with hard rubber tires. The tires have lots of hard rubber left. All the metal pieces are their original dark green color. I believe this to be a child's replica of the"adult" sized convertible go cart. I have done research and have located a couple of catalogs that indicate for sale a"line of doll carriages and go carts that are the exact miniatures of our finest and best large-sized goods" from the Philadelphia Baby Carriage Factory 713-715 Spring Garden Street. Phila. in the late 1800s. Neat locking mechanisim for leg rest and adjustable back rest that lays back a few inches. 16" is the height of seat and the push handle is 34" The seat has a repair which is original but appears to have a glued crack, Turned wooden side rails/ handles and top handle are in good shape with no cracks etc. 16" back wheel span. This wicker stroller is awesome! It's got loads of charm! This wicker part of the stroller measures 19" x 9" As a whole it's 27" tall and 25" from end to end. It's fully functioning and great for dolls. Pets, babies or for a prop. It's in excellent condition given it's age. I'm guessing it was made in the 1930s. Local pick up is preferable on this piece. But I will assist in shipping if you'd like to make arrangements. There is a Grayhound station in town and that's often the cheapest way to transport items of this relative size. It steps outside of what I nomally purchase but I was so impressed with the fine original condition that i just had to buy it. I couldnt believe that something this old could have been kep in such beautiful condition all these years. It looks as though it was lovingly covered and stored for over 50 years. Even the shade cover I discovered in thhe front compartment appears to have never been used! The original chrome'fenders' are shiny and bright! This easily converts from a buggies to a stroller. ANTIQUE/ VINTAGE BUNNY RABBIT BABY DOLL BUGGIE SO UNIQUE AND QUITE RARE! The wheels are iron as are the bars that go up to the wood handle. The body of the buggie is hard wicker and wood. The body of the bunny head is very heavy and I believe to be carved wood. The material inside the buggie must be cotton. But it has a stiffer feel. The fabric has some light staining, but there are no tears or holes. The lace is all in one piece with no rips or tears. Measures 24" long from the tip of the nose to the handle. Measures 21 1/2" high from the floor to the top of the handle. The body of the buggie measures 9" wide. The wood handle measures 9" wide. A very nice woman recently reached out to me with this information about the carriage. She said that she found an article about the carriage in Country Living on collecting and ... morethey said the carriage was made from various parts at different times. The wheels late 19th century. And the head first part of 20th century. The wire and wooden handle and the oval straw basket were made in late 20th century. Antique Heywood-Wakefield wicker stroller uncommon style
Item you are bidding on is an antique Heywood-Wakefield wicker child's stroller in good condition. On top of stroller cover is one area where the wicker is coming apart that measures approx. 1" x 3/4" Overall measurements are a follows: 40"H x 46"L x 24"W. This stroller was made more for a bigger child. Because of the way it is constructed. This type of stroller is less common than the baby buggy. It has an adjustable footrest, moveable cover, quick release tires, wooden handle, and an emergency brake. We are not sure of the exact year of manufacture, but Heywood Bros and Wakefield Co. became Heywood Wakefield Co. in 1921, so it would have been made after that. We found this piece at an old farmhouse. And it's in"farm fresh" condition and would look great as a decor piece. This piece was made in the late 1800's or very early 1900's by the Gendron Wheel Company in Toledo, Ohio. The buggy has a solid iron frame that is in good shape, a lined wicker basket with an adjustable cover and iron wheels with hard rubber tires. There is one panel on the end that lays down flat so you can get the baby in and out easily or lay them down flat to change a diaper. This is a great antique piece that would be a fun restoration ... moreproject and would make a great"rustic" decor piece as it sits now! Condition: This piece is antique and used with some wear. We picked this out of an old farmhouse and it's in"farm fresh" condition. So it is definitely not pristine. The iron frame has some pitting and oxidation throughout. The wicker basket has some wear with a some loose spots and some holes on the cover and near the edges. The interior liner has a lot of wear. The wheels have wear but are in good working condition. The stroller rolls easily, but the basket on it is becoming brittle in spots. Overall this is in rustic condition and would be great for restoration or display as is. Has been used for the last 20 years as a doll display in an antique shop. Cast iron frame with brake. Metal and wood push handle. The cardboard bottom piece is deteriorating. Back right side wheels has been repaired& is missing 1 spoke. Adjustable top and the foot board has a spring loaded rod that allows it to be laid flat. Custom handmade cushion and canopy liner. Any doll. Bear or child would look adorable in this genuine antique pull buggy. It is guaranteed very old with original old crackled mustard vanilla paint. Looks so sweet and these original ones are getting hard to find. The wicker is in very good shape with no breaks or repairs. The wheels are all original as is everything else. Has original rubbery or composite tire on the metal. Looks like it may have had a pull rod and it was cut to just have the chair sitting. Great for photography background with toys.
