Vtg '50s Blue Wards Taylor Tot? Baby Stroller/Walker w/Art Deco Fenders
Estate find! Original with wear and surface rust(the tray seems to be the worst) Overall good condition. Wheels roll and in my opinon are in good shape. Needs restoring or display as is. Rubber bumpers seem to be in decent shape in my opinion. Handles and foot rest detach and will be shipped that way. Wood handles are in great shape and seem to be made of oak. I would imagine the seat is. Too, but can't say for sure. Wood beads are faded. Only a couple of screws are missing- easily replaced by your friendly, neighborhood hardware store employee. This has a parking brake. There is a lever located between the two rear wheels which activate rods that fit into holes on the inner rims of the rear wheels to lock movement. Pretty simple! Stylish. Art deco style fenders. Lovely baby blue color. Beads on tray kept the toddler entertained. Paint ... moreon wooden areas shows wear. Label on seat is barely legible but'WARDS' and'Walker' can be made out. This may have been made for Wards by Taylor Tot. It looks like the Taylor Tots I've seen but I cannot say that it is a Taylor Tot for sure. 1910-20s Beige German/English Baby/Doll Art Deco Buggy/Carriage/Pram
This Vintage/Antique buggy is unique because of the ART DECO design. It is probably German. Possibly English 1910-1920s. The height is 28 1/4" to the top of the handle and 25" long. The wheel is about 5 1/2- 6" diameter. I am not sure how the hood fits on but there is intact apparatus. The hub caps look like they are aluminum which increases the value! There is a thin grooved plastic or rubber fitting on the handle. There is a little pocket in the front holding leather straps. This is local pick up Southern CA but if you live out of the area.
