Some of the features include: a foot pedal brake, the carriage itself swivels on the frame, the bassinet rotates approximately 160 degrees, the base platform within the carriage has an attached hinged headrest support for range of movement. I believe all of these features are distinguishable from the photos included for this listing. I have examined this doll carriage thoroughly and have not been able to distinguish any markings, stampings or other discernable aspects relating to the manufacturer. When taking the photos, I attempted to display the carriage showing all pertinent characteristics that a potential buyer may be interested in. I made sure to display the unit with any potential problem areas displayed, such as the tires and bottom frame- showing the most noticable wear areas of the hardened rubber tires. This doll carriage was originally purchased or made for my aunt. The dating was determined from other family members who have discussed this at great length. My mother had always admired this carriage during the period of time in which she was becoming acquainted with my father. The point of origin would be northeastern Ohio. It looks as though that was the way it was made~to me. The thin black tires are worn down in spots, revealing the wire/metal that makes the wheel. The back of the buggy/carriage folds down(shown in picture) the front foot resting raises as well. In pausing to check over the buggy, to ensure the description is to the best of my ability~I have just discovered that the buggy folds up entirely.as if you are folding a stroller. Since I cannot add another picture without deleting one~if you are interested in this item, I will gladly send the picture of it folded to your email. The handle to push the buggy is weathered. It due to it's age naturally has the fading or rubbed down spots of the wood, markings, a couple slight cracks(not open) The wicker on the sides of this item, has only a couple little pieces of wicker missing(in two spots& they are not big) It's a beautiful piece, however keep in mind that it's still fragile. It's no longer crisp fresh wicker/wood. The coloring is fading/weathering throught the whole buggy~naturally giving it, it's antique unique look. These two items are as they were for years~together. Vintage/Antique Wicker Carriage/Buggie~With Vintage Rare Baby Wobbles Doll
For auction is a vintage~anitque? doll buggy/carriage& what I believe to be a rare Baby Wobbles doll. The carriage/buggy is in pretty good condition. It appears to made of wicker. Wood, and a type of metal. It is brown with black frame, and black wheels, with beautiful spiraled supports. The seat itself is still in tact, I just want to mention it is weathering.it is a thin type of wood or wicker and is raising(weathering) It is not broken or cracked, however there is a small gap on one side~which you can see in the one pic(zoom in) and it will be the left side of your view. It looks as though that was the way it was made~to me. The thin black tires are worn down in spots, revealing the wire/metal that makes the wheel. The back of the buggy/carriage folds down(shown in picture) the front foot resting raises as well. In pausing to check ... moreover the buggy, to ensure the description is to the best of my ability~I have just discovered that the buggy folds up entirely.as if you are folding a stroller. Since I cannot add another picture without deleting one~if you are interested in this item, I will gladly send the picture of it folded to your email. The handle to push the buggy is weathered. It due to it's age naturally has the fading or rubbed down spots of the wood, markings, a couple slight cracks(not open) The wicker on the sides of this item, has only a couple little pieces of wicker missing(in two spots& they are not big) It's a beautiful piece, however keep in mind that it's still fragile. It's no longer crisp fresh wicker/wood. The coloring is fading/weathering throught the whole buggy~naturally giving it, it's antique unique look. These two items are as they were for years~together. this buggy is so rare that i looked on EBAY and did not find not a one. This very old antique buggy/carriage was recently pulled out of a 100+ year old barn in rural Colorado. The buggy folds up. Is made of metal and wood, the wheels all have original rubber, looks to be very old.There is a makers name(see pic) but I cannot make out what it says. Beautiful floral upholstery with matching pillow and foot rest. I don't think this is the original, but not for certain. It has a leather seatbelt type strap that hooks onto the wicker, there is also another piece of leather ... morethat goes between the legs and must hook on to it somehow. Antique Vintage Pram Baby Carriage Danish, Gingham design from Denmark-RARE EUC
Great add to any collection or display/use. This is old so it has some inherent issues expected with age. Besides being characteristically flimsy and probably not the safest thing to push a baby around in. It would still be a great add to décor or occasional use: Chrome trim is bent in some places. Hole(at least 2 of them like the one pictured Original mattress stained(needs dry cleaned) Not perfect metal but I cleaned up some with 000 steel wool and the rust comes off for the most part. Top lifts off so it can be carried like a bassinet. Measures around 40" tall. 44" in overall length and 20" wide. Not sure of age but appears to be made in Denmark many years ago. Antique 1902. WITHROW ORIOLE Wicker(Pat. May 20. 1902) The Withrow Mfg. Co. is stamped on both metal side bars. Brass"WITHROW" logo on on bonnet. Stroller. Carrier This is a Beautiful and Rare. 111 year-old piece, especially in this condition and is just out of long-term storage. We purchased this baby stroller years ago, in a Warwick, RI antique shop that was operated by the mom of actor James Woods. It is from the estate of a gentleman who was a carpenter for several Newport, Rhode Island Mansions and he was gifted this unique piece by one of the Newport mansion owners. The carrier is 35.5"H and 14.5" W. It has the foot-rest which is in good shape(see photo) They are usually missing. The cloth sides are quite thing and showing their age. The leather seat and seatback is in pretty good shape for being 111 years old. Even the shade cover I discovered in thhe front compartment appears to have never been used! The original chrome'fenders' are shiny and bright! This easily converts from a buggies to a stroller. ANTIQUE/ VINTAGE BUNNY RABBIT BABY DOLL BUGGIE SO UNIQUE AND QUITE RARE! The wheels are iron as are the bars that go up to the wood handle. The body of the buggie is hard wicker and wood. The body of the bunny head is very heavy and I believe to be carved wood. The material inside the buggie must be cotton. But it has a stiffer feel. The fabric has some light staining, but there are no tears or holes. The lace is all in one piece with no rips or tears. Measures 24" long from the tip of the nose to the handle. Measures 21 1/2" high from the floor to the top of the handle. The body of the buggie measures 9" wide. The wood handle measures 9" wide. A very nice woman recently reached out to me with this information about the carriage. She said that she found an article about the carriage in Country Living on collecting and ... morethey said the carriage was made from various parts at different times. The wheels late 19th century. And the head first part of 20th century. The wire and wooden handle and the oval straw basket were made in late 20th century. RARE Welsh Baby Buggy 10" Metal Wheels& Tires These are what I believe to be a very special set of Welsh wheels. I did quite a bit of research and was unable to find anything similar. These were likely wheels used on high-end buggies for the elite. The tires measure 10" in diameter outside to outside. They are made of a hard durable material much like trike tires. The wheels are metal with metal spokes. The center caps are made of hard plastic with the Welsh logo placed in the center. There is one cover still on the buggy and the other 3 are inside the carriage. I am not a antique collector and I do not know anything about this except what I see. It says 1 31 55 on the underneath. And I do not know if this was the date made,but looks to be in that age. It also has metal handles on inside of buggy, one at each end that move. VERY RARE ANTIQUE WOOD BABY CARRIAGE STROLLER BUGGY PRAM WITH CREST
Up for sale we have a very rare vintage baby carriage. It is estimated to be from the late 1800's or early 1900's. It has metal framing. Metal wheels, with a wooden body, there is a pad where the baby would normally lay. and if you lift it up there are springs underneath, it has a leather hood. This particular carriage carries a unique crest on the side. It also displays a great deal of what looks like hand carving/wood scallops on the sides of the carriage. I asked an antique dealer and he suggested this possibly belonged to a wealthy family. He also explained that the more decorative ones were often special ordered and made personally for certain wealthy families. This is a"rare baby carriage" that looks great for its age. I have had this carriage for many years. and I have yet to find one as exceptionally unique as this ... moreone. Today I am offering a Beautiful Antique Victorian Child's Pram or Stroller. This piece is wonderful-It would look good with almost any decor. It also would be a great place to display your Doll or Teddy Bear collection. It is in good condition-the only issue that I can see- is the wicker on the foot holder. It could be replaced or restored. It would be worth the price. The rest of the wicker is just fine. The fabric on the pram is all original and it does have some wear-but it still is lovely. Having the original fabric really adds to the value. The handle's wood is handcarved and very detailed. Wooden seat and back. Wooden handle. Metal frame. Wheels, etc. Missing one little end cap for one of the wheels. May be missing other parts, not sure. This extends for use and folds up for storage. Wheels approx. 10" Cart measures over 2 ft long and approx. 18" wide at the wheels. Cart seems to work fine. I believe the tires are hard rubber. One of the wheels has a split across the rubber part, but still works fine. Sized for a toddler. Has place for feet to rest. Antique LLOYD Wicker Baby / Doll Carriage / Buggy ~ Very Unique Rare Adjustable
Antique Wicker Baby or Doll Carriage This antique carriage had belonged to my grandmother. I'm not sure if it was hers when she was little or if she had purchased it but she used it to display a large doll. This unique carriage is made of wicker. Metal and leather. It says Lloyd on both of the front hubcaps. The canopy, the back part of the seat and the foot rest are all adjustable. The canopy is hinged and can be positioned either up or down. there are two metal keys on each side that loosen& tighten the canopy) The back of the seat has 4 or 5 different settings- the baby can sit up or lay down. The foot rest can be lowered if the child is sitting and can be raised if the child is laying down so that his/her feet are level. It measures approx. 29" tall(to the top of the canopy/ hood) and approx. 52" from end to end(from ... morethe end of the canopy to the end of the handle) and is approx. 20 1/2" wide(including the metal locks on each side) The handle measures approx. 26" long. The seat measures approx. 10 1/2" wide x 9" deep. The front wheels are approx. 10 1/2" in diameter. The rear wheels are approx. 2 1/2" in diameter. It is in good condition for its age. There is a lighter discolored spot near the top of the canopy. There are some nicks along the edge of the wicker trim, the cloth on the underside of the canopy has some stains and a couple of tears in the fabric, the wheels squeak when rolled, there is a little bit of light rust in spots and it is a little dusty. Beautiful Rare Antique Vintage Carriage Buggy Stroller Rocker
I do not know the make of this beautiful vintage stroller. I took a photo of the emblem. Maybe someone can help me recognize it: This stroller has a beautiful look and turns heads. Gets lots of attention. Don't miss out on a beauty of a converting buggy! Some pictures show collapsing handle and others show the base collapsed. The vinyl is in wonderful shape no tears that I can see, no holes. There is a knob cover that is missing but you can still use the knob. I took a photo of if. All 4 wheels have 1 crack on it.
