The frame is black iron and the hardware is all painted black to match the iron. The cover on the basket is adjustable so you can see into the basket from either end. There is an adjustable panel inside the basket as well. This appears to be all original except it has been painted at some point. The wheels are wood with hard rubber ... morerims. The rubber rims are cracking in spots due to age. There is a locking mechanism for the wheels. Push the pedal between the back wheels down and the front wheels will lock in place. The push bar has a wood grip in the center of the bar. This buggy is in excellent condition for its age. I do not know the maker or exact date it was made. This piece is antique and will not be perfect. This piece measures 48 inches tall. 24 inches side to side and 52¼ inches front to back. It weighs 54 pounds. In the Joel Ellis style, circa 1870s. It measures 33" from the handle to the front wheels, 23 1/2" from the handle down and 30" from the top of the metal hook down. The carriage is wood with a scalloped edge, looks like original paint, the wheels are also wood. There is a curved metal support under the carriage, a portion of one bracket is missing. The metal piece in front of the handle may have held some type of cover that is gone now. The wheels wobble and are intact. The interior of the carriage is partially lined with antique wallpaper. Antique Victorian Wicker Baby Carriage w/ Parasol. Pram Style Buggy. Early 1890 This baby carriage is from the Victorian period and in nice working condition. A wonderful display for photography. Displaying a doll collection. Or pushing your little angel around town. Update: I had a local seamstress sew a beautiful new cover for the parasol with lace. See new photos. And I will include the old pattern with the carriage. But this really made a wonderful addition to this carriage. The material is free floating and not sewn into the umbrella. And this could be done for a tighter fit. But this way the material is not under stress for display. The material looks to all be original and complete with both sides. Bottom and back. The buggy measures 35" inches tall without the adjustable& folding parasol. The length with the footrest to the ... morehandle is 42" inches long and the width is widest part of the back wheels which measures 22 1/4" inches wide. The footrest is free and adjustable back support allows for the seat to lay down for a bed. The carriage rolls freely and easily and is a black steel frame. And the carriage has a foot brake that holds firm. The frame of the parasol is complete without any damage and a unique folding design. A true survivor and a beautiful piece of American history and one sure to get all the right attention. Condition is great with just two minor repairs besides the parasol cover and lace with will need repairing or replacing. The reattaching the wicker side foot panel(or leave it off) And there is a little bow to the one foot rest sides from the side panel being off. The material on the parasol is new(see update above) So the only damage is on the wicker footrest where one of the sides have come off and these two pieces are included in the sale for reattaching. It appears the wicker was painted or maybe this is the original paint. Not sure, it all looks untouched as the paint is concerned. Beautiful. Up for your consideration is a antique-style baby doll carriage for an awesome display in a doll collection room. Or even in a baby’s room. Condition is extremely good for a piece of this nature. I would NOT suggest using this as an actual baby carriage for any child. The wooden inserts inside the wheels are slightly warped. The left front wheel does not rotate very well. However the other three are fine. I really have a hard time finding problems with this item. So I took a lot of photos. This life-size exquisite piece stands approximately 3 feet tall. From bottom of wheel to top of cover, 2 feet in length, not including the wheel and handle extensions and 1 foot in width. It is made of wood. Metal and a canvas or cloth material. The entire basket structure is made of wood in a very decorative filigree style. Connected to a solid, curved ... morewood frame. The hood and basket portions are a very heavy. Black canvas/burlap/cloth material. The handle has two sleigh-like wooden extensions from the carriage. With an 11 ½ inch decorative dowel for pushing. The undercarriage has a small piece of wood all the way across to act as a support and has a metal frame from the carriage down to the wheels. There are four attachments. Each with a curled piece of metal, that helps to cusionn the ride with a springing motion. It has a metal‘X’ at the bottom. To maintain stability The wheels are made of metal. With wood inserted inside the metal as a sort of tire, to keep the spokes in place. Two axles. Spokes and even cotter pins to attach to axle. They measure approximately 12 inches in diameter. The photos show the piece the winning bidder will receive. Due to the size and fragile nature of this item. It is offered for pick-up only. You may arrange for a shipper to carry it to you at your cost. The location of the carriage is Kingman, Arizona. Vintage Victorian style German Baby Doll Carriage Stroller and Bisque Doll
Vintage German Victorian style repro circa 1970's doll carriage/ stroller/ pram- and bisque doll. I do not know the maker or the age of the little bisque doll. Doll and carriage are in good condition. The wheels are made of wood in the middle and cast iron rims. The bed is made of wood with a pretty wicker design, cloth liner, cast iron frame, the canopy is made of cast iron with a cloth liner, it does not push down, may have to oil the hinge, the handle is wooden the rest is cast iron. The stroller is used, the cast iron has some surface rust, the carriage is a little dusty, but other than that it is in solid good condition, the wheels turn good. The stroller measures, 8 3/4" tall, without the canopy, 13 3/4" tall with the canopy, 9 1/2" long, 6" wide.
