It has rolled sides and so me scrolls. It is in as-found condition and could use a bit of restoration or you could leave it just as is and it would make a wonderful display stroller for old bisque dolls or old teddy bears. Could use some glue on the back rest but the wicker itself is in remarkable condition considering how old it is and having n e ver been painted. The cushions are old and filled with excelsior. Obvioiusly. This old buggy is not perfect so please buy it as shown. It is really quite impressive in person and quite large. Rough measurements are about 45" long. 20" wide, 35" to top of handle. The back wheels are a big 22" in diame ter and the front wheels are 14" The wheels roll freely and smoothly. Tractor and etc parts from an estate. The tire diameter of is approx 5 inches. With a width of ¾ inches. The wheel diameter is approx. 3 3/8 inches. There is some surface rust in spots and scrapes in the paint. There are no markings on the tires to indicate make. Here’s the weird part; they have different diameter axle holes with one at.318. This auction is for a two. Antique/ vintage Taylor Tot wheels and tires. These have the original tires. Cast into the tires is“THE GENUINE TAYLOR TOT. The tire diameter is approx. 6 inches with a width of 3/4 inch. The diameter of the rim or wheel is approx. 4 3/8 inches. The wheel is approx. 1 inch wide measured at the axle. The wheels ride on a 5/16 inch axle. As the photos show. These are in nice condition for their age. One issue is there is the remains of some writing with a black marker on one wheel. Both sides(left one in photos) I cleaned this up with lacquer thinner. Yet there is still some remains. I next tried polishing compound with no real luck. Something ore abrasive like rubbing compound might work or a repaint will cover this as it appears that the ink went into the wheels paint. The tires are also nice. Up for your consideration is an antique or vintage rickshaw style baby stroller or buggy. It is about 46" long at its longest. It is from an estate and is a bit rusty. It was a dark blue. It has a small footrest. 2 8.5" solid rubber wheels(have cracks) and 2 small metal wheels. It has a cloth seat that is in poor shape, much stained with age and a bit tattered. Antique 6.5" Baby Stroller Buggy Carriage Pram Wheels - Lot of 2
Selling a pair of 6 1/2 inch buggy wheels for a baby stroller or carriage or old wagon. This pair of wheels has an axle hole of about 1/4" and the axle shaft is about 1.25 inches long. The metal wheel alone is about 5.5 inches in diameter but with the rubber tire. The outside diameter is 6.5 inches. Spokes are real solid and tire rubber is solid also. 2 - Antique Wood Spoked Buggy Wheels
Up for bids are two antique buggy wheels with ten wood spokes. An iron hub and an iron rim with a hard rubber tread as pictured. Both wheels measure 12 1/2" wide across the middle and are made to fit on a 1/2" diameter axle or spindle. The wheels are in good solid condition with no breaks in the wooden spokes which just show wear to the original brown paint leaving the wood underneath exposed and the iron hubs and rims have a nice dark rusted patina. The rubber tread on both wheels have hardened and shrunk with age leaving a gap where the ends were originally cut and bonded together as seen in the pictures. Otherwise both wheels are in very nice condition.
