The seat itself is still in tact, I just want to mention it is weathering.it is a thin type of wood or wicker and is raising(weathering) It is not broken or cracked, however there is a small gap on one side~which you can see in the one pic(zoom in) and it will be the left side of your view. It looks as though that was the way it was made~to me. The thin black tires are worn down in spots, revealing the wire/metal that makes the wheel. The back of the buggy/carriage folds down(shown in picture) the front foot resting raises as well. In pausing to check over the buggy, to ensure the description is to the best of my ability~I have just discovered that the buggy folds up entirely.as if you are folding a stroller. Since I cannot add another picture without deleting one~if you are interested in this item, I will gladly send the picture of it folded to your email. The handle to push the buggy is weathered. It due to it's age naturally has the fading or rubbed down spots of the wood, markings, a couple slight cracks(not open) The wicker on the sides of this item, has only a couple little pieces of wicker missing(in two spots& they are not big) It's a beautiful piece, however keep in mind that it's still fragile. It's no longer crisp fresh wicker/wood. The coloring is fading/weathering throught the whole buggy~naturally giving it, it's antique unique look. These two items are as they were for years~together. For as long as I can remember this very interesting doll, sat in this buggy. These are pieces from my late Grandmother's doll collection. I have decided to not seperate them, they are sold as a pair. Baby's seat and the ring that would surround the baby all appear to be original. The little play shelf may or may not be original. But it does"fit" the appearance of this old toy. The leather straps have been replaced and the springs might be replacements as well. Can't say about the wooden beads, so I won't call them original. You can see that the baby's seat has been repaired with 2 metal corrugated fastener's. Wood putty was used ... morein an attempt to repair the baby ring, but again, this repair distracts very little from the overall appearance of this great item. Manufacturer: Glascock( Age/ Date: I'm estimating it to be early 1900's +/ Material: Wood. Iron/ steel. Markings: None that I could find. Size: The wood base(hoop) is 28" in diameter. The ring that surrounds the baby is ~13-1/2" across. The little shelf with the 8 wooden beads on it is 8" in diameter. The baby's seat is 8" across. The entire piece is just over 14-1/2" tall. The metal circle at the top was covered in rubber. Most of which has broken off or has been covered with tape. The rest of the metal frame is painted blue. It is designed to fold, but we haven't attempted to fold it. The seat is 1/4" thick wood, also painted blue. The 5" rear wheels are stationary. The 2.5" front wheels swivel on casters. Antique Child or Doll Stroller Carriage Buggy Pram Cart in Oak and Metal MINT
You are bidding on a unique carriage. Buggy or cart for a child or doll that is Victorian or Edwardian in style. The carriage is in excellent shape. The carriage is made of wood(oak) and iron. It has two adorable red spoke wheels and an oak handle decorated with inscribed lines. The handle also fold and has a locking system. The seats and cushion are also in red with gold trim. The seat has a leather strap with a picture of a young child and the seat itself has a reversible back so the child can sit facing either way. The cushion on the seat says" E-Z Go" in gold letters. This is a great looking and solidly made carriage or buggy. This carriage appears to have a kind of spring system to cushion the ride. It is in surprisingly good shape considering its age: the wheels and"tire" are good and the wood and leather are in ... morenice shape. The paint is mostly there although there is some crazing. There seems to be one small slat of wood missing on the side. I may be able to supply a properly sized piece of oak(I remember making one a while back. But never used it as the carriage looks fine the way it is- I may be able to find it) I am shipping this taken apart: 6 bolts;two that hold the handle and 4 that hold the seat. It is easy to put back and I will supply instructions. I can ship it together. But the cost would be almost 3 times as much because the box is over sized. If you live in NYC area, you can pick it up or I can deliver for a reasonable fee. For international buyers. There is an additional 4 dollar handling charge.

Antique Victorian Child's Baby Carriage Buggy Stroller Dated 1877& Signed Description This is an exquisite Antique Victorian Baby Stroller with its original umbrella frame and attachment. All parts are original including the reclining seat. The seat upholstery has been professionally recovered without removing the original fabric or stuffing( this was done due to excessive fraying of the original fabric) The feet area tapestry is original and still intact( does show wear) The original umbrella was also recovered over the old fabric due to torn& worn original fabric. The umbrella is adjustable and all the mechanisms are intact and working. The best part of this beautiful stroller is the great condition of the carriage body& frame work and the fact that it still has the manufactures dated plaque attached to the back of the stroller ... moreseat( see photos) Manufactured by the Downing Carriage Co. Erie, PA. Patents range from 1877 to 1883. The front part of the stroller is surrounded by ornate spindles and ornately shaped cane. Which forms a heart shape design along all three sides. The two sides of the stroller also have metal safety rails attached. The outer sides of the stroller seat are oak wood framed with tightly woven wicker panels that are all intact with no holes present. The side pins that hold the seat in an upright position are present. These pins can be removed to lay the baby down. The child’s strap-in leather belt is also present; however. One end is missing a short piece of the strap; both buckles are present. The front two side wheels measure 20" in diameter and are all wood with metal rims. The two back side wheels measure 22" in diameter and are also all wood with metal rims. There is one tin hub cap missing on the left front wheel( decorative only. Does not affect the function of the wheel or stroller- see photo) The push handle is all solid oak. Ornately shaped with metal tin caps on the ends. There is some minor surface rust on areas of the metal frame underneath the stroller

Antique Victorian 1800s Baby Child Stroller Buggy Wheelchair Wheel Chair Folding
A very nice and fully functional antique stroller circa late 1800's/early 1900's made of metal. Wood and wicker. Wheels roll easily and it is foldable/ collapsible. Nice age appropriate wear of the wood and patina to the metal. The handles appear to have been re-varnished in recent years. A piece of wicker threaded through the footrest is broken. There are a couple of small pieces of rubber from the wheels that have come off and two spokes are missing- does not impede or detract from the functionality of the piece. On the left handlebar there is a bracket/ mount that at one time might have held a bell( An excellent display for dolls or by itself. Given its age. It is not a toy nor appropriate for transporting real live children, of course. 37 inches tall. 17 inches wide and about 28 inches deep at full size.

Fancy Parasol does have some stains on the top fringe which is removable. I did not try to clean it became I know well enough to leave things alone I know nothing about. This Parasol is fragile and does have some tears but consider the age. And the fact that few Parasol material survives at all. I consider its condition for age well suited and. We are glad to observe a disposition on the part of the metropolitan magistrates to contest on our behalf the last piece of ground which has been left to the unfortunate pedestrians of the London streets. The fooway is. It appears, still our own, and we are to be protected in its enjoyment. The case of Mr. George Peachey, who was sujmmoend the other day before Mr. Knox at Marlborough-street, will, we trust, be a sufficient warning to those who venture to encroach upon our rights in this respect. Mr. Hetton, of Twickenham, the complainant in the case in question, said that on the 25th of July, he was walking through Rathbone-place with two friends when the defendant drove a perambulator against him. On being remonstrated with, the defendant told him he ought to get out of the way. The complainant replied that if the defendant ran against him ... morehe should charge him with assault. The defendant thereupon caleld him a blackguard, used the most abusive language to him and his friends, and a second and third time ran the perambulator purposely against him. The defendant, refusing to give his name and address, witness gave him into custody. The perambulator was a large one, and took up nearly the whole of the pavement. The case being clearly proved against the defendant, Mr. Knox observed that it was monstrous to take up the pavement with these perambulators, some of which were of large dimensions. The pavement was for passengers, not for vehicles of this kind. He refused to look closely into the charges and counter-charges of rough language; the evidence had made it clear that the defendant was pushing a perambulator on the pavement, where he had no business, and that he drove it against the complainant. He would have to pay a fine of 20s. and costs. We hail this decision with much satisfaction; for if, after the cabmen have driven us from the roadway, the pavement is to be made impassable by the"furious diving" of large perambulators, we may as well give up the attempt to traverse the streets at all. Up for auction is an old antique child's wooden stroller. It is very sturdy and seems to be all intact. It has all the wheels and rolls good. It looks like it got some good use back in the day. The whole seat board from front to back measures 18 inches. Inside the area where you sit measures 12 inches. Height from floor to top of handle bars is 15 inches. Rare Antique Child's Victorian Style Wood/Metal Pull Cart Buggy Stroller Wheelchair! From an estate. Have no idea how old this is. Looks to be stamped on bottom 1820.not sure about that. Wooden seat and back. Wooden handle. Metal frame. Wheels, etc. Missing one little end cap for one of the wheels. May be missing other parts, not sure. This extends for use and folds up for storage. Wheels approx. 10" Cart measures over 2 ft long and approx. 18" wide at the wheels. Cart seems to work fine. I believe the tires are hard rubber. One of the wheels has a split across the rubber part, but still works fine. Sized for a toddler. Has place for feet to rest. This antique wicker carriage is in good condition but certainly shows age and wear. The handle has been wrapped and the cane is probably separated underneath because it bends there. I have not unwrapped it to examine. The leather is now cracked and hard. The wheels work well.

Carriage body very good, light wear. Some wear to canopy, inside light wear. Chrome needs shined up has light surface rust. Wheels original slight to little wear white rubber type on outside. Frame sturdy and very good condition. Has a brake for secure stop. About 42" tall to top of canopy. 35" tall to push bar total length 36" long, with handle about 43" long. Inside about 33" long, width outer edge left side of handle to right side of handle about 20" wide. Inside boards show discoloration due to age.
