Vintage/Antique Wicker Carriage/Buggie~With Vintage Rare Baby Wobbles Doll
For auction is a vintage~anitque? doll buggy/carriage& what I believe to be a rare Baby Wobbles doll. The carriage/buggy is in pretty good condition. It appears to made of wicker. Wood, and a type of metal. It is brown with black frame, and black wheels, with beautiful spiraled supports. The seat itself is still in tact, I just want to mention it is weathering.it is a thin type of wood or wicker and is raising(weathering) It is not broken or cracked, however there is a small gap on one side~which you can see in the one pic(zoom in) and it will be the left side of your view. It looks as though that was the way it was made~to me. The thin black tires are worn down in spots, revealing the wire/metal that makes the wheel. The back of the buggy/carriage folds down(shown in picture) the front foot resting raises as well. It's no longer crisp fresh wicker/wood. The coloring is fading/weathering throught the whole buggy~naturally giving it, it's antique unique look. These two items are as they were for years~together. Antique Victorian wicker doll baby buggy or pram. The buggy is in very good condition. The wicker is intact along with the pie shaped celluloid windows on each side of the buggy. It measures 29 inches long, 13 1/2 inches wide and 30 inches tall. The inside of the buggy measures 9 inches wide and 20 1/2 inches long. The brake mechanism is in working order. It has a steel frame, steel springs, a wooden handle, and steel foot brake. Also a reclining back. The rubber on the wheels has oxidized and is very hard. The rubber on one of wheel has broken off. Antique Wicker Baby Carriage/Buggy-The National Co.
Up for sale is our family's Antique Wicker Baby Carriage/Buggy from The National company in Perrysburg. Ohio. This was purchased for my Grandfather, an only child and then 20 years later used for his daughters, then my mother used it for me. It has since been stored indoors for over 60 years. I have used it as a beautiful decoration with artificial flowers during the year and filled with fake wrapped presents at Christmas time. I remember my mother giving a baby shower for a friend and having me push the buggy in filled with wrapped presents. All the parts work on this buggy, and there is a little hidden compartment in the bottom that is covered with a fold back cloth top for keeping valuables, diapers, etc. The wooden wheels are beautiful. This is in its original condition. It measures approximately: 45-1/2 in. high with the bonnet in ... morean upright position, the entire length is approximately 47-1/2 in. long with the bonnet down, and 46 in. with the bonnet up. The wicker body only withe the bonnet down is approximately 33-1/2 in. long. The Bonnet is 21-1/2 in wide. The wood wheels are 14-1/4 in. across. This is pick up only, though I do travel a little so possibly an arrangement can be made for delivery or to meet part way. I am selling this only because I have downsized and neither of my two children likes or wants this-they are not into antiques. This would look so gorgeous on a large porch with flowers in it, or as it was meant to be used for a baby. Please be aware that I do not accept returns. There is no reserve price on this. For sale I have an 1800s Basinet Wooden Baby Carriage or Stroller. The baby stroller is in good condition with only light signs of aging and wear. Very detailed wood. Neat steel wheels. Has a little umbrella for the baby. A very nice antique piece. It measures about 53 x 21 x 40 inches. Of course it is too delicate and bulky for me to ship so I am offering it for local pickup only. This very old antique buggy/carriage was recently pulled out of a 100+ year old barn in rural Colorado. The buggy folds up. Is made of metal and wood, the wheels all have original rubber, looks to be very old.There is a makers name(see pic) but I cannot make out what it says. This exceptional carriage is in fairly good condition and has a Wrought Iron Frame. It rolls freely on its Hand Wrought Iron Wheels with Hand Turned Wood Spokes. Selling this very cool Antique baby carriage pram. It is in very good shape for the age! It dates from 1920's-40's or so. It has a coat of arms with griffins and crown on both sides. It has the blue stripe and stars. There is only some very light oxidation in a few spots. It is hardly noticeable. With a good cleaning this carriage will look excellent! There is also a parasol holder with a screw to hold it in place. Dimensions are about 40" long for the carriage with the foot rest extended and 36” with the foot rest folded back x 19" wide carriage and 24” wheel to wheel width x 36-3/4" tall(including handle) All four wheels have a diameter is 14” It weighs about 30 pounds. This buggy is in original condition with the exception of the newer upholstered side cushions. Those cushions need some attention as they are a bit loose fitting. The wicker is quite good with only a few broken reeds in the woven bottom seat along with some minor surface soiling. A slight warp to the foot rest can be seen in the photo above. Please check all photos carefully. And let me know if you want more. There is also surface oxidation and rust on the metal parts and paint loss on the handle. The top has two handles that allow the top to be lowered to allow the sun to shine in. The inside is padded. But does show vintage signs of age. There are no rips or tears in the black canvas, but there was an original repair done in one spot. The steel frame and wheels shows signs of rust and, but it still rolls perfectly. there is a slight bend to one of the handles and there is a small split below the center rail. This is a very cool vintage toy baby stroller made out of wood with an iron frame I believe. The handle is turned wood and the wooden bed is painted brown and has a gold floral accent on each side. It is in great condition for the age but does have plenty of wear particularly to the paint and wheels. The back board does have a split in it but isn't separated and not really a big deal since you won't be pushing a real baby in it! It does not have a cover any longer but does have the holes that would hold one and it would be an easy project to construct a sun cover for the toy. VINTAGE THAYER BABY DOLL CARRIAGE– MODEL 974. MID 40s– MID 50s This item is a vintage baby carriage, which dates between 1945-1955. I can’t seem to find an exact date. Others date it in the forties, so who am I to argue! The carriage is in overall very good condition. As would be expected of a piece that is 60+ years old, there are good and bad conditional issues. I detail below, and with the pictures. I didn’t find any of these carriages listed for sale, so I imagine there aren’t many around. Also, there is a listing for just the hubcaps for $159.95. WOW! The carriage measures 31” tall x 18 ½” wide(hubcap to hubcap) The inside dimensions of the baby carrier is 10 ½” x 23 ½” x 11” deep. The wheels/tires are 8½” diameter. THE GOOD 1) Baby carrier is in excellent overall condition. The inside fabric, while discolored, has ... moreno rips or tears whatsoever. The outside is also close to excellent. It loses a little for a rip along the top edge(pictured) that I glued back down. Seems minor to me now. 2) The metal frame is quite nice. Yes, there is some rusting, but it appears to be primarily surface rust that could be cleaned up. The frame& handle are both intact and work flawlessly. The carriage collapses nicely. 3) The tires are all in very good condition, with only surface dirt to contends with. There are no big gouges, or missing pieces. 4) Two are the hub caps are in very good condition, with some rusting and the red of the Thayer name still present, but faded. 5) Name plate is in excellent condition THE BAD 1) The canopy is in fair to good condition. As the pictures show, the vinyl has cracked and broken in spots, particularly where it folds. I cleaned it and lubricated it some and it is working pretty well. It will need to be restored or replaced. 2) Two of the hubcaps are in only fair to good condition. I cleaned them up and they look better. This carriage is very nice and apparently pretty scarce. RARE Vintage Cadillac Prototype Blue Pram Baby Doll Carriage Stroller 40's-50's!
RARE Vintage Cadillac Prototype Baby Buggy/Carriage/Pram/Stroller from late 40's-early 50's. This is a rare one. Folks. Can't find another one eBay or on the internet anywhere. Had this appraised. And all parts appear to be original and in excellent condition for its age. Original wheels. Springs, body, handle, shade, paint, brake, etc. The appraiser was able to tell me that car companies such as Cadillac and Mercedes made prototype baby carriages during this time period. But due to copywright infringement laws, the logo could not be made"exactly" the same so you will see it is slightly different from the traditional Cadillac logo. I cannot find another example of this on the internet to compare it to. There are no rips or tears in the fabric shade; and the body appears to be made of tin/metal with wood trim under the ... morechrome at the top. Some small spots of rust on the chrome as shown in the pictures that look like they can be removed and some natural yellowing of the wheels and handle. There is a smudge of the paint on one side; shown in the picture. The inside of the carriage is white and clean throughout. The springs are still very bouncy. No obvious dents or major dings. In excellent condition for its age. This would make a classy addition to your doll collection or to add some vintage"pizazz" to a room. See pics for details. If you have any questions. Vintage Baby Pram Stroller Carriage. Navy Blue & Cream. Mid-Century 1960's.
Travel back in time with this vintage baby pram. It is probably 50 years old but still in good working order. It is collapsible and will fit in a car trunk(we drive a 1994 Ford Taurus and it fits in our trunk) It collapses down to about 39" long. 23" wide, and 20" high. We have one just like it(but green) and have gotten so many compliments and comments on it! People LOVE these old prams/carriages. There are a couple of small tears in the vinyl, particularly in the white/cream hood(see photo) but it is really in very good condition for the age. The shock absorbers are quite effective. Simply amazing Estate Sale find. It is wicker and canvas and wood and steel wheels. The condition is very very good. It is dirty and needs a good cleaning. It has clearly been in a barn for a long time. I am not going to clean it. I'll leave it to the new owners. There are a couple of flaws. One piece of wicker is broken but still present and the'handlebar' has been chewed on, on one end. The canvas top is solid and the folding mechanism works. I did buy it at an estate sale and it had an old faded hand written tag on it for $375. Another one of my estate sale Relics. The Buggy is estate fresh and needs a detailed Clening. I have done nothing to clean it. I leave the cleaning to the collectors. The opening measures approx 13 x 28. There is some slight surface rust on the chrome handle which should clean up nicely with a little chrome polish. The Iron has surface rust.And could easily be sanded and re-painted. The Vinyl is grey with a blue design,and is in good condition. There is a small tare on the top bonnet where the first rib is,and a few small tares on the inside cradle. The tares on the inside cradle are on the crumb cover,and not the actual cradle itself. There is a cover that snaps over the opening allowing for only the baby's head to be seen. I wouldn't feel comfortable putting my baby in the stroller,but it would make a great doll stroller.
