This is a very cool vintage toy baby stroller made out of wood with an iron frame I believe. The handle is turned wood and the wooden bed is painted brown and has a gold floral accent on each side. It is in great condition for the age but does have plenty of wear particularly to the paint and wheels. The back board does have a split in it but isn't separated and not really a big deal since you won't be pushing a real baby in it! It does not have a cover any longer but does have the holes that would hold one and it would be an easy project to construct a sun cover for the toy. This piece would make a great display piece in a vintage decor or for a doll collector. It stands 26 inches tall. 27 inches long and 10 inches wide. It has clearly been in a barn for a long time. I am not going to clean it. I'll leave it to the new owners. There are a couple of flaws. One piece of wicker is broken but still present and the'handlebar' has been chewed on, on one end. The canvas top is solid and the folding mechanism works. I did buy it at an estate sale and it had an old faded hand written tag on it for $375. Very Vintage metal and wood Taylor Tot toddler stroller. Marked on the bottom of the seat as Model P-45. Which dates this to approximately late 1940s or early 1950s. Seems to be all original with the exception of a wing nut and bolt on the mid-section of the handle. Also one of the bumper nuts/bolts looks to have been replaced at some point. Does not look to have been restored at all and there is wear to the bumpers(the rubber has hardened and cracked over time) and also general overall wear, commensurate with age and use. The wood seat appears to have the original paint and the wood is dry and has visible line cracks. Measures approximately 26" long from bumper to bumper. And 18" across at the rear wheels(also from bumper to bumper) The push handle stands approximately 34" off of the ground. One of the large wheels is missing a spoke, has a loose one, and has a loose one with a crack in the end of the wood. We can see the end of the spoke, the rim side on the loose one, has a pin in the top of the wood that appears to have been pinned through the rim. 11 1/2" diameter with the hub having a 1/2" diameter center hole. Hub is 2 3/8" in depth. Paint on the wooden hubs and spokes is original and sort of a yellowish cream with one side being accented with red striping. Rubber on the tires is good with one having about a 3/16" separation between the rubber joint. Rims are steel. They're pretty nice. Antique Vintage Wooden Baby Walker, steel wheels, wood tray, stroller, NICE 1940
WELCOME TO MY AUCTION For sale today is a real neat antique or vintage wooden baby walker. This old walker will fold down for transporting. It has a circular wooden top and wooden tray and a metal foot rest. The ring is made of hard wood. The seat is of heavy cloth and still in good shape, the seat is threaded onto a heavy wire ring mounted just under the top wooden ring. The ring is mounted in three places and the cloth is a little frayed where it was cut and sewed for the connecting. The tray is attached to the wooden ring. Has a little rabbit decal, the tray has some damage to the surface, there is a picture of the tray included. The frame measures 18”X23” and will fold down flat to about 4” Has steel wheels on it. Needs one lower arm rivet replaced, comes off sometimes when folding the walker. I see no name on this nice walker. It is ... morein good shape for the years. What a great find! We came across this fabulous early baby doll buggy with an ornate wooden handle. Sun shade canopy functions perfectly and flips from front to back easily. Wheels are intact and roll along as they should. The frame is metal. There is some paint wear on the handle- see pictures 8& 9. Let's talk about the wicker. Overall the wicker is in very good condition. There ARE spots where the wicker has torn.see pictures 6& 7. There are some loose ends also in the sun shade canopy.see last photo. Lastly it appears as if at some point in time a craftsman has made some mends as we notice a color differential in some parts of the buggy. Please review pictures carefully and let us know if you need more! In our opinion the wicker variances are minor and don't detract much at all from the overall presentation of this terrific ... morepiece. Measurements: Overall length is 26 1/2 inches-measured from handle to nose of carriage. Height is 22 inches from ground to handle. Bed(interior wooden lie down area) is 13" long.will fit dolls up to this length comfortably. The overall body integrity of this buggy is excellent! This is an example of a period carriage from the late 1800's or early 1900's. We can guarantee you this is an original manufacture for the time. The Genuine Taylor Tot Antique Vtg. Metal/Wood Baby Stroller - Restoration/Parts
I have here another rare find! It’s The Genuine Taylor Tot Stroller made by the Frank F. Taylor Company in Ohio. The wheels are signed) I don’t know what year this model is. But it looks to be more complete than many I’ve seen. It does have the metal foot tray which I know is hard to find these days. It also came with some sort of collapsible canopy which I’ve not seen before. I’m assuming it goes with this stroller– but I haven’t figured out how to attach it. So it’s possible something is missing(parts or simply know-how) that would make attaching it feasible. The zipper on the canopy does work. Though. The stroller also has all 4 wheels and they function just fine. And it has its original wood seat. Please note the fabric is just about worn to a frazzle. I had more pictures– but I couldn’t include them all because I exceeded the maximum# ... moreallowed. But there are rips and tears in it. The staples have pulled out in several places, and, of course, it’s very faded. The chrome is surprisingly in pretty good shape. The stroller does fold up to an extent. I tried to show this in my pictures. But I don’t know if it folds up anymore than you see pictured– or if I just didn’t know what I was doing. That technique might take some practice. J This would certainly be a fantastic piece to restore or to use for parts in your other restorations. You choose. Vinyl hood has some tears in some areas but overall condition is quite good. Still has flat vinyl cover that attaches to the buggy. In the 1950s. Thayer was one of the best-known makers of baby carriages and strollers in the eastern USA, offering, too, a full line of doll buggies made to look just like the“real” thing. Great vintage miniature baby buggy. Both the carriage itself and the wheels are make of wood. Axles and handle are metal. It is in great working condition. There are no chips or cracks in the wood.just some paint wear to the carriage as seen in the photos. It measures 3-1/2" high. 3-1/2" long(just the buggy) 4-1/2" including the handle. Vintage 1952 TAYLOR TOT BABY STROLLER/WALKER-Wood, Steel & Rubber-P45

It works pretty well. It was kinda dirty but I gave it a shower. I scrubbed it and then dried it and blew it with a fan for over an hour. I then polished the wood and the metal and the rubber wheels with a wood preservative. And I oiled the wheels. It looks a lot nicer than it did 5 hours ago. I usually hold onto things for a few months before I list them but space is a little limited so on it goes. Its 43" long x 34" tall x 16" wide. Works well. Metal(steel) body, wooden handle and seat and beads(for the baby) Rubber wheels. It works as a walker too when you easily take the handle and the under tray off.
