It looks as though that was the way it was made~to me. The thin black tires are worn down in spots, revealing the wire/metal that makes the wheel. The back of the buggy/carriage folds down(shown in picture) the front foot resting raises as well. In pausing to check over the buggy, to ensure the description is to the best of my ability~I have just discovered that the buggy folds up entirely.as if you are folding a stroller. Since I cannot add another picture without deleting one~if you are interested in this item, I will gladly send the picture of it folded to your email. The handle to push the buggy is weathered. It due to it's age naturally has the fading or rubbed down spots of the wood, markings, a couple slight cracks(not open) The wicker on the sides of this item, has only a couple little pieces of wicker missing(in two spots& they are not big) It's a beautiful piece, however keep in mind that it's still fragile. It has rolled sides and so me scrolls. It is in as-found condition and could use a bit of restoration or you could leave it just as is and it would make a wonderful display stroller for old bisque dolls or old teddy bears. Could use some glue on the back rest but the wicker itself is in remarkable condition considering how old it is and having n e ver been painted. The cushions are old and filled with excelsior. Obvioiusly. This old buggy is not perfect so please buy it as shown. It is really quite impressive in person and quite large. Rough measurements are about 45" long. 20" wide, 35" to top of handle. The back wheels are a big 22" in diame ter and the front wheels are 14" The wheels roll freely and smoothly. I THINK this is a reproduction really beautiful wicker baby buggy on metal frame. Rubber rimmed metal wheels. Buggy is in excellent. The buggy is white with beige trim. Some of the screws and bolts are been replaced. It is 33" x 13" x 30" up at the handle. 22 1/2 up to top of buggy. It has twine/strings that hold up the top that hook to little knobs on the top of the basket part of the buggy. It has a little pillow that comes with it but no other bedding. Thank you for looking. Vintage Wicker Pram Welcome! This pram is at least 40 years old. The owner received it for her child that long ago and said it was old then so perhaps it is antique. The make is unknown as it is unmarked. The removable red and blue padded seat cover that comes with it has the German label"die Storchenmuhle" on it. The owner says it is as old as the pram is. All components on the pram work well-no parts are missing from it. No splints are in the wicker. It operates very well mechanically. Glides and turns smoothly, etc. It is very sturdy and was well made and will collapse for easy storage. It has a very faint smell of smoke to it from having been stored in a smoker's home; otherwise it is very clean. Since I have acquired it, I have noticed much of the odor has dissipated. Measuring 44" long, 36" high and 18" wide, condition is excellent considering the age, with normal age patina on the metal, and typical aging of the rubber on the wheels. The wicker appears to be in remarkably wonderful shape with no holes or other visible issues. There are remnants of a sticker on the bottom which may have identified the manufacturer; however nothing really remains of any use in identifying the maker. Please e-mail any questions. Old Wicker Doll Stroller Wood Metal Great for Photography Victorian
Any doll. Bear or child would look adorable in this genuine antique pull buggy. It is guaranteed very old with original old crackled mustard vanilla paint. Looks so sweet and these original ones are getting hard to find. The wicker is in very good shape with no breaks or repairs. The wheels are all original as is everything else. Has original rubbery or composite tire on the metal. Looks like it may have had a pull rod and it was cut to just have the chair sitting. Great for photography background with toys. It could be replaced or restored. It would be worth the price. The rest of the wicker is just fine. The fabric on the pram is all original and it does have some wear-but it still is lovely. There is a canopy but it looks too large for this stroller. But it is an original stroller canopy with all the original period hardware. Unless the wood has swelled out it's not for this stroller but comes with it in this auction just in case! Appears to be original paint. 65% of original factory sticker still there. Wicker has come unravelled. The length is there to be re-rushed. the wheels will need a little work, But they are all there and attached with the original caps.

Welcome- This as an antique Wicker Baby Doll Buggy Stroller- Metal Frame- Half Circle Ports. In very good condition. It has a i ron frame with a wooden handle. The only defect that I would note is on back left bottom. The wicker braid is coming apart, not bad at all. Also, one wheel spoke was replaced. It does roll fairly easily.
