The seat itself is still in tact, I just want to mention it is weathering.it is a thin type of wood or wicker and is raising(weathering) It is not broken or cracked, however there is a small gap on one side~which you can see in the one pic(zoom in) and it will be the left side of your view. It looks as though that was the way it was made~to me. The thin black tires are worn down in spots, revealing the wire/metal that makes the wheel. The back of the buggy/carriage folds down(shown in picture) the front foot resting raises as well. In pausing to check over the buggy, to ensure the description is to the best of my ability~I have just discovered that the buggy folds up entirely.as if you are folding a stroller. Since I cannot add another picture without deleting one~if you are interested in this item, I will gladly send the picture of it folded to your email. The handle to push the buggy is weathered. It due to it's age naturally has the fading or rubbed down spots of the wood, markings, a couple slight cracks(not open) The wicker on the sides of this item, has only a couple little pieces of wicker missing(in two spots& they are not big) It's a beautiful piece, however keep in mind that it's still fragile. It's no longer crisp fresh wicker/wood. The coloring is fading/weathering throught the whole buggy~naturally giving it, it's antique unique look. These two items are as they were for years~together. I couldnt believe that something this old could have been kep in such beautiful condition all these years. It looks as though it was lovingly covered and stored for over 50 years. Even the shade cover I discovered in thhe front compartment appears to have never been used! The original chrome'fenders' are shiny and bright! This easily converts from a buggies to a stroller. The label reads Europe Import Co. Detroit. My asking price reflects the fine original condition but of course I'm always open to a good offer so don't be shy! I would equate this buggie to a low milage garaged 50's automoblie discovered after years of hibernation. It measures roughly 35"L x 34"T x 19" W. This is not a doll stroller. I believe all of these features are distinguishable from the photos included for this listing. I have examined this doll carriage thoroughly and have not been able to distinguish any markings, stampings or other discernable aspects relating to the manufacturer. When taking the photos, I attempted to display the carriage showing all pertinent characteristics that a potential buyer may be interested in. I made sure to display the unit with any potential problem areas displayed, such as the tires and bottom frame- showing the most noticable wear areas of the hardened rubber tires. ANTIQUE WICKER TODDLER BABY CARRIAGE PRAM
Here we have a nice antique toddler stroller or baby pram. I believe it is from the early 1900's but I am not sure since I could not find any makers mark or date anywhere. The wheels are in great condition and it rolls great. There doesn't seem to be any major cracks in the wicker and all the features work. It has an adjustable canopy and back. Also there is a foot break on it. We have tested it out with a 3 year old and it worked great. This is a great conversation piece or would be wonderful for a doll collector or photographer. This carriage is 23" tall at the handlebars and total length is 25" The actual carriage is 19" long. The big wheel is 12 1/4" tall and the small wheel is 8" There is some wicker damage at the arms and some of the pieces are here. This is from the 1890's. I am asking $125.00 as appraised. Vintage 1920s Beige Wicker Baby/Doll Carriage/Buggy/Stroller/Pram
This charming Buggy is unique because of the craftsmanship and attention to detail in the wicker. Iron wheels, pretty cotton lining and even a little hubcap. This carriage is 26" tall to the top of the hood. The carriage is 19" long, 32" long total. The wheels are 7 1/2 inches diameter and have a'G' on them. There is some damage to the top hood and the plastic windows are cracked. The grip of the handlebars is wrapped in tape but it almost appears to be made this way. I have several Carriages and can show you all of them and will accept the lower price for the larger purchase. This is local pick up from Orange County. California. This listing is for a beautiful Antique Victorian Wicker B aby C arriage/ Pram. It was manufactured by the Heywood Brothers.The model is known as"The Heywood" it has a plack on the floor of the carriage) Its measurem ents are: 54"L from tip to tip. 24" W and 43"H from ground to its highest poin t. The carriage is in great condition. It will need some minor restoration, the floor cushion is missing, but it is still very displayable. Fortunately. All the wicker is great condition and there is no visible damage to it. The umbrella is missing, the attaching rod lock is still in place. The padding is a little faded. The burgundy pink color is in good condition, no tears, or rips or stains, just need a carriage floor cushion, one could be made easily. It is approximately from the 19 00's- 1910 Era so it is very old ... morebut it rolls so smooth and easy. It has wonderful shocks. This would be a great. For a nursery or maternity shop, it truely would make a lovely addition to your decor. The Heywood brand was considered the Cadillac of carriages and this one is a great example.
