The carriage/buggy is in pretty good condition. ... moreIt appears to made of wicker. Wood, and a type of metal. It is brown with black frame, and black wheels, with beautiful spiraled supports. The seat itself is still in tact, I just want to mention it is weathering.it is a thin type of wood or wicker and is raising(weathering) It is not broken or cracked, however there is a small gap on one side~which you can see in the one pic(zoom in) and it will be the left side of your view. It looks as though that was the way it was made~to me. The thin black tires are worn down in spots, revealing the wire/metal that makes the wheel. The back of the buggy/carriage folds down(shown in picture) the front foot resting raises as well. In pausing to check over the buggy, to ensure the description is to the best of my ability~I have just discovered that the buggy folds up entirely.as if you are folding a stroller. Since I cannot add another picture without deleting one~if you are interested in this item, I will gladly send the picture of it folded to your email. The handle to push the buggy is weathered. It due to it's age naturally has the fading or rubbed down spots of the wood, markings, a couple slight cracks(not open) The wicker on the sides of this item, has only a couple little pieces of wicker missing(in two spots& they are not big) It's a beautiful piece, however keep in mind that it's still fragile. It's no longer crisp fresh wicker/wood. The coloring is fading/weathering throught the whole buggy~naturally giving it, it's antique unique look. These two items are as they were for years~together. High end antique collector that fell in love with items from the 1800's and this was one of her prize poscessions. Would be perfect to display an antique baby doll in! Inside seat measures 9 inches across and 8 inches deep. Has a layer of black. Worn leather lined. Wicker measures about 13 inches across from side to side top and about 11 inches deep. 13 inches tall from the floor to the center back of the wicker top. Wheels are about 8 inches round with the little back wheels to help prevent tipping are 1.5 inches round Pull handle extends about 22 inches long when it is placed to be straight. Fold back into the seat at about 16 inches for the baby to hold. I cannot find any types of"maker markings" No chips with some edge rubbings here and there. Wicker shows some pull with a few strips popped out a bit. Little pillow seat included. Not sure if it is an original but it sure matches the style with little tastles along the bottom in an off white, cream color showing a few age spots. This darling items deserves a loving home! Vintage 6.5" Boyds Bears & 12" Wicker Wood Pram Baby Doll Stroller Carriage Set
I am listing some items from my aunts estate. I have very little knowledge of them so I will do the best I can with photos and descriptions. Most of the items were stored and have very little or no signs of wear. They come from a smoke free home. I removed this set from the packaging box to take the photos that I needed to take for this auction. From what I can tell this is a vintage pram doll stroller made of wood and iron. It looks like it had once had beading and satin added. The wood on the doll carriage has no cracks. Handle is firm. There is no names on either bear or carriage. Carriage wooden and wicker with rolling wheels. It is 12" high x 11" long. The posable Bear is 6.5" long. Looks like a Boyds Bears. But there is no clothing or tags, so I can't guarantee. There are no tags.The wicker. is in great condition and all the mechanical pieces work good brakes, bed recliner, etc. There is a neat hidden compartment under the mattress on the inside of the carriage and the sliding door on it looks to be original as well. The handle is wooden and the wheels are all in tact and move freely there is no rush sorry to say it's missing the hood but otherwise everything is in great working condition nice condition for it's age. The basket is wicker on the sides with a thin wood floor and back. It has a metal edge around the top. The wicker hood has a metal frame around it. The carriage is quite well made and unmarked. Am listing this item for the Owner of the Antique Center. It measures approx. 36 1/2" tall by 43 1/2" long by 22" wide. The seat is 13" by 14" wide. The back of the seat is 15 1/4" high by 12" wide. The neat thing is that although the fabric has been nicely redone. It comes with a box where the original fabric, for both the carriage and the parasol, was stored in, to leave no doubt of its age. This item will be hard to pack and ship. So it will definitely have to be either picked up at Mount Vernon Antique Center here in Alexandria, or it will have to go via freight, we recommend TSC Moving, but keep in mind they can take from 2-8 weeks to deliver, depending on location and driver's schedule. The stroller is made of wicker with a metal frame. Wheels and attachments. There is some general wear from use. The wicker is in good shape and the metal shows no signs of having been bent. Antique LLOYD Wicker Baby / Doll Carriage / Buggy ~ Very Unique Rare Adjustable
Antique Wicker Baby or Doll Carriage This antique carriage had belonged to my grandmother. I'm not sure if it was hers when she was little or if she had purchased it but she used it to display a large doll. This unique carriage is made of wicker. Metal and leather. It says Lloyd on both of the front hubcaps. The canopy, the back part of the seat and the foot rest are all adjustable. The canopy is hinged and can be positioned either up or down. there are two metal keys on each side that loosen& tighten the canopy) The back of the seat has 4 or 5 different settings- the baby can sit up or lay down. The foot rest can be lowered if the child is sitting and can be raised if the child is laying down so that his/her feet are level. It measures approx. 29" tall(to the top of the canopy/ hood) and approx. 52" from end to end(from ... morethe end of the canopy to the end of the handle) and is approx. 20 1/2" wide(including the metal locks on each side) The handle measures approx. 26" long. The seat measures approx. 10 1/2" wide x 9" deep. The front wheels are approx. 10 1/2" in diameter. The rear wheels are approx. 2 1/2" in diameter. It is in good condition for its age. There is a lighter discolored spot near the top of the canopy. There are some nicks along the edge of the wicker trim, the cloth on the underside of the canopy has some stains and a couple of tears in the fabric, the wheels squeak when rolled, there is a little bit of light rust in spots and it is a little dusty. The foot rest is made of leather and is still pretty flexible. Please see photos. I took several but could only post 12 so if you would like to see more. Please email me. This carriage is 23" tall at the handlebars and total length is 25" The actual carriage is 19" long. The big wheel is 12 1/4" tall and the small wheel is 8" There is some wicker damage at the arms and some of the pieces are here. This is from the 1890's. I am asking $125.00 as appraised. Vintage 1920s Beige Wicker Baby/Doll Carriage/Buggy/Stroller/Pram
This charming Buggy is unique because of the craftsmanship and attention to detail in the wicker. Iron wheels, pretty cotton lining and even a little hubcap. This carriage is 26" tall to the top of the hood. The carriage is 19" long, 32" long total. The wheels are 7 1/2 inches diameter and have a'G' on them. There is some damage to the top hood and the plastic windows are cracked. The grip of the handlebars is wrapped in tape but it almost appears to be made this way. I have several Carriages and can show you all of them and will accept the lower price for the larger purchase. This is local pick up from Orange County. California. Hand Made Antique Distressed Baby Doll Carriage: Iron, Wicker, Wood and Cloth
Good Day! Today. I have a Hand Made Antique Distressed Baby Doll Carriage. This piece was made to resemble an authentic Victorian style pram, using iron, wicker, wood, and cloth, along with techniques to create a vintage"aged" look! The basket measures 14" long by 7" wide by 6" deep. Black cloth and wicker accents adorn the outer basket. The wood wheels are spoked and lined with iron. The wheels do turn! The wheels are mounted to the carriage by bent iron. The stroller handle, mounted with iron also, has a fancy wood turning. The iron framed bonnet folds up or down. It consists of black cloth that has gotten quite delicate from the aging technique and age itself. Its seams look to have been glued to its frame in spots, but looks nice! Antique Wicker Baby Carriage Buggy Doll 30's 40's - Vintage Old Stroller
This was my grandmothers from the 30's. It has been in their home for years and is in great condition considering the age. The wicker shows very well. Only one spot of scratches as shown. Rubber and hubcaps are still on all of the wheels. It does have some surface rust as expected. One of the plastic windows has cracked and is broken out. This would make a great decorator piece.
