Up for bid is this vintage TAYLOR-TOT Baby Doll Stroller. Manufactured in the 1960's by the Frank F. Taylor Company of Haywood. Ohio and Cincinnati, Ohio. This wonderful Stroller is completely collapsable making it handy for easy storage in your trunk so you can take it along with wherever you go. The handle easily collapses with a push of a button, either for heigth adjustment or for storage.The paint is original in blue/cream color, with the normal wear due to age and usage. The Taylor Tot labels are original and show some slight wear. The chrome tubular framing is in good condition- minor scratches, rust/pitting. Vintage Blue Taylor Tot Stroller / Walker Circa 1940's or '50s
Many eBayers remember their own mothers using similar strollers during the 1950s. 1960s, or earlier. These beautiful strollers were considered the'Cadillac' of baby walkers in their time. The Frank F. Taylor Company was founded in Norwood. Ohio, in 1921. In 1964, the company relocated to Frankfort, Kentucky, and continued to manufacture strollers in bright colors. I don't know if it is what you call'rare' but I had trouble finding another one to compare it to. I'm not sure yet the exact age. But I will go over it with a magnifying glass to see if it has the date or other manufacturing info on it. This antique Taylor Tot stroller is from a late relative's estate. Original paint and accessories. Due to the age of this unique stroller some surface rust is on the stroller and some paint is chipped off of the stroller. And the wooden seat is split in a straight line. The rubber sleeves on the front and rear rails have all but cracked and fallen off. But overall the stroller is a must for all dealers and collectors. Stroller's handle collapses for easy storage and carry and is truly a collectible piece. Would not be hard to bring it back to it's original condition. It works pretty well. It was kinda dirty but I gave it a shower. I scrubbed it and then dried it and blew it with a fan for over an hour. I then polished the wood and the metal and the rubber wheels with a wood preservative. And I oiled the wheels. It looks a lot nicer than it did 5 hours ago. I usually hold onto things for a few months before I list them but space is a little limited so on it goes. Its 43" long x 34" tall x 16" wide. Works well. You can see the cracking in the rubber bumpers, this model has spring suspension, you can see the age in the wood and metal parts, whoever buys this will likely leave it as it is or restore it. I do not know if all the original parts are on this. I have seen others that had a bottom sheet, so please see the pictures of this one. This will probably ship in a box approx. 27x20x18 inches. Taylor Tot Stroller Baby Buggy Walker Blue Streamline Fender Skirts Vintage
Hello! You are bidding on a vintage Taylor Tot baby stroller/walker with all the bells and whistles. It has the locking brake mechanism for the back wheels and the awesome streamline wheel fenders. The push-handle folds down for more compact transportation. It has the original cushion cover for the adjustable back but it is not in very good condition. The buggy is in very good used condition with no major damage or condition issues I can find– just normal wear(as pictured. If you need more pictures/scans I will be happy to email them to you) I think the seat was repainted long ago and when they reassembled it they put the beads in the position you see– they originally went in the middle section. The only thing I can see that is missing are the decals and one wing nut and carriage bolt on the adjustable back, otherwise it is complete. The ... morefloor plate is easily removable so as the child gets older it can be used as a walker. The rubber cushioning/protectors are in remarkable condition compared to what you usually see. Features included; wheel covers, play beads and food tray, spring suspension, wheel lock, and 1" pnumatic tires. This one has been totally professionally restored down to the new rubber on the bumpers and to the original decals! This Taylor-Tot was completely disassembled. All parts sanded clean, primed, and painted in original colors of romance blue and yellow ivory. Three coats of enamel were baked on, and clear coated. It was reassembled using all brand new hardware. The rubber on the bumpers was replaced with new and the wood handles polyurethaned. They even replaced the original decals! Stroller is gray in color with a white seat. Its made of metal and the seat is wood. There are wooden beads across the front bar for the child's entertainment. It measures approx. 26" long(Bumper to Bumper)x 18 1/2" wide(across bumper)x 16" Tall(from ground to top of seat) It also has a folding handle for storage. It was made in Ohio. Vintage 1952 TAYLOR TOT Metal Baby Buggy Stroller Walker- Original& Complete Vintage 1952 TAYLOR TOT Baby Stroller Walker This was recently acquired at an estate auction. This wonderful Taylor Tot Stroller Walker is exactly as found. Stylish Art Deco design& function makes this an appealing baby stroller walker. The Taylor Tot was designed& constucted to last many years. It has dual use fuctionality. It is used as a stroller with a folding push handle. The handle folds down for convenient storage. The stroller can also convert to a baby walker. By easily removing the folding push handle& the floor pan. This stroller does show some wear, but it is very nice condition for its age. The tires& rubber guards on the bumpers are in great shape. There is a crack on the bumper behind the left front& left rear tire. Usually ... morethe bumper guards are cracked, with parts or the whole guard missing. The fenders are in excellent shape& they add to the desirability of this fantastic stroller. There is some surface rust in various spots but no rust through spots. The seat has been glued at some point in time. There is a stamp mark underneath, 5-52, which I believe is the date stamp for May 1952. The front& rear spring suspension is intact. This is a nice stroller that is 100% complete& original. Up for consideration is a Vintage Original 1940's/1950's Blue and White Taylor Tot Child's Stroller/Walker. There are now markings so I am not sure that this is a"Taylor Tot" The ones that looks like mine are describing it this way It measures approx. 25" Long(from bumper to bumper) x 18 1/2" wide(across bumper in front) x 16" Tall(from ground to top of seat) It has all the typical wear from age and use as in. Dings, scratches, paint loss, cracks in wood, and rust. The fenders are missing. The rubber coating does have some ware(last 2 photos) The seat is made of wood and it has wooden beads across the front for the child's entertainment.
