It has rolled sides and so me scrolls. It is in as-found condition and could use a bit of restoration or you could leave it just as is and it would make a wonderful display stroller for old bisque dolls or old teddy bears. Could use some glue on the back rest but the wicker itself is in remarkable condition considering how old it is and having n e ver been painted. The cushions are old and filled with excelsior. Obvioiusly. This old buggy is not perfect so please buy it as shown. It is really quite impressive in person and quite large. Rough measurements are about 45" long. 20" wide, 35" to top of handle. The back wheels are a big 22" in diame ter and the front wheels are 14" The wheels roll freely and smoothly. The undercarriage is metal with some old green paint and maybe some white pin striping.not sure. The parasol holder is on the handle. THERE ARE 25+ PICTURES PLEASE CHECK ALL OF THEM! The cover is reversible from side to side with the original securing fasteners. Sadly. I no longer have the room for this item. The new owner can keep the dated cover and bedding(vintage embroidery) or have it restored to pristine condition. There are a few stains on the cover that show its age, but it is a wonderful piece! This is an antique. Victorian, full size wicker pram. Pram made of metal and wicker. With canvas seat. Rolls smoothly. The wicker weave has loosened up a bit and may need to be re-attached at edges, rubber wheels have a few cracks, the curved area where the child's feet rest is coming loose, you can see the nails up above where it was attached to, and may need to be re-attached. I will be removing the handle for shipping and my husband said that the bolts will probably break when I remove them, so be aware that those 4 bolts may not be original, I don't know yet. She is the perfect compliment for this awesome antique coll carriage. Made in the late 1800s this is a wicker"convertible" carriage. It was made in this smaller version for Victorian girls to model their mothers' behavior with their dolls. The carriage goes from sitting to laying down with the aid of a lever and was advertised as being a GO CART. Am listing this item for the Owner of the Antique Center. It measures approx. 36 1/2" tall by 43 1/2" long by 22" wide. The seat is 13" by 14" wide. The back of the seat is 15 1/4" high by 12" wide. The neat thing is that although the fabric has been nicely redone. It comes with a box where the original fabric, for both the carriage and the parasol, was stored in, to leave no doubt of its age. This item will be hard to pack and ship. So it will definitely have to be either picked up at Mount Vernon Antique Center here in Alexandria, or it will have to go via freight, we recommend TSC Moving, but keep in mind they can take from 2-8 weeks to deliver, depending on location and driver's schedule. Beautiful Victorian era wicker Heywood Brothers baby carriage. In good condition for its age. It comes with the parasol, which is in very shabby condition. There are 2 small breaks in the wicker that can hardly be seen, but probably can be repaired. History/details about this carriage. It was made between the late 1880s-1898 and has its original upholstery and original stained rattan reed ball and stick framework and embellishments. The wire wheels are indicative of an older piece. As is the parasol holder in the back by the handlebar. You will also see a brake in the back that is applied to the back wheels to stop the carriage. Which probably had an upholstered seat that would have been placed on top of the sheet cane, to elevate the baby and take pressure off the cane by distributing the weight of the baby. Victorian baby cart or wagon. Wood. Wicker and wrought iron. Very solid condition ready for use or display. Wooden bench seat and wicker back. wooden foot rest. spoked wheels and rear metal wheels to keep it from tipping backwards. This is a very cool design. Leather seat cover has some wear and one hole and it is riveted to the wooden seat. Long wooden folding pull handle. Adorable doll buggy/stroller. This is very old wicker with steel wheels and rubber tires. The top of the buggy flips over to make a stroller for the doll. This is in pretty good condition as it sits or can be refurbished. The handle and frame is great. The wheels are solid and strong. The wicker is in pretty good condition there is a spot on the buggy bed that is barley beginning to fray. Super cute and I WILL ship!See pics. The paint is thinning all over. The pad in the pram is pretty good. Needs cleaning. The frame and wheels good. This is a good starter for refurbishing or an as is good patina item for antique displays. Age is not known for sure.
