I am listing some items from my aunts estate. I have very little knowledge of them so I will do the best I can with photos and descriptions. Most of the items were stored and have very little or no signs of wear. They come from a smoke free home. I removed this set from the packaging box to take the photos that I needed to take for this auction. From what I can tell this is a vintage pram doll stroller made of wood and iron. It looks like it had once had beading and satin added. The wood on the doll carriage has no cracks. Handle is firm. There is no names on either bear or carriage. Carriage wooden and wicker with rolling wheels. It is 12" high x 11" long. The posable Bear is 6.5" long. Looks like a Boyds Bears. But there is no clothing or tags, so I can't guarantee. Very cool antique doll stroller. Circa late 1800's or early 1900's. It's obviously seen its best days. But it's a survivor. Looks like it's all complete. Would look great as is or you could restore it. Wheels spin freely. The top opens and closes, but could use some oil. Obviously the top is in bad shape, but at least it's still there. Same for the interior. The biggest"flaws" are the screws coming off at the bottom where they screw into the wood and the rubber on the tires has deteriorated on most of the tires. Gold accents on the hubcaps were also painted to restore to the original turn-of-the century look. The canopy sun cover was replaced with a fabric-lined leatherette material. Nuts. Bolts and screws were also replaced. The buggy wood structure. Metal frame and spoke wheels are all in very good condition. The hinges on the hood work as they should and open and close with ease. The tires are not flat and the wheels turn smoothly so pushing the doll carriage is effortless. Unmarked. The carriage will be disassembled for shipping. The 100+ year old carriage is not meant for a baby to be placed in; it is to be used only for a toy doll. It's a fabulous way for a collector to display a prized doll! VERY RARE ANTIQUE WOOD BABY CARRIAGE STROLLER BUGGY PRAM WITH CREST
Up for sale we have a very rare vintage baby carriage. It is estimated to be from the late 1800's or early 1900's. It has metal framing. Metal wheels, with a wooden body, there is a pad where the baby would normally lay. and if you lift it up there are springs underneath, it has a leather hood. This particular carriage carries a unique crest on the side. It also displays a great deal of what looks like hand carving/wood scallops on the sides of the carriage. I asked an antique dealer and he suggested this possibly belonged to a wealthy family. He also explained that the more decorative ones were often special ordered and made personally for certain wealthy families. This is a"rare baby carriage" that looks great for its age. I have had this carriage for many years. and I have yet to find one as exceptionally unique as this ... moreone. It has that"Creepy Cool" look that would add character to your antique collection or antique store. This piece is in relatively good condition. It has wear appropriate with age and use but is all original. There is some rips on the leather. Great look and patina! This is an old Folding Baby Carriage/Buggy/Stroller with oiled Canvas fabric over a steel frame. The handle is fancy turned wood. The item was purchased from its original owner who shared fond memories of being pushed around by his brother in the early 1940's. This is a very old antique baby doll buggy. I'm not sure of its age.it is mostly constructed of wood and canvas lining and top shade. The bottom has a hinged section in case you want to change over to sitting position.the base needs to be screwed back into the bed part.then the foot piece.to be put back in.place. it is much easier and less costly to ship like this.just a little tlc!
