Many eBayers remember their own mothers using similar strollers during the 1950s. 1960s, or earlier. These beautiful strollers were considered the'Cadillac' of baby walkers in their time. The Frank F. Taylor Company was founded in Norwood. Ohio, in 1921. In 1964, the company relocated to Frankfort, Kentucky, and continued to manufacture strollers in bright colors. Did YOU ride in one of these strollers during your childhood? Or your parents during their childhood? ^ ^^(Pictures above are NOT the same model as the item up for auction. But are clearly Taylor Tot brand strollers)^^* Although you can find many other Taylor Tots stroller/walkers here on eBay and online. I've found it difficult to find one just like this one. Many, or even MOST Taylor Tots strollers had the wooden'steering wheel' in the front of the childs table. ... moreThis one does not. I don't know if it is what you call'rare' but I had trouble finding another one to compare it to. I'm not sure yet the exact age. But I will go over it with a magnifying glass to see if it has the date or other manufacturing info on it. This antique Taylor Tot stroller is from a late relative's estate. Original paint and accessories. Due to the age of this unique stroller some surface rust is on the stroller and some paint is chipped off of the stroller. And the wooden seat is split in a straight line. The rubber sleeves on the front and rear rails have all but cracked and fallen off. But overall the stroller is a must for all dealers and collectors. Stroller's handle collapses for easy storage and carry and is truly a collectible piece. Would not be hard to bring it back to it's original condition. Look at the pictures for the best description of this stroller's condition. Some Taylor Tots restored are bringing close to $1000 in antique sales. 1948 TAYLOR TOT BABY STROLLER/ WALKER. MOD P-45, PARTIAL LABEL, GOOD CONDITION. This item is an early Taylor Tot combination stroller& walker. It appears complete(other than one screw on handle) and performs well. The piece is marked on the bottom of the seat: P-45& 8-48. I believe the first is the model number and the second is a manufacturing date. Amazingly. There is still some of the original paper label on the front(much easier to replicate for restoration) The piece transforms easily from a stroller into a walker. This also makes it easy to store and put into a vehicle. The base unit measures 18 1/2" wide x 25" long x 18" tall. It works pretty well. It was kinda dirty but I gave it a shower. I scrubbed it and then dried it and blew it with a fan for over an hour. I then polished the wood and the metal and the rubber wheels with a wood preservative. And I oiled the wheels. It looks a lot nicer than it did 5 hours ago. I usually hold onto things for a few months before I list them but space is a little limited so on it goes. Its 43" long x 34" tall x 16" wide. Works well. All Original. PAL baby stroller/walker from the 40-50's? This has been stored out of weather always. The sticker is still complete and in wonderful condition. There is minor surface rust on top tray. All rubber is original on bumpers. The handle latch still works. Easily remove the handle for storage or to turn into walker. Still all works. Rolls wonderful, tires like new. One exactly like this was on Rick's Restoration show on History Channel and was valued at 1700.00. This one would need very minor sanding and repainting of the tray if u wanted it perfect. Hello! You are bidding on a vintage Taylor Tot baby stroller/walker with all the bells and whistles. It has the locking brake mechanism for the back wheels and the awesome streamline wheel fenders. The push-handle folds down for more compact transportation. It has the original cushion cover for the adjustable back but it is not in very good condition. The buggy is in very good used condition with no major damage or condition issues I can find– just normal wear(as pictured. If you need more pictures/scans I will be happy to email them to you) I think the seat was repainted long ago and when they reassembled it they put the beads in the position you see– they originally went in the middle section. The only thing I can see that is missing are the decals and one wing nut and carriage bolt on the adjustable back, otherwise it is complete. We are very excited to offer this wonderful Pal baby stroller and toddler walker in spectacular original condition found at a local estate sale(along with a number of other great older items that had been carefully stored and preserved as well) We have purchased a number of baby strollers over the years. But this is the first"Pal" we have found. We have done no restoration work on this piece- everything is absolutely original, including the well-preserved, crisp brown paint and the very nice paper label found on the seat. We have been told that the Pal strollers are fairly rare. Much more rare than the Taylor Tot ones from the 1950's and 1960's that have been popular collector items for the last 5- 10 years. Sticker is original and stll in tact on tan painted wood seat. 1 Owner only, I purchased this at my Dad's cousins estate sale and they only had 1 child. The condition of this walker/stroller is great for it's age, around 60 years old. Slight rust only here& there. Toy plastic beads original and still intact by the metal tray where you would place some snacks, still have their painted on pictures or ducks, rabbits and chickens on the inside. Wood handle in great condition also. Most all of the original paint and painted details are still intact. Rear and front rubber bumper guards are also still intact and in great condition. All 4 metal with rubber covered ... morewheels are original. Foot tray that snaps into the bottom is still intact with slight rust spots on it only. Handle that you use for a push stroller does still fold down with ease. Slight paint only missing on the seat, basically where their little girls legs rubbed to push it. Estate find! Original with wear and surface rust(the tray seems to be the worst) Overall good condition. Wheels roll and in my opinon are in good shape. Needs restoring or display as is. Rubber bumpers seem to be in decent shape in my opinion. Handles and foot rest detach and will be shipped that way. Wood handles are in great shape and seem to be made of oak. I would imagine the seat is. Too, but can't say for sure. Wood beads are faded. Only a couple of screws are missing- easily replaced by your friendly, neighborhood hardware store employee. This has a parking brake. There is a lever located between the two rear wheels which activate rods that fit into holes on the inner rims of the rear wheels to lock movement. Pretty simple! Stylish. Art deco style fenders. Lovely baby blue color. Beads on tray kept the toddler entertained. Paint ... moreon wooden areas shows wear. WELCOME! I have up for sale this ORIGINAL. Completely restored, Taylor-Tot Stroller/ Walker. This one is a vintage 1930's-40's Deluxe model. With the FENDERS! Features included; wheel covers, play beads and food tray, spring suspension, wheel lock, and 1" pnumatic tires. This one has been totally professionally restored down to the new rubber on the bumpers and to the original decals! This Taylor-Tot was completely disassembled. All parts sanded clean, primed, and painted in original colors of romance blue and yellow ivory. Three coats of enamel were baked on, and clear coated. It was reassembled using all brand new hardware. The rubber on the bumpers was replaced with new and the wood handles polyurethaned. They even replaced the original decals! Everything appears to be original and in un-restored condition with the exception of the wooden seat being wiped top and bottom. Wheels still roll well and it pushes smoothly. Parent push bar folds up and down easily so it converts from a push stroller into a walker easily. Though the surface of the metal is oxidized it does not appear to have any spots which have gone through and the structure is sound. This was purchased at an estate sale in Sycamore Ks. It had been in a shed for who knows how long. It is in good operating condition. The bumper guard is still pliable has some rust due to age. Wheels still in good cond. Needs a good cleaning and steel wool. I didn't want to due much not knowing what someone else would want.

Vintage Metal Baby Stroller Walker 1950's Bead Wheel Fenders Blue Retro Taylor?
This wonderful stroller comes from an estate- it is adorable and would make a great restoration project. I've been told when finished. These can bring close to $1,200! I don't have the means to restore this beauty so I'm sending it out to the world. It may be a Taylor Tot but I can't guarantee that because it has no numbers or markings on it. It sitting portion of the stroller is 18" tall from floor and the handle is 32" from the floor. As you can see from the photos, it has a wooden front handle, 8 wooden beads and a wooden strolling handle. Each wheel cover is fashioned like a retro fender- sweet! This wonderful Taylor Tot Stroller Walker is exactly as found. Stylish Art Deco design& function makes this an appealing baby stroller walker. The Taylor Tot was designed& constucted to last many years. It has dual use fuctionality. It is used as a stroller with a folding push handle. The handle folds down for convenient storage. The stroller can also convert to a baby walker. By easily removing the folding push handle& the floor pan. This stroller does show some wear, but it is very nice condition for its age. The tires& rubber guards on the bumpers are in great shape. There is a crack on the bumper behind the left front& left rear tire. Usually ... morethe bumper guards are cracked, with parts or the whole guard missing. The fenders are in excellent shape& they add to the desirability of this fantastic stroller. There is some surface rust in various spots but no rust through spots. The seat has been glued at some point in time. There is a stamp mark underneath, 5-52, which I believe is the date stamp for May 1952. The front& rear spring suspension is intact. This is a nice stroller that is 100% complete& original. The handle folds nicely over the stroller for easier transport. Very much usable or ready to display. With the handle up stroller is 35 1/4" tall, 37" long and 18 1/2" wide. Great vintage Taylor Tot stroller/walker. The stroller is 100% complete with fenders. A wooden handle, spring suspension system and complete rubber bumpers. Even the paper stickers made it. The item was purchased from its original owner who shared fond memories of being pushed around by his brother in the early 1940's. It has just the right amount of wear that makes it a great display piece in any child's or family room without restoration.
