11 1/2" diameter with the hub having a 1/2" diameter center hole. Hub is 2 3/8" in depth. Paint on the wooden hubs and spokes is original and sort of a yellowish cream with one side being accented with red striping. Rubber on the tires is good with one having about a 3/16" separation between the rubber joint. Rims are steel. They're pretty nice. Antique baby doll stroller,carriage,buggy,circa 1870
This circa 1870s doll stroller is in really good shape for the year it was made. The body is made of rattan wicker and wood. Wheels are made from Brentwood metal with steel rims.The canopy is made of canvas. Also the canopy opens and closes. From top of canopy to bottom of wheels measures 35' the basket measures 23' long, 15' wide, the handle to the back of the basket measures 40' long. This stroller has been one of the most favorite conversation pieces in my home for years due to the strange way it looks. Stroller is in great shape, no rips, tears, broken wicker. It has been taken care of very well. Cleaned only with warm cloth to remove dust, never cleaned with any chemicals. What a great find! We came across this fabulous early baby doll buggy with an ornate wooden handle. Sun shade canopy functions perfectly and flips from front to back easily. Wheels are intact and roll along as they should. The frame is metal. There is some paint wear on the handle- see pictures 8& 9. Let's talk about the wicker. Overall the wicker is in very good condition. There ARE spots where the wicker has torn.see pictures 6& 7. There are some loose ends also in the sun shade canopy.see last photo. Lastly it appears as if at some point in time a craftsman has made some mends as we notice a color differential in some parts of the buggy. Please review pictures carefully and let us know if you need more! In our opinion the wicker variances are minor and don't detract much at all from the overall presentation of this terrific ... morepiece. Measurements: Overall length is 26 1/2 inches-measured from handle to nose of carriage. Height is 22 inches from ground to handle. Bed(interior wooden lie down area) is 13" long.will fit dolls up to this length comfortably. The overall body integrity of this buggy is excellent! Sitting area also replaced with a purple/mauve velvet material. Dimensions are from front wheel to back wheel is 29 inches, the body of the carriage is 21 inches, handle is 21 inches long, 9 inches across, from front wheel to top of handle is 38 inches, 27 inches tall, canopy is 12x8. To ship this carriage we would have to take the handle off(which is only a few screws) and take the wheels off also just 1 screw holding the wheel on. Please ask all the question you need to and i will answer them the best i can. I have asked an antique dealer and was told it was from the late 1800's or early 1900's. You are bidding on a unique carriage. Buggy or cart for a child or doll that is Victorian or Edwardian in style. The carriage is in excellent shape. The carriage is made of wood(oak) and iron. It has two adorable red spoke wheels and a decorative oak handle with interesting lines that also folds and has a locking system. The seats and cushion are also in red with gold trim. The seat has a leather strap with a picture of a young child and the seat itself has a reversible back so the child can sit facing either way. The cushion on the seat says" E-Z Go" in gold letters. This is a very tasteful and solid looking carriage or buggy. This carriage is well made and appears to have a kind of spring system to cushion the ride. The buggy area(doll holder area) measures 6" long. 3 1/4" wide at the front and back, 10" tall from bottom of wheels to top of carriage, 1 3/4" wide on the inside, and the stroller handle is 3" from the buggy. The cover and inside buggy is in good condition and made out of a very thick black strong material. So Charming.The Carriage is made from natural wicker with spindle wheels and dripping with ivory lacy frills. Ivory and pink ribbons, matching dried flowers and a hand made lace tatting doily. I'm not sure of it's actual age. But the relatives handling the Estate know that it has been present in the home for quite some time. The natural wicker is in fine condition. I see no sign of damage. This is the large one and I've also a medium sized one that I'm keeping. They are made of canvas, wood and metal. Very solid, sturdy and extremely well made. This large one has no issues or concerns. The handle to push the buggy is slanted and that's how it was when I bought it. It does roll w/o a problem. The bonnet can be moved up and down, but would need to be oiled. Vinyl hood has some tears in some areas but overall condition is quite good. Still has flat vinyl cover that attaches to the buggy. In the 1950s. Vintage Green & White Flowers Baby Doll Carriage Buggy Stroller Plastic
This is a vintage plastic baby doll carriage(probably from the 1960s or'70s) I couldn't find a manufacturer on the product. It's green with white flowers and a vinyl canopy that folds down. The handle and frame are chrome. I believe, and there's a spring underneath the carriage that holds it in place. There are some scrapes from use, and the plastic that held one of the wheels in place(at the back of the wheel) has been replaced with a piece of duct tape, so that wheel(back right) is a bit wobbly. One of the two holes by which the carriage attaches to the frame is torn at the bottom. But still holds the carriage in place(see fourth photo) Note:The spot in the photo is dirt, which I've since wiped away. The mattress pad is not included. For your consideration I offer this antique wicker doll/ baby buggy. Warm woven wicker. Tan with colors in the middle of the body. Quarter circle windows on each side of hood. In amazing antique condition. Usually the rubber on the wheels has issues but this buggy does not. Curled strong metal frame. Measures: 26" long x 14 1/2" wide x 26" tall. The frame has a wonderful creme colored patina. Inside wood portions in good condition. Included is the blue satin baby blanket that was inside when I purchased it. Was given to me by my grandmother. But no longer collecting baby dolls. I am not for sure on the detail of exactly what the doll is or where it came from, but I do know all of it parts are original and both are 30+ years old. The carriage is in good condition with no missing pieces or cracks. My grandmother says the doll is porcelain, but looks to me like a hard plastic. Measures 48" long by 40" tall by 22" wide. Very rare find. One wheel is a little bent and the rubber from the rims is long gone. No rips or tears in upholstery. The woman I purchased this from was a doll collector. It was in her family for nearly 100 years and she used it as a display piece for her dolls. Rare Vintage Stroller for doll or baby This unit it large enough to be used for an actual baby. Some of the noteable features of this carriage include: It folds up for storage or transport. The leg/foot rest adjust from going straight out to pivoting so it is under the seat and virtually unseen. The back rest folds down to the point of the seat. The canopy pivots to either direction. The canopy material had some rips in it- tape. Glue, paint were used to prevent further damage. Has a lever that can be moved to brake a back wheel when parked. All original other than the 2 bolts connecting the canopy to the frame. On the front of the back rest is a girl with a sheep. 4 sliding wooden balls on the front safety bar to be played with. The metal is bent a little and the handle bars where they attach to the wood on bottom are missing one square nut. The metal brackets that hold the hood on are bent. It has some of the original cloth in obvious tattered condition. The end folds down. The wicker on the sides are in pretty good shape and would make good replacement panels for another buggie.
