It has rolled sides and so me scrolls. It is in as-found condition and could use a bit of restoration or you could leave it just as is and it would make a wonderful display stroller for old bisque dolls or old teddy bears. Could use some glue on the back rest but the wicker itself is in remarkable condition considering how old it is and having n e ver been painted. The cushions are old and filled with excelsior. Obvioiusly. This old buggy is not perfect so please buy it as shown. It is really quite impressive in person and quite large. Rough measurements are about 45" long. 20" wide, 35" to top of handle. The back wheels are a big 22" in diame ter and the front wheels are 14" The wheels roll freely and smoothly. The cover is reversible from side to side with the original securing fasteners. Sadly. I no longer have the room for this item. The new owner can keep the dated cover and bedding(vintage embroidery) or have it restored to pristine condition. There are a few stains on the cover that show its age, but it is a wonderful piece! I used this buggy with my last two children. What a pleasure it is to offer this authentic Baby Doll Stroller with it's original factory stamped number(F418) all original paint and the original SOUTH BEND TOY COMPANY sticker still intact. There is a canopy but it looks too large for this stroller. But it is an original stroller canopy with all the original period hardware. Unless the wood has swelled out it's not for this stroller but comes with it in this auction just in case! Appears to be original paint. 65% of original factory sticker still there. Wicker has come unravelled. The length is there to be re-rushed. the wheels will need a little work, But they are all there and attached with the original caps.

The neat thing is that although the fabric has been nicely redone. It comes with a box where the original fabric, for both the carriage and the parasol, was stored in, to leave no doubt of its age. This item will be hard to pack and ship. So it will definitely have to be either picked up at Mount Vernon Antique Center here in Alexandria, or it will have to go via freight, we recommend TSC Moving, but keep in mind they can take from 2-8 weeks to deliver, depending on location and driver's schedule. For auction is a beautiful 1880s baby buggy carriage with the original blue upholstery. It is in beautiful condition with only a few minor flaws. All of which are fixable. The upholstery is in great original condition, there are tassels that hang in strategic spots to decorate it, and it rolls very nicely. You don't see them in this condition very often. This was my grandmothers from the 30's. It has been in their home for years and is in great condition considering the age. The wicker shows very well. Only one spot of scratches as shown. Rubber and hubcaps are still on all of the wheels. It does have some surface rust as expected. One of the plastic windows has cracked and is broken out. This would make a great decorator piece. It was manufactured by the Heywood Brothers.The model is known as"The Heywood" it has a plack on the floor of the carriage) Its measurem ents are: 54"L from tip to tip. 24" W and 43"H from ground to its highest poin t. The carriage is in great condition. It will need some minor restoration, the floor cushion is missing, but it is still very displayable. Fortunately. All the wicker is great condition and there is no visible damage to it. The umbrella is missing, the attaching rod lock is still in place. The padding is a little faded. The burgundy pink color is in good condition, no tears, or rips or stains, just need a carriage floor cushion, one could be made easily. It is approximately from the 19 00's- 1910 Era so it is very old ... morebut it rolls so smooth and easy. It has wonderful shocks. This would be a great. For a nursery or maternity shop, it truely would make a lovely addition to your decor. The Heywood brand was considered the Cadillac of carriages and this one is a great example. Antique Vintage Victorian Wicker Doll Stroller with Bonnet and Metal Wheels A beautiful piece for doll collectors! or the perfect center piece for an elegant baby shower! This stroller is in beautiful condition- there is no damage to the wicker. It has been in storage and is dusty- could use a cleaning The bonnet opens and folds and stays up nicely- could use a little oil to loosen the movement The overall height with bonnet up is nearly 24 inches The height of the handle is 19 inches from the ground The wheels measure 7 1/2 and 5 1/4 inches in diameter. One wheel is just slightly lopsided but the unit rolls nicely. There are no tears in the inside lining. I am including some modern handmade bedding- a pad. 1920s Family Antique Wood Wheels Green Wicker Baby Buggy Stroller PICKUP Ohio
We are not antique collectors. But instead have some family items to part with due to clearing their estate. This buggy held my father and his siblings who were all born in the early 1920s- and WWII veterans. It could be FA Whitney Carriage Company but no markings on it that we can find- so don't know the manufacturer. There is a name plate inside the seat area. But it is blank or it was painted over. It measures approx. 45" length from handle to end; handle height is 36" From floor to top of hood is approx. 40" Width of baby buggy is 19" Wood Wheels are 13.5" diam The wood wheel spokes and wood have hard rubber tire and have lots of wear left in them. A real nice piece that moves well. Has a foot brake that works perfectly, and the adjustable carriage hood moves back and forth. Also the baby's seat is adjustable ... moreto a reclining position. Springs appear in good condition. Also had the seat cushion inside. The cushion is soiled of course. But the buggy is in good condition. No damage to the wicker that we can see. Green wicker with white painted trim. Nice baby carriage. Doll stroller, or great décor piece! We are offering this for pickup only at this time in NE Ohio. Late 1800s. Wicker back and sides. Wooden seat covered with corduroy fabric, metal wheels. Large front wheels were covered with? that is missing in several places. The 2 small back wheels are all metal. Wicker in great condition. Fabric ripped. Rust on foot rest. Handle has lock that prevents collapse when extended.
