I couldnt believe that something this old could have been kep in such beautiful condition all these years. It looks as though it was lovingly covered and stored for over 50 years. Even the shade cover I discovered in thhe front compartment appears to have never been used! The original chrome'fenders' are shiny and bright! This easily converts from a buggies to a stroller. The label reads Europe Import Co. Detroit. My asking price reflects the fine original condition but of course I'm always open to a good offer so don't be shy! I would equate this buggie to a low milage garaged 50's automoblie discovered after years of hibernation. It measures roughly 35"L x 34"T x 19" W. This is not a doll stroller. Vintage Pram with detachable parasol. The parasol has springs top& bottom that allow you to adjust where it covers. It is missing 1 rod in the top of it but it can most likely be replaced. The leather straps on the bottom are ok but could use new ones. They hold the seat in the frame and act as the shocks. Break works perfect. Covering is really nice. Wheels are 6" and in good shape. Up for bid is an nice Antique 1960's Rex Stroll O Chair Pram style Baby Carriage in good condition. This company used to make these carriages in NYC so this isn't an imported replica. Overall this green stroller with white vinyl inside is in great shape with only few very minor blemishes. It does have one of the hub caps missing and some minor pitting on parts of the chrome undercarriage. The top section is removable and the sun shade is convertible. Antique Victorian Wicker Baby Carriage w/ Parasol. Pram Style Buggy. Early 1890 This baby carriage is from the Victorian period and in nice working condition. A wonderful display for photography. Displaying a doll collection. Or pushing your little angel around town. Update: I had a local seamstress sew a beautiful new cover for the parasol with lace. See new photos. And I will include the old pattern with the carriage. But this really made a wonderful addition to this carriage. The material is free floating and not sewn into the umbrella. And this could be done for a tighter fit. But this way the material is not under stress for display. The material looks to all be original and complete with both sides. Bottom and back. The buggy measures 35" inches tall without the adjustable& folding parasol. The length with the footrest to the ... morehandle is 42" inches long and the width is widest part of the back wheels which measures 22 1/4" inches wide. The footrest is free and adjustable back support allows for the seat to lay down for a bed. The carriage rolls freely and easily and is a black steel frame. And the carriage has a foot brake that holds firm. The frame of the parasol is complete without any damage and a unique folding design. A true survivor and a beautiful piece of American history and one sure to get all the right attention. Condition is great with just two minor repairs besides the parasol cover and lace with will need repairing or replacing. The reattaching the wicker side foot panel(or leave it off) And there is a little bow to the one foot rest sides from the side panel being off. The material on the parasol is new(see update above) So the only damage is on the wicker footrest where one of the sides have come off and these two pieces are included in the sale for reattaching. Tears, holes or major stains- needs a light cleaning. The pink mattress has no rips or tears in the pink plastic. There is a little paint loss here and there(nothing major) Rolls easily- plenty of wear left on the wheels. The new owner can keep the dated cover and bedding(vintage embroidery) or have it restored to pristine condition. There are a few stains on the cover that show its age, but it is a wonderful piece! Up for bidding is a vintage Hedstrom Convertible Carriage Stroller Pram in very good used condition. It is a green vinal on the hood and trim and a woven plaid wool/flannel like material in browns and tans on the sides in very good condition. I do not see any tears in the vinal. There is some slight yellowing on the plastic inside and very little rust spots on the rim of wheels(one wheel it is more pronounced as shown) A very special piece that converts 3 uses into one: carriage. VERY RARE ANTIQUE WOOD BABY CARRIAGE STROLLER BUGGY PRAM WITH CREST
Up for sale we have a very rare vintage baby carriage. It is estimated to be from the late 1800's or early 1900's. It has metal framing. Metal wheels, with a wooden body, there is a pad where the baby would normally lay. and if you lift it up there are springs underneath, it has a leather hood. This particular carriage carries a unique crest on the side. It also displays a great deal of what looks like hand carving/wood scallops on the sides of the carriage. I asked an antique dealer and he suggested this possibly belonged to a wealthy family. He also explained that the more decorative ones were often special ordered and made personally for certain wealthy families. This is a"rare baby carriage" that looks great for its age. I have had this carriage for many years. and I have yet to find one as exceptionally unique as this ... moreone. It has that"Creepy Cool" look that would add character to your antique collection or antique store. This piece is in relatively good condition. It has wear appropriate with age and use but is all original. There is some rips on the leather. Great look and patina! This is an antique. Victorian, full size wicker pram. Pram made of metal and wicker. With canvas seat. Rolls smoothly. The wicker weave has loosened up a bit and may need to be re-attached at edges, rubber wheels have a few cracks, the curved area where the child's feet rest is coming loose, you can see the nails up above where it was attached to, and may need to be re-attached. I will be removing the handle for shipping and my husband said that the bolts will probably break when I remove them, so be aware that those 4 bolts may not be original, I don't know yet. The original mattress is included with four sheets(three patterns and one white- see photos) that fit it. The bassinet portion comes out of the stroller/ wheels and can be used as a stand-alone bassinet. It has handles on either side for easy carrying. The canopy can be up or down and there is a cover for the bassinet portion that snaps into place. The wheel/ stroller portion does collapse for easier storage. We are glad to observe a disposition on the part of the metropolitan magistrates to contest on our behalf the last piece of ground which has been left to the unfortunate pedestrians of the London streets. The fooway is. It appears, still our own, and we are to be protected in its enjoyment. The case of Mr. George Peachey, who was sujmmoend the other day before Mr. Knox at Marlborough-street, will, we trust, be a sufficient warning to those who venture to encroach upon our rights in this respect. Mr. Hetton, of Twickenham, the complainant in the case in question, said that on the 25th of July, he was walking through Rathbone-place with two friends when the defendant drove a perambulator against him. On being remonstrated with, the defendant told him he ought to get out of the way. The complainant replied that if the defendant ran against him ... morehe should charge him with assault. The defendant thereupon caleld him a blackguard, used the most abusive language to him and his friends, and a second and third time ran the perambulator purposely against him. The defendant, refusing to give his name and address, witness gave him into custody. The perambulator was a large one, and took up nearly the whole of the pavement. The case being clearly proved against the defendant, Mr. Knox observed that it was monstrous to take up the pavement with these perambulators, some of which were of large dimensions. The pavement was for passengers, not for vehicles of this kind. He refused to look closely into the charges and counter-charges of rough language; the evidence had made it clear that the defendant was pushing a perambulator on the pavement, where he had no business, and that he drove it against the complainant. He would have to pay a fine of 20s. and costs. Antique 1940's-50's Bilt Rite Baby Carriage Buggy Stroller in Brown. Bilt Rite was once the top of the line company for the production of baby buggies. Non-restored. These buggies can run about $450 and restored, upwards $950-$1000. As far as I can tell this one has not been restored but everything is in working order. Features spring suspension, adjustable canopy, and working brakes. Inside measures 31 inches long by 14 inches wide with a 7 inch depth to mattress top. Outside measure 48 inches long by 48 inches tall. Wheels are 12 inches in diameter. Condition is quite good for its age. This item is from an old 3 generation farm estate sale. See photos item is as shown. There is some rust, wheels have minor cracks, and there is some rust on the metal under frame. The hood on the buggy folds down and the handle can fold up over the ... moretop lowering the bed down to rest right on top of the wheels. But it can not be folded up any more than that. Selling a pair of 6 1/2 inch buggy wheels for a baby stroller or carriage or old wagon. This pair of wheels has an axle hole of about 1/4" and the axle shaft is about 1.25 inches long. The metal wheel alone is about 5.5 inches in diameter but with the rubber tire. The outside diameter is 6.5 inches. Spokes are real solid and tire rubber is solid also. Large Antique Silver Cross Pram Baby Stroller Carriage Buggy 1950s WASHINGTON DC
Up for sale. A large antique Silver Cross Pram Baby Stroller- Carriage- Buggy. Stroller is earth brown color, made during the 1950s in Birmingham, England. The metal baby carrier can be removed off the chrome chassis. The bedding can be propped up. This is a very nice stroller. This stroller is a full size. It measures roughly 46" tall x 45" long with the handles open x 24" wide, from wheel to wheel. I don't know if the white bedding is original or not. Condition: Wear is expected of a baby carriage this old. Below I've listed everything that I see on the pram. 1) There are no tears or rips in the fabric. It looks very good. 2) On the fabric that covers the bed area. Which comes off, liguid was spilled on one area. 3) The rubber wheels and the break pad show the most wear. They are cracked and dry. 4) One of the two ... morebreak pads is missing. 5) On all four sides of the metal carrier there are a few scratches. Noticable on close inspection. 6) The chrome chassis looks good with m inimal surface rust. Except around the spokes area on the wheels. 7) T he ribbed black handle has a little white mark. Removable with the right cleaner. 8) The metal logo on the front side has part of it loose and disconnected from the rest of the logo. Seen in the 4th photo. The logo looks intact. If left alone, the logo stays intact, but if you move the last 1/2" smaller right part of the logo, it moves, which could be super glued to keep it stayed together. Shipping note: Local pick up is available in the Washington DC area. Stroller is large and heavy. I'll mail the stroller in two boxes. The shipping cost will include insurance and tracking info. ANTIQUE WICKER TODDLER BABY CARRIAGE PRAM
Here we have a nice antique toddler stroller or baby pram. I believe it is from the early 1900's but I am not sure since I could not find any makers mark or date anywhere. The wheels are in great condition and it rolls great. There doesn't seem to be any major cracks in the wicker and all the features work. It has an adjustable canopy and back. Also there is a foot break on it. We have tested it out with a 3 year old and it worked great. This is a great conversation piece or would be wonderful for a doll collector or photographer. This carriage is 23" tall at the handlebars and total length is 25" The actual carriage is 19" long. The big wheel is 12 1/4" tall and the small wheel is 8" There is some wicker damage at the arms and some of the pieces are here. This is from the 1890's. I am asking $125.00 as appraised. There is some normal waring in the vinyl of the canopy and the seat but otherwise awesome. No major damage or cracks. All the snaps and straps are in place– fenders look awesome. Has original paint and pinstripes. The body and wheels are good. The wheels are wooden with metal rings. The top is in good condition with fringe. Does have a small tear. It was manufactured by the Heywood Brothers.The model is known as"The Heywood" it has a plack on the floor of the carriage) Its measurem ents are: 54"L from tip to tip. 24" W and 43"H from ground to its highest poin t. The carriage is in great condition. It will need some minor restoration, the floor cushion is missing, but it is still very displayable. Fortunately. All the wicker is great condition and there is no visible damage to it. The umbrella is missing, the attaching rod lock is still in place. The padding is a little faded. The burgundy pink color is in good condition, no tears, or rips or stains, just need a carriage floor cushion, one could be made easily. It is approximately from the 19 00's- 1910 Era so it is very old ... morebut it rolls so smooth and easy. It has wonderful shocks. This would be a great. For a nursery or maternity shop, it truely would make a lovely addition to your decor. The Heywood brand was considered the Cadillac of carriages and this one is a great example. Frame sturdy and very good condition. Has a brake for secure stop. About 42" tall to top of canopy. 35" tall to push bar total length 36" long, with handle about 43" long.
