Up for sale. A large antique Silver Cross Pram Baby Stroller- Carriage- Buggy. Stroller is earth brown color, made during the 1950s in Birmingham, England. The metal baby carrier can be removed off the chrome chassis. The bedding can be propped up. This is a very nice stroller. This stroller is a full size. It measures roughly 46" tall x 45" long with the handles open x 24" wide, from wheel to wheel. I don't know if the white bedding is original or not. Condition: Wear is expected of a baby carriage this old. Below I've listed everything that I see on the pram. 1) There are no tears or rips in the fabric. It looks very good. 2) On the fabric that covers the bed area. Which comes off, liguid was spilled on one area. 3) The rubber wheels and the break pad show the most wear. They are cracked and dry. 4) One of the two ... morebreak pads is missing. 5) On all four sides of the metal carrier there are a few scratches. Noticable on close inspection. 6) The chrome chassis looks good with m inimal surface rust. Except around the spokes area on the wheels. 7) T he ribbed black handle has a little white mark. Removable with the right cleaner. 8) The metal logo on the front side has part of it loose and disconnected from the rest of the logo. Seen in the 4th photo. The logo looks intact. If left alone, the logo stays intact, but if you move the last 1/2" smaller right part of the logo, it moves, which could be super glued to keep it stayed together. Antique Wicker Baby Carriage Buggy Pram~Converts to Stroller~WOW!
You are bidding on an AWESOME estate find in this antique wicker baby carriage. Full size.not for dolls) As you can see in the pictures. It converts to a stroller, both flat and with head elevated and dropped footrest. Although not without some flaws. It is in amazing condition for its age! I find no broken wicker. The wheels and fenders give it a real"Cadillac Elegance" look. The wheels are 7 1/2" diameter and have the original Westland rubber tires. The wheels HAVE been painted on the outside surface, but this is the only"restoration" I find. The wooden surfaces had all been originally painted yellow, and this paint is flakiing off.A LOT! The steel handle easily disconnects from the buggy for storage. And is rubber-coated across the top. The hood also easily disconnects. The steel undercarriage is also painted yelllow. ... moreAnd also flaking off. Two wheels have the original leather strap connection, one has NO connection, and the other is held together with twine. The worst flaw I find is that there is a wooden support bar across the hood. And this is broken. It lies between the wicker and the plastic lining, so to repair it would require removing the lining. You can't see it, and it does not alter the look of the buggy except for where the lining is drooping somewhat in that area where it was attched to the bar. The steel hub caps and fenders have suffered some corrosion over the years. Some places worse than others. As can be seen in the 10th picture. There is an expandable pouch at the foot of the buggy for storage(diapers, bottles, etc. The rest of the pictures show the underside. This comes with the original straw-filled mattress. And original ticking, although I doubt you would want to use it for a baby! One side is in fine shape. The other side has a hole in the tickiing, and also shows staining. Mattress measures 26" x 14" Measurements are: 36" from front to back; hood measures 18" wide. Height is 32" to top of hood. I am not an antique dealer. But I have

A beautiful baby doll buggy made in the Amish Country of Illinois. I bought three of these back in the 1980's. Just sold the small one. This is the large one and I've also a medium sized one that I'm keeping. They are made of canvas, wood and metal. Very solid, sturdy and extremely well made. This large one has no issues or concerns. The handle to push the buggy is slanted and that's how it was when I bought it. It does roll w/o a problem. The bonnet can be moved up and down, but would need to be oiled. I used this for displaying numerous decorative items over the years~bears, dolls, Christmas bulbs, wrapped gifts, etc. I've also seen these used for holding toilet tissue and soaps in Victorian bathrooms. Very versatile. Authentic Antique Heywood-Wakefield Wicker Rattan Baby Carriage/Buggy- A WOW'ER!
H-W(Heywood-Wakefield) Wicker Baby Buggy with fully functional features! For your consideration. A beautiful& authentic Heywood-Wakefield wicker rattan baby carriage buggy. The buggy is in very good shape- being all original materials. Wicker body, metal framing, wood handle and spokes. The carriage has many notable features that are all in great working order: A thick wooden push handle with original paint A metal brake activation lever on the right side just below the push handle. This lever locks in the braking position when pushed all the way down- probably one of the first to have this feature. A metal lever on the left side. Towards the back and bottom of the wicker body, that controls the position of the foot end of the buggy. This lever locks into 2 positions- as can be seen in the photos. The back rest can be locked into 3 different ... morepositions with a spring loaded pull metal knob on the top of the back rest. The top canopy that provides the baby shade/blocking the light can be adjusted back and forth along 2 metal runners and can be position up or down on a pivot that has large wing nuts to tighten to secure. The mechanics for these adjustment are on the back of the top sides of the main body. Wooden spoked wheels with hub caps that had or have"H-W" painted on them- most of this has worn away but one is in pretty good and readable condition. All 4 wheels can easily be removed and be re-inserted by using a spring loaded button on the axle by each wheel. A pretty cool feature. Rubber wheels- the rubber was cracking in many places but was complete on all wheels- to help secure and protect the original rubber I filled the cracks and uneven places with black silicone. The silicone could be easily removed if so desired. The Heywood Bros. was one of the first companies in the mid-1870's to make baby carriages from rattan and reed. In 1883. Measuring 44" long, 36" high and 18" wide, condition is excellent considering the age, with normal age patina on the metal, and typical aging of the rubber on the wheels. The wicker appears to be in remarkably wonderful shape with no holes or other visible issues. There are remnants of a sticker on the bottom which may have identified the manufacturer; however nothing really remains of any use in identifying the maker. Please e-mail any questions. Characterised by a hard body, C-spring suspension, spoked wheels and folding hood. This method of pram building was pioneered by William Wilson, an engineer and inventor from Leeds, England. Despite refinements in techniques and manufacturing processes. This is an antique child/baby seat made by Lloyds Loom Co. I anticipate it to be turn of the century and used to transport babies in wagons or the new-fangled automobiles. It is about 28" long. It has an adjustable handle on the back to adjust the front valence. Canopy also adjusts with wing nuts. Wicker is in excellent condition- one wear spot on the canopy and a few slightly frayed ends. Some rust in the steel base and one wood cross member appears to have been replaced. It has a leather strap with"Lloyd" tooled in the middle. The end snap pulled through so I glued it with some VLP cement. I will ship in as small of box as I can which will mean taking off the canopy so some assembly will be required. Antique baby carriage buggy 1800's wood metal leather PRAM parasol cover Large
Very Nice 1800's baby carriage that has been restored. It is in excellent condition having been stored for last 10 years and not display. While this is not our expertise we will answer any questions. This is baby or small child size not a doll size. It is fairly large measuring approx 45" to top of parasol approx 50" long from handle to front. 24" wide at wheels. Parasol measures 21"x16" Front wheels approx 20" diameter. Rear wheels approx 24" diameter. The previous owners spent $1,200 restoring it to display in their home. It is upholstered in what appears to be leather. The frame is metal and the handle is turned wood. The wheels are wood. There are 2 screws missing that we have noticed, one that holds the head rest detail at one end(the other end connects to parasol upright) and one screw where the ... morepush handle joins the back of the carriage seat(it is one of 4) doesn't affect performance. Easy fixes obviously, just pointing out what we observed. The canopy or parasol leans slightly to the left when viewed from rear(not a big deal and the head rest screw may fix the lean) Black sides and rear covers were made in 3 pieces and snap on at top and bottom and have a strap that allow them to be unsnapped at the bottom and rolled up and tied at the top. The rear panel has small window. Having been restored I know for the purist it is not in original condition but it was professionally done. The wheels and frame have gold detail on black that is very striking. It is in display ready condition. While this is available for local pick up we will assist in shipping or freight any way possible. Note FREE shipping is to the contiguous 48 states and assumes basic dis-assembly taking the wheels. The second part is the carriage made of thick wood and is covered with old faded-worn-damaged blue cloth which shows much loss. Antique/Vintage Decorative Baby Carriage/Buggy
This is a beautiful antique item that I found and is in exceptional condition for its age. I believe it may have been made in the teens. All original. No repairs and the top does work. It measures about 14 1/2" long, 15" tall and 7" wide. The rear wheels are 5 3/4" in diameter. The front wheels are 4" in diameter. The wheels are wooden with a metal rim around them. The spokes are metal. It does need a cleaning by you when you get it. I cannot find a maker or label on it. You will not find many of these anymore. If you need more info or pictures contact me.

This is a vintage wicker baby carriage/ pram/ stroller that is convertible! As you can see in the pictures. It converts to a stroller, both flat and with head elevated and dropped footrest. It is in great condition for its age. The steel handle easily disconnects from the buggy for storage. And is rubber-coated across the top. The handle can be undone and repositioned so as to stroll the baby from either direction. The hood also easily disconnects. The steel hub caps and fenders have some rust issues as you can see from the photographs. This comes with the original straw-filled mattress. And original ticking. Mattress measures 26" x 14" Measurements are: 36" from front to back; hood measures 18" wide. Height is 32" to top of hood. Local Pickup only or arrange for your own shipping at your own cost.

We found this piece at an old farmhouse. And it's in"farm fresh" condition and would look great as a decor piece. This piece was made in the late 1800's or very early 1900's by the Gendron Wheel Company in Toledo, Ohio. The buggy has a solid iron frame that is in good shape, a lined wicker basket with an adjustable cover and iron wheels with hard rubber tires. There is one panel on the end that lays down flat so you can get the baby in and out easily or lay them down flat to change a diaper. This is a great antique piece that would be a fun restoration ... moreproject and would make a great"rustic" decor piece as it sits now! Condition: This piece is antique and used with some wear. We picked this out of an old farmhouse and it's in"farm fresh" condition. So it is definitely not pristine. The iron frame has some pitting and oxidation throughout. This is a very nice children's doll carriage dating from the early 1900s. It has dark green canvas oil cloth on a metal and rosewood frame. The metal spoke wheels move freely. The seat back has 2 positions adjusted by a metal bar on the back. The wooden scrolled handle is sturdy. In excellent condition with a beautiful patina. This buggy is in excellent condition for it's age- there are no rips or tears in the cloth and no rust. But there is one spot where the cloth has been separated from the frame brad(see photo) From a smoke-free, pet-free home. Antique Victorian Child's Baby Carriage Buggy Stroller Dated 1877& Signed Description This is an exquisite Antique Victorian Baby Stroller with its original umbrella frame and attachment. All parts are original including the reclining seat. The seat upholstery has been professionally recovered without removing the original fabric or stuffing( this was done due to excessive fraying of the original fabric) The feet area tapestry is original and still intact( does show wear) The original umbrella was also recovered over the old fabric due to torn& worn original fabric. The umbrella is adjustable and all the mechanisms are intact and working. The best part of this beautiful stroller is the great condition of the carriage body& frame work and the fact that it still has the manufactures dated plaque attached to the back of the stroller ... moreseat( see photos) Manufactured by the Downing Carriage Co. Erie, PA. Patents range from 1877 to 1883. The front part of the stroller is surrounded by ornate spindles and ornately shaped cane. Which forms a heart shape design along all three sides. The two sides of the stroller also have metal safety rails attached. The outer sides of the stroller seat are oak wood framed with tightly woven wicker panels that are all intact with no holes present. The side pins that hold the seat in an upright position are present. These pins can be removed to lay the baby down. The child’s strap-in leather belt is also present; however. One end is missing a short piece of the strap; both buckles are present. The front two side wheels measure 20" in diameter and are all wood with metal rims. The two back side wheels measure 22" in diameter and are also all wood with metal rims. There is one tin hub cap missing on the left front wheel( decorative only. Does not affect the function of the wheel or stroller- see photo) The push handle is all solid oak. Ornately shaped with metal tin caps on the ends. There is some minor surface rust on areas of the metal frame underneath the stroller
