The exact age and origin of this antique Mexican Mesquite wood cabinet door is not known. But it is out of Mexico and it is very old and it is thick and very heavy. Pair of double bifold doors from the interior of a barn located in Klecknersville Pa. The overall measurements are approx. 93" tall by 86-1/2" wide by 1-5/8" thick. Each panel is made of solid pine laminated construction(7/8" thick half-lap joint construction frame on the front side. With 3/4" thick beaded tongue and groove applied to the back) Window openings measure 12" by 26" two glasses are missing, but the two that remain have very wavy glass) All the original hinges are present and I have most of the old flathead screws. There are three slide-bolt hardware pieces attached to the doors, but it looks like the hasp has gone missing from the center of the doors. As you can see in many of the photos, these doors show wear, cosmetic blemishes, and lots of great character, which is to be expected for their ... moreage. The door is constructed of solid Pine and secured with cross rails on the interior side. We didn't personally remove the door. So I don't know exactly where it came from, but my guess would be that the door was used for a shed or some kind of storage room. Not sure if it came from a farm, or just a country home. Thanks for looking. Your viewing a pair of old vintage wood doors. These were from a garage. Barn or possibly a stable or carriage barn. They are being sold in as found condition and have been stored in an old barn for many years. The wood is in very condition with no rotting and they are painted in an old white color. All the hardware including the three 16" long hinges per door, the locks and knobs are also good and in working condition but there is no key. Each door has 6 glass panes but one is broken. The glazing is in old condition and in need of some repair. The measurements are 47 1/2 inches wide by 95 1/2 inches tall by 2 inches thick for the door on the right and 47 1/2 inches wide by 94 inches tall by 2 inches thick for the door on the left. There is a rubber strip on the bottom of the shorter door to compensate for one and ... morea half inch shorter height. These doors could be used as single doors or used together and possibly shortened to match the sizes. This is an antique book. Copyright 1920: Universal Millwork Design book No 20, Robert Sash and Door Co. Designed,compiled and published by the Universal Catalogue Bureau, Dubuque, Iowa. This book has 349 pages full of doors, windows, cabinets, consoles, hall trees, kitchen furniture, panels, moldings and many many more wood work designs for the home. It has many pictures of designs and table of measurements and price list. The book is in fair condition. Spine is a little loose and has stains, but still strong. Only one page in the back is loose. The hardcover is faded and title is hard to see. Inside there are many writings, address, names, signatures and markings, all done in pencil. Wonderful Authentic Vintage Art Deco Doors in excellent condition with glass panes and silver detail including original silver door Knobs. You can see the handmade craftsmanship by the joints and hardware details. There are 4 Doors of different Art Deco style perfect for a homes bathroom. Office, or business space. Two have glass full length mirrors and the other two have original frost striped glass panes at the top as shown in the pictures. The average size of each(approx. for all) is 26W x80H. The glass has opaque areas detailed with clear glass at the top so exposure is limited for privacy but enough for sunlight.
