Came from the same beautiful home(see photo) they have opposite swings(one swings to the right and the other to the left) and could be easily converted into a pair. We could plug the lockset holes on one of the doors for $40 and we could make an astragal(stop molding; the long, wide vertical molding, which overhangs on the inner edges of one of the doors and covers the gap where the 2 doors meet) for $25- $50. This is a very special door as it is two sided- the Formal side is very ornate with applied moldings at the panels. And the Informal side is of a simple square edge at the panels(see pictures) This is a great looking complete door with a beautiful aged shellac(varnish) finish on both sides. Up for auction is this lot of 4 antique( 114 years old) interior doors that were salavaged from a large Victorian home. These appear to be solid oak with chestnut veneer or your guess. There are 4 doors. 2 have door jambs(We DO have other door jambs that will work with doors)and 2 without. Each of the doors has its original heavy brass ornate door knobs& plates& lock sets(sorry no key) all the brass is in need of polishing to bring out the serious beauty that hidden here, also all the hinges are present as well. The doors are in good condition. Some will need some work if you desire restored.
