Penn Antique Restoration. 30"x84" Antique Arts& Crafts Door w/4 Panels. Fantastic. Arts& Crafts style antique door salvaged from an old home in Northeastern Ohio. The door is made of solid, old pine and is painted on both sides. If you think that pine is a weak. Soft wood; please keep in mind that the wood milled from modern pine trees, which only grow for a few decades before they are cut down, is not the same quality as the wood that was milled by our forefathers from trees that were hundreds of years old. This door was built using the wood from mature pine trees, and exhibits the qualities of wood that has endured the test of time. As a result, it's physically harder, less susceptible to warping and twisting, and more insect and rot resistant than today's pine lumber. The door has a rare design featuring 4 recessed ... morepanels: 1 square panel on top and 3 long. Vertical panels below. Notice that there is no molding around the inner edges of the panels-shaker style! Hardware: Although the photos show some hardware installed; the door doesn't come equipped with any hardware. However. We have a good selection of period hardware to outfit the door(check out our eBay store) If you would like any of the hardware holes plugged with a solid wood. Please email us for a quote. Condition: The inner corner of the lock stile is slightly separated from the bottom rail. There is also a strip of wood sticking out(see photo) The 2 cross pieces are not loose. But they should be re-secured prior to installation. We could reconnect the 2 pieces by first cleaning out any debris in the gap, and then gluing and driving one or two 8" 10" dowels through the stile and rail. We would also push back the strip of wood into place, in the process-email us for a quote. There are some deeper scratches on the lower half of the lock stile. On the exterior side of the door, which appear to have been caused by a dog. This must have been a smaller dog, because they are not as bad as other scratch marks that we

The door has 1/8" birch veneers over a solid Douglas fir core, has 6 windows and 1 recessed panel. Although there are 6 windows. Only 4 have beveled glass lites installed. Unfortunately, the other 2 are Plexi glass and 1 of them is cracked. We could either custom cut new pieces from our collection of old glass. Or we could order new glass lites(i.e. beveled, tempered, leaded, stained, etc. and install them- email us for a quote. Hardware: The door is currently not equipped with any hardware. However. W e have a good selection of period hardware in our eBay store. And tons more in our physical store. The door has a solid pine core covered with 1/8" thick oak veneers. When most people hear"pine" they think of a cheap. Weak, soft wood. New pine hewn from 10- 20 year old trees don't have the same insect-resistant, rot-resistant, or even fire-resistant qualities that old pine, hewn from trees hundreds of years old have. Old pine is also much harder and stronger than young pine. Also. Please don't think that"veneer" means inferior quality. Unlike the paper-thin veneers used on modern doors and furniture. These veneers are 1/8" thick and provide strength and stability to the door. The door could be sanded and refinished several times ... morebefore the door would need to be re-veneered. The most obvious and impressive feature of this door is its beautiful. Arts& Crafts style arrangement of 13, true-divided, beveled glass lites. Not only are doors with this design extremely hard to find, but it is almost impossible to find a door like this with all of its original glass! Hardware: The door is not equipped with any hardware. Wonderful Solid Pine Mission Arts and Crafts Entrance Door
Up for auction is a beautiful Solid Pine Door from 1918. Door was removed by the owner so we know the date of the door as being original. This door is in excellent shape with original glass windows. House that door came from had a nice wide porch and as such this door has no rot. Door bottom on front of the door was wood puttied to fill some of the dings from door and will be buffed flat and ready for paint. Door front has been sanded down and inside door side has original varnish which I believe has been shallacked. Vintage 1930’s Arts & Crafts Leaded Opaque Glass - Tudor Style Door Sidelights
Here’s a good solid pair of vintage door or window sidelights- nice old white paint with leaded thumbprint Tudor style or Arts& Crafts 1930’s glass windows which measure 47” Tall x 7.25” Wide. Both wooden side frames measure a total of 80" Tall x 10" Wide and 10" Deep. They are great for new construction or even restoration projects. Glass is good throughout. You might even be able to take out the leaded glass and use them as a pair of defused lighting windows for a faire booth. This was a salvaged pair of door sidelights from an antique shop. Condition: Very Good to Excellent for their age. A finish carpenter would have to bring out the true beauty of these unique sidelight doors. I do not know for sure what the wood is made of. The door has a solid, oak core covered with 1/8" oak veneers on one side(green side) and 1/8" pine veneers on the other(beige side) Please don't think that"veneer" means inferior quality. Unlike the paper-thin veneers used on modern doors and furniture. These veneers are 1/8" thick and provide strength and stability to the door. Oak is a very dense wood and the door would've warped long ago if it weren't for its veneers. The door has a rare design featuring 4 recessed panels: 1 square panel on top and 3 long. Vertical panels below. Notice that there is no molding around the inner edges of the panels-shaker ... morestyle! The door was previously used as a"swinging door. which means that it had a spring-loaded, pivot hinge installed in it's bottom corner, and swung both forward and backward like a saloon style door. The door no longer has it's pivot hinge or push plates. However, just because it was used as a swinging door, doesn't mean that you have to. We could cut the height of the door to just above of the area where the hinge was installed, or if you need the height or need it taller, we could plug the mortised area and even add to it. Look at the last photos of another door that we modified as an example. Condition: The upper hinge stile corner has a fairly big break. However, the break is only on one side of the door. It looks worse than it actually is. The corner is still tight and the break is not structurally threatening. You are looking at a beautiful arts and crafts beveled glass entry door. 6 beveled pieces of glass. This door has been professionally refinished and is ready to install. The grain of the oak is amazing. As you can see in the pictures. No hardware included. From the outside, the knob is on the right, so it swings inward to the left. 1 hole drilled out for deadbolt. It takes a unique hinge, as you can see in the pictures. There is an antique store located near me that sells these type of hinges, so let me know if you would be interetsed in them. SET OF 3 ARTS& CRAFTS PERIOD/ ART NOUVEAU CABINET DOORS The inside(recessed) panels are carved floral designs. The oak is a rich deep color and some of the panels are quarter-sawn. Size: 15 3/8" x 16 3/8" x 11/16" All in great condition. The right panel has two partial splits on the right side. At the top and the bottom, but it is still stable and completely beautiful. The door has a solid oak core with 1/8" oak veneers and features beveled glass lites. Unfortunately. 3 of the glass lites are not beveled. However, we can order new beveled glass lites and install them, Email us for a quote. This door was originally a sidelite. Please don't think that"veneer" means inferior quality. Unlike the paper-thin veneers used on modern doors and furniture. These veneers are 1/8" thick and provide strength and stability to the door. Hardware: The door is not equipped with any hardware.
