The door if finished on the exterior side and painted white on the interior side. There is an unusual arrangement of 5 recessed panels on both sides of the door. Also, please don't think that"veneer" means inferior quality. Unlike the paper-thin veneers used on modern doors and furniture. Penn Antique Restoration. 32"x79" Antique Arts& Crafts Interior Door w/Single Panel. Handsome. Antique door salvaged from an old hotel in Northeastern Ohio. The door has a solid pine core covered with 1/8" birch veneer. It has a traditional, Arts& Crafts style, single panel design with wide, stepped molding contouring the inner edges of it's panels. Please don't think that"veneer" means inferior quality. Unlike the paper-thin veneers used on modern doors and furniture. This veneer is 1/8" thick and provides strength and stability to the door. Hardware: The door is not equipped with any hardware. However. W e have a good selection of period hardware in our eBay store. And tons more in our physical store. If you would like any of the hardware holes patched with a solid block of wood- Email us for ... morea quote. Condition: On the exterior side. There is a small crack in the bottom hinge mortise. On the interior side, the top of the lock stile is cracked and the veneer on the top of the hinge stile is cracked. The bottom hinge mortise is chipped. The door is strong, sturdy, and in great shape with only surface scrapes, scratches, small nail holes-minor cosmetic blemishes, which would be removed during the finishing process or covered if painted. Height/Width: The height of the door was unevenly cut by 1/4" most likely to compensate for a settling foundation or a warped floor. We could evenly cut the door. There is a crack in the lock housing and there is a loose strip of wood. There are also scratches that run along the panel by the lock stile.
