For sale I have 2 beautiful leaded stained glass windows. They are being sold separately. They measure 32" X 45" in the frame. They both need to be flattened a little. The first window has a couple of breaks. Shown in photos. The second window also has a few breaks but the one in the 3rd picture is the worst and can be seen the most. Description This is a nice set that was salvaged from a Philadelphia Victorian Home. They are all clear distorted glass. They have a great design that continues from the lower to the upper. There are 3 beveled jewels in each and one beveled flat piece. The upper measures 31.25 inches wide by 35.75 tall. It is 1.5 inches thick. The glass only is approx. 27 by 32.25. The lower measures 31.25 inches wide by 36 tall. It is 1.5 inches thick. The glass only is approx. 27 by 32.25. Your bid buys both. Overall they are in good condition. Antique Window Hand Made Quality Craftsmanship All Early Construction Impressive 48 inch Tall 33 inches Wide Condition Notes: This beautiful window is from the 1800's and in remarkable good condition. It is not a reproduction& not made with thick opaque glass that just looks okay. This is transparent/translucent stained glass in assorted colors with antique decorations on each. They used wavy glass. There are several cracks and we tried to show them in the pictures. Some people glue down strips of lead over the cracks for better appearances. Picture 1- center sphere. Notice some decoration has worn away from the lower part of the star, there are blue'bull's eyes' in the margin, there is a crack visible lower right pane; Picture 2- this photo was taken with the window standing in our door way to take advantage of the day ... morelight. No sun light today but the colors are dramatic; Picture 3- photo of the upper left side, notice the texture of the glass, colors in the art work. Also, the panes need a good cleaning as is visible in the border glass which is a bit dirty; Picture 4- upper right corner and again is very nice; Picture 5- left center- there is a hair line crack in the star- we held the camera at an angle to capture the reflection; Picture 6- Right center with previously mentioned crack; Picture 7- Lower left in nice condition; Picture 8- Lower right in good condition. Note one pane does not have any decoration- it may have been replaced; Picture 9- The window photographed indoors with a flash. The look is very different, the frame needs to be sanded& repainted or varnished, the lead work needs to be cleaned too. Notwithstanding some'as is' conditions this is a wonderful antique and will be a focal point of interest when properly displayed. A French monarchy icon that once symbolized the trinity with its three leaves, this could be French? There are areas of damage in which is only expected from such an old item. RARE Leaded Stained Glass Window Blacksmith Hardware Frame Lock Stay Church
We believe from our research that this is at least an 18 th century window ~ possibly earlier. Windows can be difficult to date. I have included a link below to help you decide. I was told this window came out of an old church in Detroit. It could have been brought to historic Detroit with settlers from another country. Has been in storage for the last 30 years. Beautiful glass ~ has air bubbles. Wavy, swirls ~ no damage. Shades of green and clear rectangles. Metal frame. Original turnbuckle(handle, knob) and stay(the metal strip with holes that holds the window open to the desired width) The style shows these pieces were made by a blacksmith. There is a flat piece on the turnbuckle that locks the window. On the other side of the turnbuckle is a cutout“v” that locks the window in the open position just a little bit. Stained/colored leaded glass Masonic/Judaic Architectural Detail for top of arch
Very unusual older piece. The 6-point star is common to both Masonic lodges and Judaism. The main central colored area around the star appears to be clear glass that has been mottled with the purplish paint and a brush. Nice old lap joints connect the sections of the frame where original caulking and moldings can be seen. I believe this to be the top of an arch or roof peak on the exterior of a building. 28' across x 31' high and 1 1/4' thick. Shipping weight is 8 lbs.

Description: Beautiful and stunning antique stained glass leaded window in the early American jewel style. The window is leaded with colored and wavy glass and jewels and its centerpiece is what appears to be a hand-painted mural with various fruits(grapes. Cherries, banana, peach, and pear) and leaves flowing out of a vase. This is a one-of-a-kind piece that is looking for the right home for it to be enjoyed by future generations and those that appreciate early Americana. Story: The window was meticulously removed from a house in Williamsville. NY, a northeast suburb of Buffalo, during a remodeling project(see pictures showing the window before it was removed) The house was built in the mid-1960’s in the retro-style and this window clearly doesn't fit that period. The previous owners of the home were quite eccentric and had many antiques ... moreand collectibles amongst their possessions. The window remained in its original condition thanks to professional removal. Details: Size– 3’ 10” Long x 1’ 8” High(46” x 20” Age– Unknown. We spoke with the ACSG and they estimated via email between 1880 and 1900. Style– Early American Jewel Pieces– All original and intact Bonding Agent– Lead Material– Glass Colors– Gold. Yellow, purple and blue hues Condition– Good Markings/Artist Signature– None Condition: The window is in good condition given its estimated age. The window has not been cleaned professionally since it was removed from its location. It has original paint marks/splatterings around its frame from old window trim paintings(see detailed pictures) which can easily be removed. It has some dirt and grime around the edges of the lead and in the crevices(see pictures) which can also be cleaned up. There are some tiny hairline cracks in a few of the window pieces but most cannot be seen without very close inspection(see pictures) There is one piece of lead at a corner. This window panel adorned the wall of an antique Périgord château chapelle(see lovely Paris pink rose cross) The scalloped top adds so much appeal to it! I managed to rescue two similar panels. The left corner painet panel is cracked and the right corner piece is missing. Four trim pieces are missing. The leaded joints are broken and it is being held together with clear tape which makes the piece bow in the middle. The lead is T grooved. The paint is a typical brown from that time period. ANTIQUE Leaded STAINED GLASS WINDOW in Original Wood Frame 1880's
This is a beautiful piece brought here by my parents from Holland. It is in its original wood frame and I stripped and repainted it brown over 35 years ago. It can easily be redone to whatever color you prefer. I secured a hook on the back so it can hang as a display piece. The size of the window without the frame is:27.5"x 18" With the frame 32 1/4"x 22.5" One of the rectangle amber pieces is cracked as you can see in the pictures. No glass missing though. Most of the lead is in good shape. You can see around the purple diamond shape. A small piece missing, but not all the way through. Very vivid colors. Green. Yellow/gold, amber, brown and 2 shades of purple. As you can see these windows back then were"puttied" in. Some that claim to be from this period are not. For sale are 2 stained glass windows. 4 panes total. The bottom panes are 36x19 and the top panes are 24x19. They are framed in wood for protection. I had a stained glass maker look at them and the company stated that they were approximately 100-150 years old, made in Germany. The glass is hand blown and hand painted and a technique called"silver staining" was used. There are 6 different religious icons on the windows, Joseph and Mary, the women at the well, Abraham with Issac on the alter to be killed, and 3 other scenes. There is no broken glass or lead. In the early 1990's the lead had several minor repairs by a qualified stained glass repairer. The story from the last owner of 70 years, is that they were purchased at an auction in NYC in the 1930s and that they came from the Vanderbilt estate, but that can not be proven. ... moreI can not find a makers signature but that does not mean that there is not one on the glass. It is labeled: Vue du Moulin l'eve'que Verdun. 1885. It is a listed gravure by W.Konarsky-1885 Municiple Library V.27 A. I can not find article. I believe that it is the Cathedral Saint Vanne in the background. I was told that this is an English Victorian Windows with the French historical scene. The lead is T grooved. The paint is a typical brown from that time period. It has a coat of arms with a fleur de lis and agent crown. The closest I got to finding it was that it is similiar to coat of Soissons. A commune in Picardy in Northern France. Please examine photos carefully. This needs to releaded ... moreand framed. The lead joints are broken and it is very fragile. I am including replacment glass pieces for the damaged areas. I have a piece of clear tape holding it tightly for display. The dark spots on the panels are from old tape that was used to transport it. Great blue. Black, red and yellow glass in the crest and then the rest of the stained glass is an off clear white glass with leaded seams. There are no cracks in any of the panels that I observe. Some of the caulking is loose or missing. Lots of paint on that wood frame over the years as well. Antique stained, hand-etched and painted leaded glass panel 6 ½ x 30 inches
This panel is from the border of a very old church window from upstate NY. We have cleaned and re-grouted the piece and added zinc edging for reinforcement. All the glass is original. This one of a kind. It features hand painted and etched work of a master artisan. There are some imperfections and some cracks but that’s part of their intrinsic charm. If you have ever been fascinated by the intricacy and harmony of color and line in old church windows. Check out this beautiful architectural beauty. Stained and painted leaded glass window c. 1840, Massachusetts
Rare 19th Century Stained AND Painted Leaded Glass Window. Mass. c. 1840 Acquired by my father in 1959 in Deerfield. MA at an architectural salvage auction prior to demolition of an old property, this rare and colorful Greek Revival stained and painted leaded demi-roundel illustrates a Greek Temple in a Classic garden, c.1840(or, possibly, earlier; in any event, it is probably no later than the date of the demolished property in which it had been installed) It is held in a substantial double-glazed wooden sash(not original but useful) suitable for installation through an exterior wall(as my father did) or wall-mounting in an interior. The stained/painted area is 28" long on its base, 20" high at the peak of its arc. The sash in which it sits is 33' w by 25" high. While generally in excellent vintage condition(the photograph ... moreis fairly recent) consistent with the extreme age of this piece. One or two very short seams of its leading may need a bit of attention. I recognize"short" and"a bit of" are inexact terms but I really mean to convey"minor. So minor, in fact, that, when we removed the piece from my late father's house some years ago prior to placing it in storage, we noted what might be done and decided to leave it in its original state safely resting between two layers of glass. Please note: we will not ship this window but will gladly be of reasonable service to the art packer/shipper the successful buyer selects and pays.
