BEAUTIFUL PAIR of VINTAGE LEADED GLASS WINDOWS ,LATE 1800'S ? NICE
Early lead glass exterior windows. These are being sold as a pair. 27" X 58" X 1 5/8" The paint has been stripped but the putty has not. The putty needs to be re-done or gone over just to spruce it up. Especially if you plan to use these for exterior purposes. The bottom edges are weather checked but in excellent conditon given the age. I had planned to use these for a China cupboard but have since moved onto other things and just want to sell these to someone who may have the time and a place to utilize them appropriately. I prefer not to ship these due to the type of item and prefer local pick-up only. If you're interected in having them shipped via common carrier. Please email me for an estimate. Beautiful Antique Victorian Stained Glass Transom Window. Circa: late 1800's 58"
Antique Stained Glass Residential Transom Window Circa: late 1800's Origin: American Dimensions: 58" x 22" x 1.75" A stunning stained glass transom window with an elaborate center circular motif and ornate scrollwork in cobalt blue and red. This architectural artifact was salvaged from a Chicago Victorian residence. In its original state. Unrestored with one interesting gun shot hole to the center motif and small damage to the lower right side of the glass as shown. The transom window is stable. Shows normal wear, signs of age, otherwise it is in very good condition. The wood frame has been repainted as shown. This large marvelous window is very characteristic of quality. Victorian craftsmanship prevalent at the end of the 19th century. If repaired it would make a fine addition to any Victorian home in need of a transom ... morewindow. 2 late 1800’s leaded colored stained glass window sections parts hr
I have been collecting and taking apart and repairing what used to the common leaded COLORED GLASS windows that were imported from England. I will be auctioning off remnants and sections saved from the“scrapped windows” I used for repairs. A lot of OLD GLASS left over in various sizes. Colors and textures…look for them in the next few weeks. And YES Martha, the old glass if made and annealed correctly cuts as well as new stuff.

Rare Antique Stained Glass Church Windows, Circa Late 1800's
A rare and beautiful set of stained glass windows. The hand crafted design and nature of the stained glass speaks to the late 1800's. The windows were salvaged from an old church in the Chicago area in the 1970's and have been professionally restored to their original glory. The restorers believe that the style and material suggests that they probably were imported. They have been re-framed and are substantial enough to be installed as windows. Both windows are in superb condition given their age. Sionce their restoration in 1976 they have been used indoors as partition screens and not exposed to the elements. The loving and qualified restoration make any repairs unremarkable. Each window is 79" tall and 16 3/4" wide. The wood frame size is 89" tall and 21 3/4" wide and 2" deep. This is three of three inserts from an old set of doors that were destroyed. It still has the original lead and points where it was attached to the other glass in the door. I will take photos during the day so you can see the detail and the depth of the flashed red glass. SIZE: 11.50 tall x 8.00 wide inches(approximately) Also look for about 25 pounds of salvaged glass from the old traditional English windows that were very common around the late 1800's and exported to the USA. Lot of textures. Clear, patterned, a bit of ruby red flashed and pastel monochrome colors as most of the windows from that era were. There are no LARGE pieces, but will be invaluable if you have to match a small area.
