Made of very thick glass. The beveled glass is designed in a stylized tulip pattern and reflects glints of rainbow colors at the edges in a most beautiful way! which is nearly impossible to photograph) It has a great"look" but does have some significant condition issues. The glass has one area where there is a cluster of multi-cracks. and there are several places where there are very scratched sections on the superficial surface of the glass(seems like someone rubbed back and forth with a knife blade at one time? ~perhaps trying to remove paint?a small area of push to the leading near the bottom(barely noticeable at all) the wooden frame is kinda funky in places. Has some old hanging loops embedded into the top for hanging by chains in a larger window. These condition issues seem to"blend in" with the background for whatever you see through the glass when placed in a window.and the viewer is simply dazzled by it's beauty!you could have the one section with the cracks replaced or you could"live with it" as I did) Measures: 34" wide.44" tall.the wooden frame is about 1 3/8" wide. Description This is a nice set that was salvaged from a Philadelphia Victorian Home. They are all clear distorted glass. They have a great design that continues from the lower to the upper. There are 3 beveled jewels in each and one beveled flat piece. The upper measures 31.25 inches wide by 35.75 tall. It is 1.5 inches thick. The glass only is approx. 27 by 32.25. The window is leaded with colored and wavy glass and jewels and its centerpiece is what appears to be a hand-painted mural with various fruits(grapes. Cherries, banana, peach, and pear) and leaves flowing out of a vase. This is a one-of-a-kind piece that is looking for the right home for it to be enjoyed by future generations and those that appreciate early Americana. Story: The window was meticulously removed from a house in Williamsville. NY, a northeast suburb of Buffalo, during a remodeling project(see pictures showing the window before it was removed) The house was built in the mid-1960’s in the retro-style and this window clearly doesn't fit that period. The window remained in its original condition thanks to professional removal. Details: Size– 3’ 10” Long x 1’ 8” High(46” x 20” Age– Unknown. We spoke with the ACSG and they estimated via email between 1880 and 1900. Style– Early American Jewel Pieces– All original and intact Bonding Agent– Lead Material– Glass Colors– Gold. Yellow, purple and blue hues Condition– Good Markings/Artist Signature– None Condition: The window is in good condition given its estimated age. The window has not been cleaned professionally since it was removed from its location. It has original paint marks/splatterings around its frame from old window trim paintings(see detailed pictures) which can easily be removed. It has some dirt and grime around the edges of the lead and in the crevices(see pictures) which can also be cleaned up. This is a beautiful piece brought here by my parents from Holland. It is in its original wood frame and I stripped and repainted it brown over 35 years ago. It can easily be redone to whatever color you prefer. I secured a hook on the back so it can hang as a display piece. The size of the window without the frame is:27.5"x 18" With the frame 32 1/4"x 22.5" One of the rectangle amber pieces is cracked as you can see in the pictures. No glass missing though. Most of the lead is in good shape. You can see around the purple diamond shape. A small piece missing, but not all the way through. Very vivid colors. Green. It is in the original frame which is in good shape and is painted on both sides. It measures 66 inches wide by 16.5 inches tall. It is 1.5 inches thick. The glass only measures approx. 61 x 12. This antique stained leaded glass was a salvaged window from an old Church in Philadelphia. My father acquired it in 1970 and was told that it was at least 50 years old AT THAT TIME which would date it pre 1920. He had it beautifully framed in oak and hung it inside his home over a window to appreciate it's beauty. There are 4 holes through the corners of the frame which is how it was mounted. I have no where to display this piece so I have decided to part with it. The glass measures 16 3/4" wide by 28" tall and the frames' outside measurements are 21 3/4" X 33" Please realize this is a very old piece and it does have some cracks in the glass and some minor separation of the lead. All the glass is still well in place. This is a hand wrought work of art made by a skilled craftsman. I have provided 12 photographs ... morebut please don't hesitate to ask for any additional. Vibrant colours and good quality stained glass. This window panel adorned the wall of an antique Périgord château chapelle(see lovely Paris pink rose cross) The scalloped top adds so much appeal to it! I managed to rescue two similar panels. Sadly this one is missing some bits of glass and has some minor accidents. You could have it repaired. But it has so much charm in its original condition and when the light hits this panel, you can really see how bright and vivid are still the colours! This is an antique vintage ornament. Primitive Antique Stained Glass Window Pane Hand-leaded Bath England Very Old
Absolutely fantastic early English stained glass window pane! Perhaps one of many in a larger mullioned window. This square measures 4 1/2" x 4 3/8" x 1/4" The colors are green, red, rose, and white. The glass pieces have no cracks or dings and are tightly fitted into the lead. The design is free form. The leading is irregular and obviously hand done. As shown in the photos. I bought this in the 1980s from a friend/antique dealer who had bought it at an estate sale in Bath. England. She believed it pre-dated the Victorian Era, but that is only a guess. I had two"eyes" on the top in order to hang it in my kitchen window, but I'm sure those can be easily removed.
