The glass is well chosen throughout but particularly in the flowers. The window has a handful of minor cracks. Most if not all of which are visible in the enlargeable thumbnails below. The window, at the time the pictures were taken, is filthy and in need of flattening and re-cementing, both of which will be included in the price. This large arched stained glass window served as a transom over an entry way to a 1890s home that unfortunately had a date with the wrecking ball. Lovely Art Nouveau piece in very good condition. The colors of the slag and textured pieces are bold and the light shines through beautifully. There are hairline cracks in four places which I have shown in the photos which could easily be covered by lead veins or just left alone. It measures 67”w x 39”h at the center. 1890s Leaded Stained Glass 34" Arched Transom Window -can be hung in any window!

Someone added 4 screws at the top and a few nails to keep the window tight. Two eye bolts with 3-link chains were added in order to hang the window. You just need a couple of heavy-duty hooks and this window can be hung inside- in front of a transom window, an arched window, or any window that the sun shines in and that you want to add color to the room(there’s nothing like having the sun shine through a stained glass window, creating a colorful glow) Lead is soldered between each piece of stained glass(a thumbnail test showed nail indentation. So it is pure lead– or some other soft metal) The stained glass is arranged in a two-tone(English Muffle and smooth Cathedral textures) red cross with a small(just ... moreunder an inch diameter) amber jewel in the middle of the cross. There are 3 larger(1½“ diameter) amber jewels– one to the left, one to the right, and one under the cross. Blue ripple, reamy texture for sky or water surrounds the cross. Framing the cross scene is cats paw texture purple stained glass. The glass and lead are in excellent condition. All pieces of glass are tight– no rattling. There are no breaks or cracks in any of the glass pieces. The window itself is tight. The frame needs some work; for example, one corner has a small piece of wood missing(see last photo) and the paint is peeling. MEASUREMENTS(approximate) 34 inches wide 17 inches tall weighs 10.6 lbs. Windows like this simply do not come along very often and when they do. They usually have issues. Take a look at this fantastic window- stunning. Superb…add your own superlative. Too many jewels to count. Framed in nice oak framing. It simply cannot be equaled. The height at the arch is 24 inches and the length is 44 inches(approximately) Put this in an eastern window and watch your day start right every morning! If a dealer had this window.
