Measures approximately 3 1/4 inches by approx. 1 1/8 inches. Hole center to hole center measures 2 5/8" These are all old. These also make neat drawer pulls. See close up picture for condition and neat decorations. The pull is 1 1/2" long and 1 11/16" tall and stand 7/8" off the window. There are no cracks or breaks in the solid cast brass. The lift was sprayed with clear acrylic lacquer finish made by Sherwin Williams that is specially made for cast iron and exterior applications. This is a better finish than a hardware store spray paint. Vintage Window Mirror - Shabby Antique Sash - Distressed - 22 1/2" square
I collect these old windows when i can find them- usually on remodel jobs im involved in. Or at estate auctions. Sometimes i reuse them on other jobs. when i have time, i like to use them for different projects. I just finished this one yesterday. I removed any loose(lead) paint. Then hand sanded it to remove some more of the old paint. i bleached. Rinsed, dried, and applied 3 coats of clear acrylic to seal in the shabby look and make it dirt/smudge resistant. Its smooth to the touch. And displays well as is, or could be painted quickly and easily to match your decor- without any of the messy prep! i'm working on some other ones. But they are quite a bit larger and heavier, containing 1/4" plate mirrors. They will work well in business/ commercial, warehouse/Loft, or other high-ceilinged locations, whereas this little one here is ... moreright-sized for any home or cabin. Antique French windows salvaged from a former cream production plant(see last photo) in Southeastern Pennsylvania. The plant was built during the 1890's and many of the windows were original to the plant's construction. Although a few windows may have been made after that period; all are solid wood. Each window is made of solid pine and has 9 glass lites. No hardware included. These windows were originally installed as double-hung pairs. If you buy several windows with the intention of installing them as pairs. Please let us know after the auction. Each window is ... morepainted white on the interior side and green on the exterior side. We could either completely strip the paint. Or prep the surface of the windows for a fresh coat of paint. Email us with a description of what you would like done. The quantity of windows you need, and we'll give you a quote. We found one pair of windows that were stripped at some point and finished with a clear coat of lacquer(see 2nd to last photo) We've included a photo to give you an idea of how these windows look under the paint. The lites are secured with old-fashioned glazier's putty on the exterior(green) side. The putty on the majority of the windows is in great shape. And will not need replacement for many years. However, if a lite were to break once you install the windows; you would need to completely scrape off the old putty, which could be as hard as cement, remove the glazing points, put in the replacement lite, reinsert the points, add new putty, and allow to dry. Not only is it a long, tedious, and messy job to replace a lite, but if you don't have experience doing it, the results may look awful. This is a lot of 1 and 1/2 window sash locks. They are a fancy design with a dark finish on metal and from the Victorian era. One of the locks is stiff and appears to need some oiling. The Victorians paid attention to even the smallest details as can be seen in these sash locks. Not only are the locks in great condition but the keepers still have sharp details and are without rust. These have a swing arm eagle claw mechanism made of cast iron and bronze. The keepers ... moreare cast iron. Locks and keepers do have some spots of old paint on them and have been oiled so if you plan on clear coating them you should do a final clean up before. Locks have a Pat. date of 1883 or 1888 but for the most part it’s unreadable. The measurements are 2" wide x 1 1/4" deep at their base and the keeper is 2" x 5/8" deep. Free first class shipping.
