Antique Art Nouveau Vase Arts & Crafts Movement Hammered Metal
For sale is this exquisite antique Art Nouveau Vase. I also list this under Arts& Crafts as I believe it to be a cross-over piece. There are elements of both movements in its design. I found he vase buried in an old house. It was just filthy but I loved the design so much that I had to purchase it. Really did take me an incredibly long time to polish. I left the underside unpolished so you could see how much it needed to be cleaned. I believe this is silver plate over brass. Some of the brass is showing through. Which is most apparent on the bottom ring. There are a few dings as shown, which is why I have my opening bid priced so low. However, really lovely and a wonderful find. Measures approx. 13 1/2" h with a base diameter of 5" Shipping is $9.95 across US connecting states.

Antique Art NOUVEAU Arts& Crafts WATERBURY Brass Clock w/ BIRD c. 1894 Here is a gorgeous original antique brass Waterbury art Nouveau clock. It stands 7 1/2 ins. tall by 4 ins. wide at the base. It is in good condition. I have no idea if it works as I am always scared to wind these to test, so I don't. The clock face is in good shape, original glass cover. It is marked Manufactured by Waterbury Clock Co. U.S.A. On the back plate it is marked with this. Last patent date is 1894 for this one. Then you see the other Waterbury mark. Clock face is about 1 15/16ths ins. approx. I liked the little bird down here. I believe this is brass with a brass finish. A magnet does not stick to it( besides the back cover plate)It is fairly light-weight. So not bronze. I am also listing some other Art Nouveau clocks I bought in separate auctions. These antique tudric pewter napkin rings are becoming scarce and this one is a beautiful one to add to your set. It has no defects. The only mark is"made in England" These come from Liberty& Co. Though this one is not marked as such. They were retailed in the early 1900s. I have seen these attributed to Archibald Knox in prior auctions but I am not certain about that. This one measures about 5 cm in diameter and about 3 cms in height.

Circa 1880-1900. But please make up your own mind about this. The pitcher measures approx 8 inches(205mm) tall. And is made from solid copper throughout. It is decorated with a beautiful ART NOUVEAU design. Embossed on both sides of the body. It is in good original condition with very light wear consistent with its great age. But no major damage or repairs. The pitcher has aquired a dull patina with age. see photos. It would easily polish up to a bright finish. But this is a choice I leave to you. This is a solid walnut carved art- nouveau/craftsman- styled desk which is finished on all four sides. I am estimating it was made between 1895-1915. When this style was gaining popularity. However, this kind of desk is extremely RARE. Especially since it is finished on all four sides. The very first photo has the front finished side with the five drawers/cabinets, and the other side has the identical carvings but with no drawers(last photo listed) There are also two different close-ups of either side of the most carved part, photos 2 and 7. The very first picture is a photo of the desk without the red felt covering, which was replaced recently after it was discovered through restoration work that the original top of the desk was red felt originally. This desk was bought at an auction of an old Pasadena home, where it"lived" for ... morea great number of years. There is slight peeling of the top walnut veneer but it can be easily repaired. This beautiful antique 800 Silver bowl is simply striking and I believe it was done in the style of the Art Nouveau period but perhaps it would be considered more Arts& Crafts. But I will have to leave that determination to the experts. This lovely bowl measures 13 1/2" long, 8" wide and stands about 2 1/8" tall at the handles and weighs 12.5 oz on my postal scale& 352.4 grams. It is marked 800 along with a Lion facing left inside of an oval. A Crescent Moon and Crown. I am not familiar with this makers mark and hopefully someone will recognize it. VINTAGE Antique Wool Rug/Blanket with the Macintosh Art Nouveau/Arts& Crafts Rose Motif. This particular stylized geometric rendition of the ROSE is a classic of the Arts& Crafts Movement which featured star craftsmen like Gustav Stickley. Charles Limbert, Roycroft. The rug/blanket measures approx. 72" x 50" and is in excellent vintage pre-used condition.there are VERY minor thinner areas- NOT BY MUCH AND no holes at all. There is PINK stitching for no apparent reason(see photo 7) as there is no hole to patch- perhaps the maker of the rug planned to add some embellishments to that area but never finished. The ends of the rug as shown in the photos are tight and excellent. This could be shown as a rug or blanket but really should be shown as a WORK OF ART and hanging. WE SHIP GLOBALLY.

It measures 35" in diameter and is in good condition with a few stray threads and some small light stains. The handwork is very intricate and colorful and the tablecloth has a delicate fringe. I could not get the tablecloth to lay flat- perhaps it was draped over a table for too long.

Very nice. Arts Crafts Art Nouveau era bench. The bench is iron, painted green, with 2 large griffins or winged lions, finished in gold, on each handle. The bench has 4 legs which are fixed and do not move. They are criss-crossed in the middle and the intersection is punctuated with a tole rosette. The bench is in very good condition with a couple of dings. These can be easily touched up with matched green paint. The bench is extremely sturdy and there are no wobbles or no looseness in it. The bench is stamped"Verona 318 Pat. Applied For" and the bench dates prior to 1920. This is a gorgeous accent piece! A nice old antique Art Nouveau Sterling Silver dish. It has some wear from age and use and 2 old repairs of small cracks on the reverse side(see photos) I have acid tested this piece(in 3 spots) and it tests as Sterling Silver and is Money Back GUARANTEED to be Sterling Silver. It is in need of a polishing. I saw no makers marks on this piece(see photos) It measures 13 inches long. 8 inches wide and about 1 and 3/4 ths inches high from the raised ends to the base. Antique WMF Jugenstil Arts & Crafts Nouveau Crystal & Copper Centrepiece Bowl
A very appealing WMF engraved crystal table centrepiece bowl with applied copper rim. Although forever associated with the Art Nouveau movement this piece from the famous german company likely owes more to the Arts and Crafts school of design. Simple in form. Well proportioned with a hand worked copper rim and minimalist hand engraved decoration the bowl has an understated look and feel of quality which gradually endears itself to the beholder. The glass has a clear ring to it typical of crystal. Stamped to the rim is the WMF beehive mark which dates the piece from 1909 onwards. Condition is good with light to moderate signs of wear, mainly to the base and in keeping with a piece around one hundred years old. There are no chips or cracks and the copper rim is sound. Antique Arts& Crafts. Art Nouveau Brass Overlay Slag Glass Desk Lamp. Fresh from a local Jersey Shore estate. Original untouched condition. The lamp is 14.5" tall. The Bryant socket is patent dated 1907 with a bakelite switch marked Perkins. Simple brass base with iron harp. Original green felt on iron weighted bottom. Brass shade with cut out Art Nouveau designs backed with original slag glass panels and brass bullet finial. The socket and switch appear to be in working order and the wiring and plug appear to be in good condition but you should probably have the lamp rewired to be on the safe side. The lamp was very dirty when I found it. I gave it a superficial cleaning but that is all. The brass looks like it would polish up nicely if you were so inclined. ENGLISH ANTIQUE ART NOUVEAU ARTS& CRAFTS CARVED OAK MAHOGaNY INLAID WOOD CLOCK ENGLISH ANTIQUE ART NOUVEAU ARTS& CRAFTS CARVED OAK MAHOGANY INLAID WOOD CLOCK An unusual clock of the Art Nouveau- Arts and Crafts period being of a beautifully carved wood depicting deep and crisply carved flowers and leaves with scroll to the base and inlaid woods of a floral design to the surrounding face of the clock. The clock is an electric clock but I don't believe this is the cases original clock. The original most likely having been of a wind up mechanism and with deeper workings. The original winding mechanism possibly being fitted into the base as there is a hole in the case here. I am not absolutely sure of the type of wood the case as I am not very good at judging different types but it may be mahogany. It is difficult to put an exact ... moredate on the clock as it appears to have some of the Art Nouveau style of decoration as well as of the Arts and crafts period so could possibly be right at the end of the Arts Nouveau period beginning of the Arts and Crafts period showing a combination of the two styles. The electric clock is wired and with plug but this absolutely would need to be checked by an electrician if required for use. The clock does work but is sometimes needs a bit of a jiggle to get it started and as the clock is set deeper than it would be in it's original case it is also a bit of a fiddle to adjust the fingers although it can be done. Other than the above mentioned the clock is in lovely condition showing just one or two minor surface marks but with no chips to the carving. Snips, cracks or damage and with the many pictures giving a good representation of condition and where it can be judged on it's own merit, so please do check these out carefully before bidding. Antique 11" WMF HAMMERED COPPER Vase WURTTEMBERG Germany Arts & Crafts Nouveau
This vase is made of hammered copper which graduates in size from large to smaller up the vase and is decorated with stylised flowers- measures 11" tall and top opening is 3" wide- it does have some issues with some large dings to the bottom and some smaller dings elsewhere. However, it stands upright and displays nicely- the soldered seams are nice and tight- there are a few spots on the patina, thought it was better not to polish- it has the ostrich in the beehive with the letter G, the number 30 and WURTTEMBERG- I think this is an early item from around 1900-1905, if anyone has any comments, please send them- any questions, please ask.

It is found in good used condition, with a floral decorated gesso border. The interior fabric has a rose decorated design. There appears be a water stain in the corner. Primary colors are yellow, brown, green, white and red. This tray measures approximately 11 1/2" x 5 1/2" in size. Authentic antique art nouveau arts and crafts transitional ring: I am guessing that this is made from pewter by the look and feel of the metal. Amazing hand crafting evidence is seen on the back of the iris flower as hand hammering and shaping, beautiful and rare large iris flower graces the front of the ring with the face of a lady or child almost hidden in the design, adjustable band size- about a size 11 right now. Lovely hand etched or engraved floral pattern on the band. Good condition for being an original ring from the very early 1900's. Small hairline crack starting where the band meets the iris from being adjusted all these years(seen more so on the inside of the band) Perfectly wearable and totally unnoticeable, just mentioned for accuracy. Ravishing Antique Arts& Crafts- Nouveau pendant made of carved natural materials. 18 carat gold and set with a sapphire. Circa 1880-1900. Measures 1 1/4 inches accross widest part; 2 1/2 inches long. Including the loop. Weighs approx 15 grams. Shaped like half an egg/an oval. A sturdy. Wide loop suspends an openwork, sculpted design of scrolling ribbons, a bow in the center, set with a genuine sapphire. tested on Presidium gemstone tester) Intricate and very interesting design. Below this is an arc of roses, made of solid gold, set between two arching gold bands. A buckle-shape constitues most of the pendant. It is set with a'natural material' relief carving of a pair of lovers embrasing and kissing. The influence of the Pre-Raphaelite movement is clear in the flowing locks of the woman and the monkish, Renaissance style haircut ... moreof the youth. The couple is surrounded by carved flowers. They are clearly absorbed in their inner, personal reverie- eyes closed and arms twined around each other in a totally self-contained universe. Astonishing detail of the carving, both of the couple and the surrounding flowers, which are echoed in the floral, wide sleeve and her scrolling, flowing hair. The double gold frame is almost stark in comparison to the rich contents of the carved scene. Part of the natural. Buttery colour of the relief has been dyed a rich dark brown-black. THere are no hallmarks and no makers marks, but the gold does test for 18carat and the stone is a genuine sapphire, even if it does not play a central part in the pendant. Good condition.
