HUGE 46" X 44" ANTIQUE STAINED GLASS 1890's Church Window Beautiful!
This window was made in Germany in 1895. Brought to Pennsylvania by boat, placed on a covered wagon and brought to it's final destination in Kansas. A Methodist church. It was removed from the church in Kansas in 2010 and brought to Florida with us when we moved back. As expected with windows that are 117 years of age. There are small cracks and chips as expected. We even have 2 with bullet holes! This window is in excellent antique condition. There are some small chips in the wood and the there is of course original white paint on the outside that is old as expected. Other than that, it shows beautifully! The colors are vibrant! This window is NOT missing any glass sections. It is in excellent antique condition. The lead cames are strong too as is the barbed wire and metal rods. Nice heavy fir frame. Architectural Salvage: Beautiful 100% Complete STAINED GLASS WINDOW from Church
STAINED GLASS WINDOW FROM CHURCH ARCHITECTURAL SALVAGE FROM CHURCH Totally complete and intact stained glass window from a church. Dimensions: 39' horizontal; 36' top peak to bottom; and wood frame 2' thick. Stained glass is all original. 100% and in fantastic shape. Wood frame was bolstered with a metal bracket on the reverse. Wood was scraped but not stripped, I'll leave it to the buyer to strip/stain the frame anyway they want. There are some very minor repairs to the lead pieces that hold it together(I believe you call those repairs"braising" This was done recently and I took an'up close' photo to show it. Antique Stained Glass Window Hand of God Salvaged New York Church 1800s
I bought this stained glass window about 15 years ago from an Antique Dealer in NYS who was also a friend. He purchased a estate of an old Victorian home that was being demolished and salvaged all doors. Windows and alike. This stained glass had been salvaged by the owners of the Victorian home from an old church and they had a door built around the stained glass of their beloved church. I have the door and have included two pictures of it. I am selling the glass and you are welcomed to have the door as well but. I do not have any of the missing panels on each corner and bottom; I lost them while moving. I've seen similar shapes in on-line pictures of old church stained glass windows that were in the rounded ceilings. The design on this appears to be a stylized hand of God. Unlike any other I have seen. This is for pick up or for you ... moreto arrange your own pick up because it is too fragile to ship. This stained glass is old. From the mid to late 1800s and it needs some TLC as you can see in the picture. There are 2 pieces of glass that are broken(see last 2 pictures before door) and some of the joints need to be redone. All the pieces are there though and the 2 rods for reinforcement in the back are there too. Overall Measurement: 46-1/2" long by 25-3/4" wide at its widest. Up for auction is a very old antique leaded stained glass window from a church! It is definitely pre 1900. From the fleur-de-lis logos on this window. A French monarchy icon that once symbolized the trinity with its three leaves, this could be French? There are areas of damage in which is only expected from such an old item. I have taken pictures of all the damage I could see. A missing piece of light blue glass in pic 6& a missing light blue glass panel covered by a white board in pic 4& 8. RARE Leaded Stained Glass Window Blacksmith Hardware Frame Lock Stay Church
We believe from our research that this is at least an 18 th century window ~ possibly earlier. Windows can be difficult to date. I have included a link below to help you decide. I was told this window came out of an old church in Detroit. It could have been brought to historic Detroit with settlers from another country. Has been in storage for the last 30 years. Beautiful glass ~ has air bubbles. Wavy, swirls ~ no damage. Shades of green and clear rectangles. Metal frame. Original turnbuckle(handle, knob) and stay(the metal strip with holes that holds the window open to the desired width) The style shows these pieces were made by a blacksmith. There is a flat piece on the turnbuckle that locks the window. On the other side of the turnbuckle is a cutout“v” that locks the window in the open position just a little bit. You can see in one of ... morethe pictures the holes around the frame for mounting. This window is literally“ready for install” in your wall. Antique Stained Glass Roundel From Church Window Sun-Catcher Anchor 12 1/2" Anchor Stability and Security Hope in the faithfulness of God The Rope Recalls the rope used to bind our Lord when he was led away to the high priest. And thus symbolizes the betrayal and arrest. Description of Flaws-Damages This has some cracks in it. If you look at the rope where it curves at the bottom you will see it. While out taking some more pictures of this yesterday I noticed one more crack. It is in the bottom curve part of the anchor in the white glass. The last Two pictures shows the crack in the anchor looking at it from both sides. The third picture from the end shows the crack in the rope up close. Most of this one is made out of slag glass. The colors in it are so pretty the way they swirl into each other. If you look at the pictures of the Slag ... moreglass you will notice little crack like looking veins in it. I think it is just part of the glass. I am not sure. Please see the last six pictures that are close ups) This is such a pretty sun-catcher. I don't know if someone could fix the rope where the crack is or not. I would think maybe they could. If not its still very pretty. I hope my descriptions have helped as I have tried to point out any and all flaws that I see. First of all I will tell you I do not know a lot about stained glass. I do know the old church windows were beautiful and I could sit for hours and admire their beauty. These are from around the 1950's I believe. They came from an abandoned place of a man who made and redone Church Windows for churches thru out the U.S. The Roundels I am listing were laying amongst the broken glass and filth that had been overtaken by past vandals. Critters, you name it. There were photo pictures. Orders, receipts, etc, dating back to the 50's of different church windows he had made and worked on. On the left side of the Bible there is a strip of Gold. About half way up on the gold there is a little hair line crack. It is probably less than 1/8" or so. It is very hard to see it. There is also another crack at the bottom of the Bible on the red glass on the right hand side. See the last pictures above of the close ups to see them more clearly. I cant even imagine how you would cut glass that skinny and not have it crack every where. To me it is just amazing that there isn't more. LOCAL PICK UP ONLY! Very Scarce. Original ANTIQUE VICTORIAN ARCHED CHURCH WINDOW. Formerly with Stained Glass. All the glass is now gone. Lovely. Classic Dual-Arch, with Iron Horizontal bar supports in each half. Original White Paint. Very Chippy, and/or gone. SIZE: Approx 56" long. 36 1/2" High, 1 7/8" thick. Nice and sturdy Though quite large. It is manageable for 1 person, and with correct fasteners, can easily hang on a wall. CONDITION: I took a close up of one area at bottom. About 4" long, where wood rotted/or chipped, away. One iron bar does not stay put, but will if you insert a shim in its hole. There are many staples along edges, since plastic sheeting was put on when the glass broke out. Most paint either chipped or gone. Antique Stained Leaded Glass Window St. Patrick's Irish Motif from Phili Church
This antique stained leaded glass was a salvaged window from an old Church in Philadelphia. My father acquired it in 1970 and was told that it was at least 50 years old AT THAT TIME which would date it pre 1920. He had it beautifully framed in oak and hung it inside his home over a window to appreciate it's beauty. There are 4 holes through the corners of the frame which is how it was mounted. I have no where to display this piece so I have decided to part with it. The glass measures 16 3/4" wide by 28" tall and the frames' outside measurements are 21 3/4" X 33" Please realize this is a very old piece and it does have some cracks in the glass and some minor separation of the lead. All the glass is still well in place. This is a hand wrought work of art made by a skilled craftsman. I have provided 12 photographs ... morebut please don't hesitate to ask for any additional. Description This is a nice piece that was salvaged from a Philadelphia Church. It has a mostly green background with a kiln fired medallion at the top and smaller pieces at the bottom. It is in a brand new solid. Sturdy frame. It measures 33.75 inches wide. 38.25 inches tall and is 1.5 inches thick. The glass only is approximately 30 by 34.5. Overall it is in good condition. There are misc. scratches and dings as it is antique. It could use a good cleaning. There are a couple tight hairlines. Please look at the pictures carefully. Large Antique Church Stained Glass Window BEAUTIFUL OLD GLASS in Original Frame
Exquisite large stained glass window from Tabernacle Baptist Church of South River New Jersey. Best guess is church was built in late 1800's to early 1900's. Church was torn down in the 1990's and the window was preserved then in its original frame. The glass is old. In brilliant colors. Some of the glass pieces have wonderful swirls of color, and were probably hand rolled. You can see this in one picture which shows a purple swirl in the glass. Dimensions are: the glass panel itself are 40" high by 76" wide( that is over 3 feet by 6 feet! From edge to edge the window frame is 53 inches high and 94 inches wide. At the bottom is an attached hand painted piece of glass that says" Memory of Mary Martin from her Children" This glass piece can be removed. Exposing the rest of the stained glass panel behind it. Condition ... moreis very very good. This is a leaded window and the lead came is still solid so the pieces of glass do not wiggle. There are two small cracks in two pieces of the window, neither of which expose extra light or affect the overall beauty of the piece. You can see one in the last photo. The window is supported with rebars so it has not buckled or warped. In the photos, the large shadow strip down the center is a piece of metal in the back, which could be removed when the window is hung, Pick up only- We are just outside of Princeton New Jersey. Antique 1892 Lead Lined Stained Glass Church Window
Up for sale is a magnificent work of art! This is a original stained glass window from New Stark Prespretayian Church erected 1892. I got this farm fresh from the farmhouse that now sits were the church once did. I included a photo of the cornerstone that sits were the church was. Cornerstone not included. It was the last remaining intact piece. This window does have some flaws however. There are two cracks one towards bottom on outside and other to wards top right. Also there is a bb size whole with cracking around it. The window also has minor"bowing" in some spots from normal aging. None of these flaws affect the integrity of the piece and only show its character and what its been through to survive 122 years! The window measures 64" tall and is 33" wide. The frame will need repainted and it will need cleaned as it ... moreis in state I found other than a basic cleaning from me. Absolutely stunning stained glass window. The story of this piece is that it came out of St. James church in Newark NJ. I am told that hung in the entrance and dates to the late 1800s. The window is mainly amber in color but has many different colors and features a Fleur De Lis in the center. It has a thick wooden frame with two chains attached to both sides of the top of the frame for hanging. The previous owner hung this over a piano with a light source hitting it to show off all the colors. It functions well as a wall or hanging piece or can be incorporated into a home as a functioning window. It does have two cracks in the glass that are hair line and do not stand out too much. It can be repaired if desired. We felt it added a little character. The size is 57" wide x 29" high. You are looking at a fabulous STAINED GLASS WINDOW FROM AN 1800'S CHURCH. I purchase d 3 of these from Architectural Salvage in Grass Lake. Mi. He disassembles the buildings and brings the back to Mi to his shop. This church was in New Orleans or New England. After disassembling the church. He made windows from the huge stained glass window in the church. This window measures approximately 11 x 30 1/2. These are very unique& wonderful windows! I purchased 3 of these windows. ANTIQUE STAINED GLASS WINDOW ~ 24 X 25 /CHURCH
This is a nice piece that was salvaged from a Upstate New York Victorian Home/Church It has great colors and a nice design. one panel shown in pics is cracked and has tape on it. It is in the original frame which is in good shape and is painted on both sides. Needs repainting. The window measures approx. 25" tall and 24"wide and 2" thick. Overall it is in good condition. There are misc. scratches and dings as it is antique. It could use a good cleaning. The glazing putty needs touched up around the edges. Please look at the pictures carefully. 63 1/2" x 52" finished size including frame. From Presbyterian church in Southern Delaware. Circa 1890. Half Moon Lead. Appears lead was used in Germany for 10 years. Great Condition. Replacement cost by appraiser is $6.375. Had been hung in cathedral area of house with a window on outside protecting it from weather.
