The plates ... morehave a swirl pattern around a star burst in the center. There is a gold circle line around the star burst. Around the plates the glass is done in several different clear textured glass in a geometric pattern. The outside border is done in blue with white glass mix. The overall size of the panel is approximately 17 x 11. I want to note that the plates have a base about 1/2 high so the back side of the panel is not flat. This is to allow the front side to be flat to the edge of the plates where they then curve in for the plate. The panel can be hung in either direction as there rings in each corner. The patina on the solder is black and the frame is silver. All items are handmade by me using the Tiffany style of construction. Shipping: Insurance is included in shipping. In pretty decent shape for it's age with some imperfections to the glass and will need some restoration as sho wn. Description This is a piece that was salvaged from a Philadelphia Victorian Home. I believe it was originally part of a larger window. It has painted kiln fired columns at the sides with a Gothic Arch at the top. The background is purple with branches. Leaves, and clusters of fascet cut jewels. Nice looking window. It is sporting a new oak frame. It measures 24.5 inches wide. 25.25 inches tall and is 1.5 inches thick. Overall. It is in good condition. There are misc. scratches and dings as it is antique. Measuring 88" inches diameter. 4.5 inches thick and weighing@250lbs. Appraised at $12.000. The window is hand painted and fired utilizing pre turn of the century techniques. The glass used is very unique and includes cobalt(blue) Flash(red) and multiple other varieties of color phased and striated glass. History: A rose window(or Catherine window) is often used as a generic term applied to a circular window. But is especially used for those found in churches of the Gothic architectural style and being divided into segments by stone mullions and tracery. The name“rose window” was not used before the 17th century and according to the Oxford English Dictionary. Incredible Matching Set of Gothic Antique Church Stained Glass Windows
These are very large and very beautiful matched antique art noveau church stained glass windows. You cannot see all of the beautiful glass as my window is not tall enough to show them completely. They measure: 80" tall X 24" wide. They have a few cracked panels here and there but nothing major and no missing pieces. They are each set with a jewel in the center. One is blue and the other is orange/red. Beautiful pastel colors. Salmon, purple, yellow, green and sky blue. I love these windows and if they don't sell, I am happy to keep them. This is perfect to frame or hang and display as a low cost alternative to buying a vintage stained glass. This is just as old if not older. I believe this depicts Jesus with Mary Magdlene. dig the two angels looking on. It is also good for the stained glass maker. you can have the source materials of vintage designs. The item is 23 1/2 x 33. Photos clearly show the condition. I am not exactly sure of the maker of these. I have narrowed it down to Hardman& Co. Goddard& Gibbs, or Charles J. Connick Goddard& Gibbs(established 1868) The firm was initially established as Walter Gibbs& Sons on Blackfriars Road in London. The studio was taken over by James Clark& Sons. And in 1938 acquired Goddards Glass Works.
