Antique Vintage Stained Glass Panel. The center section is a Victorian era Panel from the Aesthetic Movement circa 1880-90s. It is hand stenciled and kiln fired. I added the border glass. The green is antique blown glass with the normal waves and air bubbles. The blue turquoise is Blenko blown glass from West Virginia. Measures 28 3/8" X 15 1/2" with 3/8" lead. Excellent condition with no cracks and normal age wear to center panel. It came from a church in the south west of england. Wonderful colours with the original coloured glass. Three central roundels. It has an overall size of about 26 x 8.25inches. Condition: Considering the age. The overall condition is very good with cracks to three smaller stained glass panels and a roundel in the same area. All as per pictures. This is a Gorgeous Small. Early Victorian, Stained Glass Panel with Original Came. It also has a BEAUTIFUL Red Bulls-Eye in the center. The different colors of glass are, Yellow, Purple, Light Blue, Med. Blue, and Red. Antique stained, hand-etched and painted leaded glass panel 6 ½ x 30 inches
This panel is from the border of a very old church window from upstate NY. We have cleaned and re-grouted the piece and added zinc edging for reinforcement. All the glass is original. This one of a kind. It features hand painted and etched work of a master artisan. There are some imperfections and some cracks but that’s part of their intrinsic charm. If you have ever been fascinated by the intricacy and harmony of color and line in old church windows. Check out this beautiful architectural beauty. My husband is a plumber and did a repipe and a bit more work a couple years ago in a century home in charleston sc. Owners were very nice and gave us some original fixtures, etc, etc that they were going to throw away, this piece of glass was actually from one of the original pocket doors that they replaced and we had to cut it out because the rest if the glass on door got broken.😟this panel is in beautiful condition, colors and textures of different glasses used are great, design is great, lead framing shows signs of where it was cut from door, no damage just glue/plaster like substance around perimeter, overall piece is in great condition with no breakage, chips or flakes. Vintage Stained/Leaded Glass Panel Historical Insert Late 1800s Chicago
For auction I have a stained glass panel built about 35 years ago. The center piece was salvaged from a wrecking site in Chicago's Gold Coast neighborhood in the 1980s. It was used soon after in this panel. Which I assembled in my studio. This historical insert was acid-etched, and dates back to the late 1800s. The remaining segments are French craquel and hand-cut Austrian jewels. The panel measures 12 7/8" X 17 5/8" If desired the hangers can be removed. Please excuse the poor photograph.
