Especially the ones that come out of the old Churches, like this one. This is just incredible. It is an older window that is about 43" tall. It has a wood frame with the old white paint on the front and brown on the back. The paint is now chippy and peely for a perfect patina. It has the amazing arched window at the center with twelve colored glass panes all around it. The center has an awesome pattern that I believe like the old stencil in white. Not sure if this is considered stencil. The colored glass all around is gorgeous in different colors. The bottom glass pane on the left has some cracks or a little break, as I show in some close ups. There is only one pane with a break. There is a slight separation to the wood at the top, as I show. There is some missing window putty, but it appears solid. This is such a statement making piece that will be one of your favorite items in your own home. Don't pass it up! ANTIQUE ACID ETCHED STAINED GLASS WINDOW SHARD
Up for bid is the 3rd piece. Portion or shard of an 19th century antique stained glass window I will post this week for bid. This piece is approximately 7" in length by a little over 4" wide, as seen in the pics. The colors are vivid blues, with an acid etched design in at least one of the pieces. A nice piece to hang by itself or add it to another window project. Purchased originally to be used by me in a window design, though I have found I just don't have the time to do it, so my loss is your gain. Antique stained, hand-etched and painted leaded glass panel 6 ½ x 30 inches
This panel is from the border of a very old church window from upstate NY. We have cleaned and re-grouted the piece and added zinc edging for reinforcement. All the glass is original. This one of a kind. It features hand painted and etched work of a master artisan. There are some imperfections and some cracks but that’s part of their intrinsic charm. Pr Antique Victorian Leaded Windows w/ Beveled Etched & Cut Glass
This is a really nice pair of matching leaded glass windows that date to the late 1800s. Each window measures 17" wide x 54" long including the 2 1/2" x 1 1/2" thick original wood frame and all pieces of glass are clear. The center of each piece has a 4" x 10" beveled oval with a floral shape cut into the glass. Around the oval is a 1/2" border with a line pattern glass that is identical to the glass that runs around the inner border of the window. Each corner has a 2" beveled cube with 1/2" side angles. Also made with the linear patterned glass. The outer edge of the window is 1" wide and acid etched. The condition is very good- the wood appears to have one, maybe two, coats of paint on each side that is very smooth- can easily be repainted without much prep-work. It is unusually pretty when back lit and could make spectacular wall hanging or room divider. The frame is solid fir that has had most of the old paint sanded off of it. The wood is ready for a new coat of paint or can be used as it is for a more rustic look.
