THIS IS SUCH AN INCREDIBLE FIND AND IS AN OLD SALVAGED CHURCH STAINED GLASS WINDOW WITH ... moreAN ARCHED SHAPE THAT IS ABOUT 3 1/2 FEET TALL I love the old windows. Especially the ones that come out of the old Churches, like this one. This is just incredible. It is an older window that is about 43" tall. It has a wood frame with the old white paint on the front and brown on the back. The paint is now chippy and peely for a perfect patina. It has the amazing arched window at the center with twelve colored glass panes all around it. The center has an awesome pattern that I believe like the old stencil in white. Not sure if this is considered stencil. The colored glass all around is gorgeous in different colors. The bottom glass pane on the left has some cracks or a little break, as I show in some close ups. There is only one pane with a break. There is a slight separation to the wood at the top, as I show. There is some missing window putty, but it appears solid. This is such a statement making piece that will be one of your favorite items in your own home. Don't pass it up! Great in any shabby chic, Victorian, Antique, romantic cottage or French country home. Measurements are about 43" tall by about 22" wide and 1 1/2" deep. It weighs about 12 pounds. Buyer to pay shipping and insurance of from $30.00 to the West and $55.00 to the East with UPS to the lower 48 states. If it comes out less. I will refund the difference for shipping and insurance. HUGE 46" X 44" ANTIQUE STAINED GLASS 1890's Church Window Beautiful!
This window was made in Germany in 1895. Brought to Pennsylvania by boat, placed on a covered wagon and brought to it's final destination in Kansas. A Methodist church. It was removed from the church in Kansas in 2010 and brought to Florida with us when we moved back. As expected with windows that are 117 years of age. There are small cracks and chips as expected. We even have 2 with bullet holes! This window is in excellent antique condition. There are some small chips in the wood and the there is of course original white paint on the outside that is old as expected. Other than that, it shows beautifully! The colors are vibrant! This window is NOT missing any glass sections. It is in excellent antique condition. The lead cames are strong too as is the barbed wire and metal rods. Nice heavy fir frame. Antique Stained Glass Window Hand of God Salvaged New York Church 1800s
I bought this stained glass window about 15 years ago from an Antique Dealer in NYS who was also a friend. He purchased a estate of an old Victorian home that was being demolished and salvaged all doors. Windows and alike. This stained glass had been salvaged by the owners of the Victorian home from an old church and they had a door built around the stained glass of their beloved church. I have the door and have included two pictures of it. I am selling the glass and you are welcomed to have the door as well but. I do not have any of the missing panels on each corner and bottom; I lost them while moving. I've seen similar shapes in on-line pictures of old church stained glass windows that were in the rounded ceilings. The design on this appears to be a stylized hand of God. Unlike any other I have seen. This is for pick up or for you ... moreto arrange your own pick up because it is too fragile to ship. This stained glass is old. From the mid to late 1800s and it needs some TLC as you can see in the picture. There are 2 pieces of glass that are broken(see last 2 pictures before door) and some of the joints need to be redone. All the pieces are there though and the 2 rods for reinforcement in the back are there too. Overall Measurement: 46-1/2" long by 25-3/4" wide at its widest. Up for auction is a very old antique leaded stained glass window from a church! It is definitely pre 1900. From the fleur-de-lis logos on this window. A French monarchy icon that once symbolized the trinity with its three leaves, this could be French? There are areas of damage in which is only expected from such an old item. I have taken pictures of all the damage I could see. A missing piece of light blue glass in pic 6& a missing light blue glass panel covered by a white board in pic 4& 8. Antique Stained Glass Roundel From Church Window Sun-Catcher Anchor 12 1/2" Anchor Stability and Security Hope in the faithfulness of God The Rope Recalls the rope used to bind our Lord when he was led away to the high priest. And thus symbolizes the betrayal and arrest. Description of Flaws-Damages This has some cracks in it. If you look at the rope where it curves at the bottom you will see it. While out taking some more pictures of this yesterday I noticed one more crack. It is in the bottom curve part of the anchor in the white glass. The last Two pictures shows the crack in the anchor looking at it from both sides. The third picture from the end shows the crack in the rope up close. Most of this one is made out of slag glass. The colors in it are so pretty the way they swirl into each other. If you look at the pictures of the Slag ... moreglass you will notice little crack like looking veins in it. I think it is just part of the glass. I am not sure. Please see the last six pictures that are close ups) This is such a pretty sun-catcher. I don't know if someone could fix the rope where the crack is or not. I would think maybe they could. If not its still very pretty. Antique Stained Leaded Glass Window St. Patrick's Irish Motif from Phili Church
This antique stained leaded glass was a salvaged window from an old Church in Philadelphia. My father acquired it in 1970 and was told that it was at least 50 years old AT THAT TIME which would date it pre 1920. He had it beautifully framed in oak and hung it inside his home over a window to appreciate it's beauty. There are 4 holes through the corners of the frame which is how it was mounted. I have no where to display this piece so I have decided to part with it. The glass measures 16 3/4" wide by 28" tall and the frames' outside measurements are 21 3/4" X 33" Please realize this is a very old piece and it does have some cracks in the glass and some minor separation of the lead. All the glass is still well in place. This is a hand wrought work of art made by a skilled craftsman. I have provided 12 photographs ... morebut please don't hesitate to ask for any additional. Antique Stained Glass Church Window Pre 1877 This beautiful antique stained glass church window dates prior to 1877. It is part of a larger set of church windows in a church I own. This window needs to be in a new building or church where it will be well-maintained. There are no visible cracks or chips. The colors are vibrant. The exterior of the window has been protected by a covering of thick glass for the past 25 + years. I have not found the window maker yet. But consulting with stained glass experts it is a very special window of quality made by a very good studio mostly likely in the Midwest. This church was completed in 1877 but the entire set of windows came from another church as a few of the windows have been slightly modified. However. I think the church was built with this specific set of windows in mind. Measurements: 31” wide ... morex 60” height(this measurement includes the wooden frame) The entire window will be removed by a reputable stained glass studio in the Midwest. Price includes removal. It is in a brand new solid. Sturdy frame. It measures 33.75 inches wide. 38.25 inches tall and is 1.5 inches thick. The glass only is approximately 30 by 34.5. Overall it is in good condition. Large Antique Church Stained Glass Window BEAUTIFUL OLD GLASS in Original Frame
Exquisite large stained glass window from Tabernacle Baptist Church of South River New Jersey. Best guess is church was built in late 1800's to early 1900's. Church was torn down in the 1990's and the window was preserved then in its original frame. The glass is old. In brilliant colors. Some of the glass pieces have wonderful swirls of color, and were probably hand rolled. You can see this in one picture which shows a purple swirl in the glass. Dimensions are: the glass panel itself are 40" high by 76" wide( that is over 3 feet by 6 feet! From edge to edge the window frame is 53 inches high and 94 inches wide. At the bottom is an attached hand painted piece of glass that says" Memory of Mary Martin from her Children" This glass piece can be removed. Exposing the rest of the stained glass panel behind it. Condition ... moreis very very good. This is a leaded window and the lead came is still solid so the pieces of glass do not wiggle. There are two small cracks in two pieces of the window, neither of which expose extra light or affect the overall beauty of the piece. You can see one in the last photo. The window is supported with rebars so it has not buckled or warped. In the photos, the large shadow strip down the center is a piece of metal in the back, which could be removed when the window is hung, Pick up only- We are just outside of Princeton New Jersey. Antique 1892 Lead Lined Stained Glass Church Window
Up for sale is a magnificent work of art! This is a original stained glass window from New Stark Prespretayian Church erected 1892. I got this farm fresh from the farmhouse that now sits were the church once did. I included a photo of the cornerstone that sits were the church was. Cornerstone not included. It was the last remaining intact piece. This window does have some flaws however. There are two cracks one towards bottom on outside and other to wards top right. Also there is a bb size whole with cracking around it. The window also has minor"bowing" in some spots from normal aging. None of these flaws affect the integrity of the piece and only show its character and what its been through to survive 122 years! The window measures 64" tall and is 33" wide. Absolutely stunning stained glass window. The story of this piece is that it came out of St. James church in Newark NJ. I am told that hung in the entrance and dates to the late 1800s. The window is mainly amber in color but has many different colors and features a Fleur De Lis in the center. It has a thick wooden frame with two chains attached to both sides of the top of the frame for hanging. The previous owner hung this over a piano with a light source hitting it to show off all the colors. It functions well as a wall or hanging piece or can be incorporated into a home as a functioning window. It does have two cracks in the glass that are hair line and do not stand out too much. Antique Stained Glass Window Church Salvage Jesus Come Unto Me 36" x 60"
Antique 1898 stained glass window. Figure of Christ with the text"Come Unto Me" at his feet. Window was salvaged from a Universalist Church in Iowa that was built in the late 1860s. The windows in the church were installed in 1898, and this window dates from this installation. Jesus' s face, hands, feet and robes were hand painted and kiln fired, he has deep, expressive eyes. Finely detailed window, the colors are bright and rich, blue background, red robes and colorful tiled floor add to the charm. Window measures 36" wide x 59" tall without the frame. Frame is not original, frame measures 41" wide x 64-1/2" tall. Winxow has been gently restored, all joints have been resoldered and the new oak frame adds strength and stability. Antique Mid 1800's Large Stained Glass Church Window Measures: 119 1/4" long x 40 3/4" wide with frame Inside frame measures: 112 1/2" x 35 1/4" Solid original wood frame is 1 3/4" thick There are 2 small chips and a small amount of missing glass in 1 pane and some areas with cracks There are 7 support bars on the back side which tie to the glass Some soft spots in wood frame and a few missing slivers of wood I have many more photos of this window. Antique Stained Glass Window Circa European Church Stunning in Great Condition
This is an amazing piece of architectural history. The owner of this window said it came from an old church in Europe in the late 1800's. The stained glass is hand painted stencils. It is in old heavy wood and has the two hinges still on the side. There is a small cracks in the little red glass under the circle. The bottom right hand corner rectangle is missing the small piece of glass. The entire glass is pretty solid and has a slight bow to it. Which I assume has been like that for years. The owner states the dealers tell him the red glass is the most valuable of all the glass. It measures 23 5/8" wide x 35" tall x 1.75" thick. I am selling a similar one on Ebay from the same church. Large Antique Stained Glass Church Window Dates Prior to 1850 This beautiful antique stained glass church window dates prior to 1850. It is part of a larger set of church windows in a church I own. This window needs to be in a new building or church where it will well-maintained. This is a very unique depiction of the Virgin Mary. Through researching stained glass I have found no other example which even comes close to this depiction. There are no visible cracks or chips. The colors are vibrant. The exterior of the window has been protected by a covering of thick glass for the past 25 + years. I have not found the window maker yet. But consulting with stained glass experts it is a very special window of quality made by a very good studio mostly likely in the Midwest. This church was completed in 1877 but the entire set of windows came from ... moreanother church as a few of the windows have been slightly modified. However. I think the church was built with this specific set of windows in mind. Measurements: about 6 ft. Width x 12 ft. Height(I don't have a ladder tall enough to get an exact measurement but I believe this is correct. The entire window will be removed by a reputable stained glass studio in the Midwest. Price includes removal. The window will remain in the church until the window is paid for in full. Date of removal will depend on the availability of the studio and the weather.
