The lower measures 24.25 wide by 36.5 tall. The glass only is approx. 20 by 32 also. They are 1.5 inches thick. Overall they are in good condition. There are misc. scratches and dings as they are antique. They could use a good cleaning. Both frames have chip and loss but are stable. There are a few small hairlines. For your consideration are these 5 large antique leaded glass windows. The group consists of 5 double panel arched top windows in their original frames. This listing lets you buy your choice of one. Up to 5. There are(4) that measure 15' 3" tall and 1 that measures 12' 2" tall. They are all 54" wide. They were originally removed from a church in upstate New York and subsequently stored up there for many years along with a vast assortment of other architectural antiques. They were recently discovered, purchased and moved to Atlanta, GA where they currently reside and these photos were taken. Obviously this is an impressive set of windows that these photos don't begin to do justice to, but we did the best we could. The outside has clear security glass covering the windows, most of which shows some damage. The photos are all of the inside of the windows. Stucturally, the leaded glass is very well preserved. Of course there are cracked and damaged pieces and almost every panel shows some weakness and deterioration at the bottom but nothing out of the ordinary. That being said, they still remain solid and present themselves quite well. Obviously this venue has it's limitations when it comes to photos of items this large. 2 STAINED GLASS WINDOWS ARCH TOP WITH ARABIC PROVERBS FROM LONDON
These 2 windows have been owned by myself for 30 years. They were saved from demolition by a friend who was working on a building in London. Just off Oxford Street in the early 1980's. We have kept them wrapped up carefully for most of those years but I did paint the rim of one of the windows pink as I was hoping to use it myself. The size of the 2 windows are the same. Measuring 22 inches(55 cms) high and 32 inches( 80 cms) wide. They weigh 2 stone 6 lbs( 15.42 kgs each) One of them opens with the brass hinges and catch present and intact. The other one does not open. The hand- painted inscriptions in the glass are very interesting. They are Sufi proverbs in Arabic script. My husband sought information about them 8 years ago from the V and A and then subsequently from a translator of Arabic. The building they came from was in Mandeville ... morePlace W1 and we were told that there were originally 8 of them which made up a dome. The dome was on the roof of the building and had been bricked over to prevent blast damage during WW2. The builders destroyed the rest of the dome and my husbands friend saved these 2. I have the emails from the V and A and the translations of the proverbs should any buyer wish to see them. As you can see from the pics they do require some restorative work but the impact of the colour. Design, shape and style remains impressive. The pink, aqua and deep red look stunning with light shining through them. Shipment will be arranged using a local company who work with FedEx for USA deliveries. DHL for European deliveries and UPS and the Royal Mail for everywhere else. They are experienced in shipping stained glass windows. 50 ROUND GLASS TYPEWRITER KEY TOPS WINDOWS These glass tops are for glass top typewriter keys. They are about 1/2 inch diameter. In good used vintage condition.
