Made of very thick glass. The beveled glass is designed in a stylized tulip pattern and reflects glints of rainbow colors at the edges in a most beautiful way! which is nearly impossible to photograph) It has a great"look" but does have some significant condition issues. The glass has one area where there is a cluster of multi-cracks. and there are several places where there are very scratched sections on the superficial surface of the glass(seems like someone rubbed back and forth with a knife blade at one time? ~perhaps trying to remove paint?a small area of push to the leading near the bottom(barely noticeable at all) the wooden frame is kinda funky in places. Has some old hanging loops embedded into the top for hanging by chains in a larger window. These condition issues seem to"blend in" with the background for whatever you see through the glass when placed in a window.and the viewer is simply dazzled by it's beauty!you could have the one section with the cracks replaced or you could"live with it" as I did) Measures: 34" wide.44" tall.the wooden frame is about 1 3/8" wide. Of English origin from around the 1899 mark. BEAUTIFUL CENTREPIECE- PAINTED AND KILN FIRED SHOWING A BEAUTIFUL COTTAGE WITH LADY TAKING WATER FROM THE LAKE. The frames are original and measure 24.75" x 77.75" each. In the picture immediately below, I have arranged the individual framed panels in a completely arbitrary composite. Description This is a nice piece that was salvaged from a Philadelphia stained glass studio that we bought out. I was told it could be by Mayer of Munch Germany. It was originally part of a larger window. This is a very finely painted window. It has a new oak frame and is in good condition. It measures just a hair over 20 inches wide by 26 inches tall. The glass only is approx. 15.75 by 21.75 inches. It is 1.5 inches thick. Overall it is in good condition. There are misc. scratches and dings as it is antique. It could use a good cleaning. This unusual hanging stained glass is 15 1/2” high and a little less than 11 1/2” wide. This hanging is breath-taking in person. Who doesn't love Grimm’s Fairy Tales. And Little Red Riding Hood is certainly one of the best known. My grandparents purchased this in the 1960’s in an antique shop in Germany. They were told that it was very old. I am not sure how old it is. I showed it to the owner of Artisan’s Glassworks which is a Baltimore co. which restores old glass, including stained glass windows for churches. He told me that he could not reproduce this piece today. He said that no one knows how to make the shade of red that’s in the stained glass anymore. He really loved it and said that he’d never seen anything like it. I know that I haven’t either. To me, the style of painting looks Victorian, but I cannot be positive. My grandmother ... morewas convinced that it was from the Middle Ages, and you could not convince her otherwise. Regardless of its exact age, it has a charm and attraction all its own. Antique Kiln Fired Painted Stained Glass Window Fragment, 2 Sizes Fleur de Lis
Own a unique piece of history! This window fragment dates to the 1890's. It was part of a salvaged panel of painted. Kiln fired stained glass from the Western Avenue Baptist Church in Toledo, Ohio. The panel was originally saved from an earlier church. The grounds where the church once stood have now been turned into a fellowship community garden. This fragment features fleur de lis patterns in two sizes. A strip of undecorated red stained glass really sets off the patterns. Some of the original lead is missing. Parts of the original lead that is in place need to be repaired or replaced. There is no damage to the glass. This fragment is difficult to measure due to its shape. As you look at the pictures, the bottom is about 5 3/4" wide. It tapers out to about 7" at the red strip. This is a very cool.very old little piece of painted glass. It was made to be wall art. But has been broken in several pieces.although all of the pieces seem to be there. It has a date on it of 1655, and was hand painted. It looks super old to me, so I believe that it is from 1655.but I'm not an expert. The writing seems to be in Latin. For your consideration is this wonderful group of 1800's Hand Painted Window Panes from an old church. There are six panes each 5 1/2" across by 9 1/4" tall. Together the group measures 22" wide at eh bottom by 18 1/2" tall. The glass is beautiful blue green hand poured glass. With bubbles inthe glass as shown, that has been hand painted in a delightful motif with cherubs and flowers in an urn. Most of the panes are cut on the edges, some are chipped off, as shown in photo number 9. These panes would be a wonderful project for stained glass or set in wooden frame, or also wonderful just as they are. The painting is beautiful with lots of detail and shading.
