I ... moream not an expert on furniture but would guess the chair dates from around the 1870's. Measuring approx. 25" total height x a seat measurement of 12-1/2" wide x 18" deepest. The back portion of the chair measures about 12" wide as you sit in it. From the floor to the seat measures 12" The pictures are not duplicated. They are taken on all sides so you can walk around this piece for a good look. Condition: The perfect size for a big doll or bear. Originally for a child and still very stable for use by a child. Nice condition for its age. NO broken wood, the finish has a old lacquer finish, and has some wear on rear inch of rocker, and a little shard clipped from runner which can be glued down. Seat is tight and has been restored for use. A very usable chair as you see it, very sturdy with NO sway to the back, NO loose rungs. Under the seat fabric is a newer piece of wood for its bottom. There is a crack in the back of the chair that is shown in the last photo which does not go all the way through to the front. Antique 1888 Conant & Bush Victorian Child's Rocking Chair Rocker Rattan & Cane
This Is An Authentic Beautiful Victorian Antique Child's Rocking Chair With An Amazing Fan Shaped Back. It Could Be Used As A Photographer's Prop. A Display Piece For Dolls or Bears, Or For Your Favorite Grandchild. According To The Label On The Bottom Of The Chair. This Rocker Was Made By Conant& Bush of Gardner, Mass* It Was Never Painted This Rocker Was Purchased For A Woman Named Jessie Who Was Born In 1888 Her Baby Picture Will Accompany Her Rocker On the back of her baby picture is written"Jessie Born 1888 in Hampton. N.H. This exceptional rocking chair is made of rattan. Reed, and cane. It is in very good antique condition. The chair used to have a caned seat and back. When the center cane pieces broke. Possibly because Jessie stood on it, a wooden seat was placed over the top of the original caned seat. That seat ... morehas holes some of which form at star. The cane remnants are under the wooden seat as shown in the 10th picture. It does have some other condition issues. None of these issues affects the chair's stability. There are several pieces of wound reed missing. Examples are shown in photos 6-8. One area has been bound with copper wire soldered into place. There are a couple of other areas along the chair's arms where the reed binding is broken or is missing. This is simply a stunning and authentic child's reed. Caned rocker that is 133 years old! As of the time I listed this rocking chair. Another Ebay seller was selling a envelope and stamp postmarked 1885 by the chair's makers Conant& Bush. This rocking chair is approx. 23" high. It's been painted, but it was many years ago because the most of the paint is worn off. From what I can see, there are traces of red, green and white paint. It is in good condition for it's age. But it is missing a piece of wood between the rear legs. still very sturdy. It weighs about 6 lbs. and measures approximately 21" high on the back. 10" high to the seat section, 20" from back to front and 12.5" wide at the widest section of the seat. Antique Rocking Chair for Child, c. 1920s, Bent Wood Arms, Molded Seat
Antique Rocking Chair for Child. C. 1920s, with Bent Wood Arms This adorable rocking chair was used by the brother of an elderly friend of mine when he was a young child in the late 1920s. The chair measures 24.5 inches high at the tallest(back) by almost 14 inches wide by over 20 inches deep(the length of the rockers on the bottom) the seat is about 10.25 inches high from the floor. The chair is made of what looks like pine although it does not match exactly to the graining of pine; perhaps it is a compilation of several different wood types. As you can see from the photos. There are five vertical splats in the back portion of the chair; the seat is molded to fit comfortably and the arms are made of bent wood. The chair is in tact and in original condition although there are marks on the underside of the bottom that may indicate it was refinished ... moreat some point; the marks may have been from the original varnishing, however. The top side of the seat has multiple hammer marks; I'm sorry that my efforts to photograph those marks didn't turn out well. My elderly friend told me that her brother used to beat the seat of the chair with a wooden mallet(much to the chagrin of his mother) thus making the little marks which now cover most of the surface of the seat. I don't consider those to be a flaw but instead, an important part of the history of the chair. There are no missing pieces or breaks in the wood; there are a few divots on the top of the back where the chair was hit in the distant past by something which took out a small amount of wood(25"X.50" Other than surface signs of loving use, this little chair is in great, useable condition and is ready for the next generation of tots who would enjoy its gentle rocking motion. Listed is a beautiful Antique Children's Rocking chair. This chair is made very well and it is still solid. Made out of oak. Has a cloth cushion. I am unsure of the exact age of this item. The screws used on the chair are look pretty old. Dimensions: Seat Height 14" Total Height 32" Total Length-30" Seat is 15" deep and 16" Wide. Chair Seat back height is 20-1/2" Tall. The condition is very good. There are some small dings and scratches from age and use. A couple of the seat cushion holders at the back of the chair are loose and are unable to be tightened. The cushion is very stable and tight. Cushion material is in pretty good condition for its age. This would be a very nice piece to add to a collection.

Antique Slat Rocker Child's Rocking Chair in Magnificent Original Condition Measurements 21 inch height 8 inch seat heigh 14 inch width 10 inch seat width 20 inch runners 11 inch seat depth What always amazes me about these antique pieces are the history of them. How many little ones climbed into this chair in the last century? Look at the wear to the paint on the arms where those tiny hands held on and to the top slat where many a head rested. Past inhabitants are probably in their 80's now! Yet after careful inspection. I find no repairs or restorations and this original piece is as solid and sturdy as the day it was built. The original woven seat is present but needs repaired. I am thinking a small woven rug would look great to cover it if you don't wish to spend the money for repairs. This is a rare. Fine and untouched Shaker#0 child's rocking chair. It appears to be in untouched condition and the taped seat is very likely original to the chair. I see no evidence of any repairs or replacements on the chair. It has"0" impressed on the back of the top rung but there are no other markings. It has wear in all of the right places and has the surface that you always hope to find on a treasure like this one. Antique rocking chair crafted from wood with rope seat petite adult or child
You can just picture some little mountain granny rocking away in this chair. Corncob pipe in hand and a butter churn nearby. This old rocker is like that granny: Rough hewn, rustic and charming. This chair has a medium wood tone and a rope or cord seat. It's 29 1/2 inches tall and the rockers are 27 inches long. The seat is 14 inches deep and 14 inches across from the back and 16 inches across at the front. The back rises 19 inches from the seat. The seat is sturdy and will hold an adult. But it was built more to the proportions of a 19th century woman. In short, it's small, so it would better fit a child or would make a great decorative piece. It's quite old. You are buying an antique rocking chair from the early 1900's. It is child size. It is for a child to sit on not to play with. It appears to my untrained eye to be a Stickley. Mission style, but it has no mark. If it is not a Stickly it was made to look like one. It is in very nice condition. However one leg is showing some splitting. I'm about 100 miles from Tulsa.Ok and just a bit further then that from OKC, OK. Beautiful child's rocker is 23 inches tall. 20& 1/2 inches widest measurement from arm to arm across. Bottom wood that forms the rocker is 21 inches long and has a width of 3/4 of an inch. Child's antique rocking chair's side width is 12& 1/2 inches measured along the tannish brown paper trim. About 2& 1/2 inches of thick paper trim is missing from one side. The other side has tears and I have tape holding it up to the chair for now. Back thick paper trim has no tears or repairs. Rocking chair has a red and green design at the top of chair see photos. Chair pads are rust. Beige, tan and brown ... morestriped with red stitching going through out it. One black tie on upper pad has broken off. Wicker behind is great condition. There is a thick cushion seat that matches the lining fabric below it. Wicker very good all over. Has a nail missing off one leg the others are there so no problem. One nail is sticking out I didn't attempt fixing see photo. Some little wicker holding nails underneath are poking out a bit. This is another great family piece. This was my grandfather's when he was a young child(born 1907) My late mother kept this chair forever. It has all the original mechanism brackets and bar. I think the cushions are not original. But are very old. They appear to have had buttons on them at one time. Cushions are not perfect, but are still very attractive on the chair. This is a nice one family owner piece with a great look and patina on the original finish. This has been carefully cared for throughout the years. Shows some minor wear being 100 years old and all, but far less than most still original examples that I have seen. Antique Mission Oak Stickley Style Child's Rocker Rocking Arm Chair Children's
Good used condition. Measures 29 inches from the floor to the top of the back. Each rocker measures 25 1/4 inches from end to end. All the joints are tight and there are no splits or cracks in any of the wood. One of the rockers is held on by two wood screws as you can see in the pictures. Antique Wood Carved Flower Child Rocking Chair
This really cute antique rocking chair belonged to my grandmother. It is made of wood and has a stunning carved flower on the back which is raised in design. I am not sure if the seat has been redone but it is a velvet type of material in a rich deep red color with black flowers. The chair is small for a child to sit and rock on or to put your favorite doll to display. Underneath the chair seat there is some black writing from a manufacturer of the seat. In nice condition with some light signs of wear and use. Especially for the age. A must have for any child or to decorate your home.

Antique Rocking Arm Chair Child Doll Upholstered with Springs Yellow Fabric 22"
This antique child's or doll's rocking chair was made pint size at only 22 inches tall. But in imitation of the quality and techniques utilized in genuine adult living room furniture. Wow! The solid wood frame is upholstered in a golden yellow textured heavy weight fabric. The seat is cushioned and supported by dual springs which allow the user to rock back and forth on the sturdy well-turned feet. Classic warm solid wood arm rests complete this traditional piece of furniture. Pieced together with dowels, staples, and Robertson head screws, this unique find could have been manufactured as far back as 1909. However, its actual age is unknown. Preowned. The stain on the arm rests and feet has been worn away in some spots. But this reveals the beautiful wood grains beneath. The top right corner of the upholstered seat back has an area ... moreof wear 1/4" wide by 1/2" long, but the wear affects only the top weave of the fabric, leaving the bottom weave intact. Although repairs have been made where the arms join the back. The chair is extremely sturdy. The height of the seat is 8" and it is 13 3/4" wide. The chair is 17" high from the floor to the top of the back. This is a keepsake piece for a child or grandchild and would also make a charming place to display your vintage dolls.
