The seats width is 18 1/4" x 17" deep. The seat is adjustable as well as the seat back. At the lowest point the seat height is 17 1/2" approx. and at its highest is 21 1/2" approx. Antique Vintage Office Chair- Fritz Cross- Wooden Very nice antique office chair. Made by the Fritz Cross Co of Saint Paul. MN. In very good condition. Is painted a brown color. Not sure if it is original to the chair although it does look like it. Seat back and seat bottom both adjust. Leather on back and seat looks to be original and in very good condition. No holes, tears, etc. Seat bottom adjusts up by a large screw in the base. It does turn but is hard to turn. I did not turn it enough to adjust the bottom but I don't think that is an issue. Chair frame and base are made of wood. Looks to be an early office chair. Seat base is 16 inches wide by 13 inches deep. Seat back is about 13 inches wide by 7 inches high. I have two as shown but this listing is for just one of them. The joints have metal brackets as shown. I have not tried to take them off but they both need some TLC. Also.On one of them two of the castors come off if you lift up the chair but I'm sure this is an easy fix. It looks like they were adjustable at one time but someone put brackets on the bottom to keep it from adjusting. I took quite a few pictures to show any damage and the brackets. The one on the left also has brackets on the base but the one on the right does not. They do however still swivel. But I can't find any dates on this chair. It is really comfortable to sit in-you can raise or lower the seat level and the back-rest can be adjusted to fit your posture. The chair swivels and has casters for rolling around. The back rest also swivels completely around(see the picture where I show it perpendicular to the floor. The upholstery is a tweed type material in orange/brown/black. The outdoor photos show the color the best. I don't know if this is the original upholstery or not. Vintage Mid Century Industrial Tanker Retro Chromcraft Office DESK CHAIR
Up for auction is this great industrial office chair. It is made by Chromcraft. St Louis. Chromcraft moved from St Louis in 1962 so the chair is definitely before that time- my guess is 1940's or 1950's. It is very heavy duty- is comfortable and rolls perfect on its casters. Vintage Remington Rand Industrial Metal Office Swivel Chair Steampunk Goodform
For sale is one vintage Remington Rand secretarial swivel chair from the 1930s. It is in excellent original condition. This Remington Rand chair features the early"leaf spring" steel base design of this type of chair. Before Goodform would make famous with a redesigned aluminum base. The backrest and metal plate behind the back cushion are aluminum, but they are painted the same gray color as the rest of the chair. The perforated vinyl cushions are in excellent original condition also; the seat has very minor wear on the front left corner, and the backrest has one rather noticeable spot of wear at the very top edge(pictured) All mechanical adjustments function properly. Seat height adjusts from 16"21" This chair also has its original casters, and, while they swivel properly and the bearings are good, the wheels are rather ... morechewed up. It still rolls fine, but you might want to find replacement wheels for the casters. Fortunately, they are made to be removed, as the axle is attached with a nut. A fine early example of a chair that would soon become a staple of the industry. And one that would look perfect in any vintage industrial or steampunk interior. Up into the beginning of the mid century modern movement in the 1930's and 40's, this is actually a high back design, with very cool rustic wingback styling. Made in England circa 1900 Walnut frame New leather Scooped seat Good. Sturdy condition, This is a really sharp looking antique desk chair from England. We estimate it was made around 1900. It has a solid walnut frame and leather upholstery. This chair has several good looking features which really dividing into two categories: frame and upholstery. The frame is walnut and remains very sturdy today. It has a beautiful light brown patina that would go well with a variety of wood types. The seat is a“scooped” seat which means the part you sit on ... morewas actually scooped out with a tool from a large solid piece of wood. In this case the seat is made from two halves joined together. The arm rests and front legs are turned and have nice detail on them. The front legs also end in brass casters with brown porcelain wheels on them. They join to the back legs with an“H” stretcher which provides plenty of support. The dark brown leather is new to the chair. Probably added to replace worn upholstery/leather. The leather is very soft and comfortable and is in pristine condition. Overall this chair is in good condition. There is a slight separation where the two seat halves join. And a smaller separation on the right side of the seat(very small) These are cosmetic only(due to the shrinkage of wood over many years) and do not affect the structural integrity of the chair. In fact, this chair is very sturdy, and ready for immediate every day use. This is a comfortable and beautiful antique desk chair that anyone would be happy to have! Vintage Sikes Walnut Swivel Office Chair
Antique Sikes Solid Walnut Banker's Chair This stylish swivel office chair was produced by the Sikes Company of Philadelphia. It was most likely manufactured in the 1930's and is modeled after the British Banker's chair. The seat height and back tension are fully adjustable. The walnut is structurally and cosmetically in very good condition and the finish appears to be original. With normal aging for a chair that is about 80 years old. The casters are also original and show some wear. This is a heavy chair. they just don't make them like this anymore. Although it is solid wood. The contours of the back, seat, and arms make it very comfortable. I purchased this particular chair from an Antique dealer in Southern California about 10 years ago. Here we have a very cool vintage/antique banker chair by W.H. Gunlocke out of New York. This chair dates back between the 1940's-1960's per the label. Actual year of making I am not sure. Was owned by Virginia National Bank many many years ago and has their logo on the leg. Along with Gunlocke logo on the back area and the paper label on the bottom. Seat and back rest are a funky green. Seat is a burlap/ tweed type fabric. The back rest is leather or a vinyl type of material. Chair seat could use cleaning and the rest of the chair has some light scratches and use issues. Nothing beyond the normal wear and tear. A great rare vintage collectable.
